I came to post this, bring back puppeteering controls, put assassinations and different setups for those assassinations front and center. they've abandoned the sci fi plot as far as I'm concerned so just forget about it and keep it to the historical story. you could ditch the animus even. there's no real pretext required for a historical thriller, and without a creative vision to see through the science fiction, it should just be scrapped entirely. just do the ancient aliens shit if you must, but drop the animus.
well written interesting characters like haytham
beautiful cities and architecture like from 2 and unity
cool mc like ezio or edward
clothing customization and downwards parkour from unity but with proper controls from 2
and bring back desmond with his old team
I played 1 and I was invested in the overarching plot with the whole scifi shit going on, heard it never really got anywhere and even though the game was marketed back then as a "trilogy" there's like 20 of them now.
>if you weren't a fan before
But I was a fan before, so to answer that question you would have to go back in time, not kill desmond, slowly bleed the story into a more irl setting where we play desmond for a full game. Alternatively give up on the franchise and use the tech to do more cool shit like black flag.
Nothing I can think of. I played 1 back on release and didn't enjoy it at all. I checked in on the series periodically because some friends buy it every year and it seems like the same shit but with the usual ubisoft cancer. Fake ass rpg elements, open world time wasters to pad gametime, just another open world monogame and they seemed to have removed the one interesting feature of the first game which was the ability to blend into crowds of civilians
i only played 2 and stopped when a mission kept failing me cause i wasn't sneaking the way it wanted me to, not cause anyone spotted me, i just wasn't doing exactly what it wanted.
what's the point of an open world where you can't do what you want?
also the framing tool of the future guy going back in time through his memories is fricking moronic, not just because it makes no sense, but it's completely unnecessary, just make a frickin period piece
They should've just dropped the assassin creed name 10 years ago and fully embraced historical action adventure. Everyone loved 4 and wanted them to go in that direction but Ubisoft was too afraid of losing the brand recognition so every game was pulled down by shitty "stealth" mechanics and moronic assassin/Templar plots
Ass
to Ass
FUN.
ENGAGING STORIES.
You might look to Starfield on GamePass if you have it.
No. I'm not gaslighted by Tom Howard marketing private militia . Thank you.
if kassandra became real and came to my house and wanted me to get her pregnant
if the control scheme and gameplay was like ac 2 and it focused on assassination instead of relying on shitty and shallow rpg mechanics

Unity without the buggy animations + wall-ejects would be the quintessential for me. Bring back hostage/kidnapping and I'm good.
The assassinations were always boring 1 hit kills. The stealth was always shallow. The franchise has always sucked

If they turned into historical Hitman
is that lara or am i fighting fart clouds of historical events that are not there
we'll see

0 Black folk
Unity 2
Make it more like Brotherhood

Anyone else waiting for the game to unlock on Ubisoft+?

2's gameplay sucked ass and was only carried by a good cast of characters and decent story. Still the top 3 ACs though which says a lot
signal hard that you're anti-woke and I'll buy it
Just put this zombie of a franchise down already and come with something new, ubishit

Fun gameplay, which none of them have
I only play odyssey because I love the setting
A game set in the civil war, napoleonic war, world war 1.
