funny adult cartoon, usually well written at that. i wish they leaned a little more into the spy action and character writing instead of over relying on gags. it's not like the show doesn't have serious moments, it actually handles them pretty well but often feels like they're too afraid to let the dramatic moments breathe for too long in case we might forget it's a comedy.

From what I heard they actually were trying to get a telltale game going but it was cancelled since it was being done around season 4 and Jackson was overworked.

It's more that the creators actually had creative control and would've probably wanted to be heavily involved in the game, kind of like how Matt & Trey were heavily involved in the South Park RPGs, but must've either decided against it or lacked the time.

I dunno, the solitary nature is kind of what creates that sense of longing. You can't miss something that's never gone, you can't want something that you always have. The era of instant gratification and being able to binge anything anywhere means there's no hype.
A 30-minute anime episode would hit harder when you spent all week waiting for it, wondering what could happen next. Then the day comes, you wait all day and then all the way until midnight to quietly turn on your TV to get a brief window into a medium, a culture, and a fantasy world that wasn't made for you. Then the ending credits hit, and it's gone. All you have left is your memories and you can't even describe this amazing thing to your parents and friends without sounding like a lunatic
