Xbone being the PS4 minus ten percent didn't hurt it even remotely as much as the unfathomably awful dumpster fire launch that completely gave up YEARS of momentum in a single 90 minute time slot, if it had price parity and Halo on launch then it could've made a solid argument for itself but they missed the mark entirely. The extremely gamer hostile practices in favor of angling for the set top box crowd in addition to the forced $100 Kinect addon is what did them in, it was just an incredibly bad value proposition when the PS4 would just fricking play video games with no bullshit for a hundred bucks less and it had a better launch lineup to boot.
