rewrite the story, energy crisis is already happening but Rose has done everything possible to keep it a secret. You can see lights flickering in buildings. The train stops in the wild area because it run out of power. During a gym battle, the lights go off.
The Rose fight happens before eternatus escapes, arguing that using eternatus as a living battery is their only option. Eternamax fight has Leon and Rose teaming up with you, Hop and you have to use the dogs mandatory.
Eternatus is defeated but goes underground instead of being caught. Rose surrenders and Oleana now runs the league. Final battle against Leon has a true team and not scraps from Unova.
Wild area graphical improvements, add caves that have mini dungeons. Post game is about the bogdanoff using the dog you didn't choose during the main game to take over galar by force instead. Oleana then contacts you and claims eternatus was spotted outside of main galar.
After you complete the dlc areas (post game only now), you can find eternatus in the dynamax den which is its own expanded area now. After this, you can do the legendary hunt as expected.
I gave up on the Zygarde and just transferred one from moon. I was able to get it's dog form into 100 percent even though it was 10 percent with aura break when I went to stow on side to get the cube.

These dungeons would vary from a branch of Galar Mine #2 full of fire and rock types to the sewers under Motostoke full of poison types to a dense woodland in the wild area full of bugs and grass types. After you beat Leon nearly all of them would house a legendary or something of equal rarity, like one of the other starters or a guaranteed shiny.
2. Flesh out the Rose plot. He was worried about a power outage that we have a thousand years to prevent? What a moron. Make it 10 days or something like that, actual stakes.
3. Improve the texture quality. The game looks like ass, and I'm sure the switch can handle the textures looking better. If not, then move the 3rd version to the Switch 2.
4. A new legendary dog to make them a trio. Zayero, the Steel/Electric Spear dog that gets a boost to Speed on switch in and turns Steel moves into Behemoth Bayonet.
5. If we're keeping Dynamaxing, then more Gigantamax forms. Eldegoss, Dragapult, and the Galar Fossils should all have one at least, and probably more non-Galar or Kanto mons too.
