they aren't going to make two different versions of the mythic raid and they aren't going to get rid of 20-man raiding because every raiding guild would have to cut their roster in half and the backlash would be insane
the other stuff would be cool, but they already tried to steal deep dungeons and it was fricking terrible because they made it mandatory for progression and it wasn't good enough to run that many times.
It's a sacrifice that would actually be healthier for the game in the long run. So many more people would actually do the mythic raid because managing 20+ people is a nightmare for most people. Frick the top guilds, they will lose members but new teams will form from the split anyway and make things more interesting.
making the max raid size smaller than the number of available classes is not a great idea unless you've figured out a way to get people to stop chasing the meta. every single tier would just be a new shitstorm as the lowest simming classes suddenly can't find a group for shit.
the exact same thing happens in M+ groups.
Wow is a seasonal raid game, just roll a meta class.

I think the current expansion is really good but I don't play it. The games just a bit dated at this point with too much bloat from 10 years of expansions, time to pack it up and start again.

My issue with contemporary WoW is its playerbase. Nothing they can promise me content-wise would make any difference. Don't get me wrong I have problems with the game itself but even if they made it perfect the players still suck ass and I don't wanna interact with them anymore.

Nothing will bring me back. MMORPGs are a dead genre. I was fooled into Dragonshit would fix things but the reality is there's nothing that can be fixed. It's dead. The talent trees are illusion of choice. Each class only has like 1 or 2 decisions they can make as far as talents without taking a significant DPS loss and the difference between the 2 is enough for there to always be a clear winner. I'd honestly rather they go back to the system where you pick 1 skill our of 3 for a few tiers. This gave you more abilities and they were all generally good and while ther ewas always a clear good better best they could focus more on balancing this than enormous shit talent trees.
But like said nothing will bring me back. Raids are largely unfun, trash in them is boring, dungeons are cool but mythic jerkoff sessions aren't fun and there's no reason to touch dungeons otherwise. Balance is the worst it has ever been and even worse in PvP.
Absolutely nothing can salvage the story/lore now unless we get a "whoa it was all a dream" and wake up after a fight with Arthas but even then the confidence in current Blizz to not shit the bed with a soft reset? zero.

I seriously don't get how M+ ever caught on and became a mainstay, making more challenging dungeons sounds like a good idea, making them forced speedruns so you need to learn routes and cause people to be fricked over if anyone in the group fricks up (or even has the classic RL emergencies or internet issues)
