I only played the ps1 fighting game, it was ok but fricking easy, and the PS2 turn based rpg, that one was awful how long the loadings were when it started a fight
On one hand I liked inuyasha but on the other I hate the fact that Rumiko hasn't stopped trying to recapture that and keeps crapping out knock off series.
The show deserves way more. There's so much good ideas in the show that's just been flaundered by poor, awful execution and writing. Imagine a remake that took all the good ideas and ran with it. A group of adventurers travelling across feudal Japan fighting demons, tragic pasts, spirituality, an enemy constantly ahead of them leaving disaster around them, only encountering him head on on rare occasions, there's so much good that could come out of this story but it was wasted.
The romance is a big reason why I loved it as a kid, it just needed to be more condensed. There were too many similar kikyo scenes that were stretched out and ruined the moments between kikyo and inuyasha. They could have done way more with less.
the filler helped with world building. It was actually the filler in my mind that was pretty good. The naraku stuff was really poorly done. You could have had half the encounters with Naraku and it would have stuck better.
It's been a long time since I read it, but I remember more than half the story spent just going around and beating up the demon of the week to gather a shard of the Miroku israeliteel or whatever it was called. I think there was a diamond sword at some point that could shoot tiny diamond swords.
Yup femoid garbage
The movies are okay though

maybe I was too hopeful. it was written right there.

And Sesshomaru is peak sigma male bishonen for angsty teen girls. Even if Kagura had feelings for him, he probably wouldn't give two shits.

grandma rumiko must have been a fujo since she learnt to read. I wonder how were the good old days of comiket...
how many female mangaka could ever hope to be like her?
Started watching this for the first time ever just earlier this week, the late 90s/early 2000s animation and artstyle is pure SOUL. Only ten episodes in, how long until it gets very repetitive like I hear so many people criticize it for?
When the group starts meeting Naraku is when it starts getting really repetitive. Every encounter with him is the same played out exactly the same way. It's such a shame. But there are good stories scattered throughout.
Inuyasha is more about the characters and their relationships than the story
I'll admit the shikon israeliteel gimmick does get repetitive and turns into villain of the week but I re-watched it not too long ago in preparation for the sequel and it was just as good as I remembered
Enjoyed it all the way up to the Band of Seven arc. After that, Naraku becomes less interesting and acts like a big bad that has planned everything out.
I want an inuuasha game like that dragon ball kakkarot game. It'd be perfect playing as the group going around japan solving villagers problems and collecting sacred israeliteel shards.
Reading this thread has made me realize how incredibly similar Inuyasha is to Dragon Quest in terms of structure >there is a main plot and main villain but they only appear sometimes >much of the story is smaller episodic arcs where the party goes from village to village and fights a baddie of the month
The group even feels straight out of a JRPG
>videogame board >mmm yes the perfect place to make a thread for a literal who anime from the 90s
lmao are you all so old and senile that you forgot what board you're on?
>a literal who anime
a literal who anime wouldnt get 200 episodes and 4 movies
the author also became the richest woman in japan
this is like not knowing what harry potter is
>Inuyasha considered by many to be one of Rumiko's weaker works as a whole >It's the most popular in the west because of toonami
Funny how that works out
What even happened? Like, Inuyasha's father was like a super strong and rare demon and the big bad guy of the anime was just some random simp that let trillions of fodder demons infest his soul just to become a weak, generic demon and he needed the israeliteels to become OP?
no idea but id so go gay for inuyasha
Bro
Not Sesshomaru?
Imagine the dog sex.

Why is she so shekelpilled?
Warcraft 3 Anime Hero Arena
There is as no one in the lobby
This series would make a good setting for a Metroidvania like Deedli did.
>Metroidvania
There's no such thing.
Inuyasha music is so fricking kino
Agreed
Must be some male Japanese composers who are finally not sick of femoids for once
I mean she didn't totally blow it

It's been femoidedRAW

Most of the show is just filler with little to no world building

I'm pretty sure it was only used on her as a test. He doesn't care to bring anyone back.

It's extreme KINO yes. I don't remember, but I watched it very slowly so maybe I never noticed the repetition.
As soon as miasma and poisonous insects starts being a thing
It has a lot of filler monster of the week kind of stuff later on, with some actual kino stuff happening every now and then
Inuyasha is more about the characters and their relationships than the story

Early inuyasha is so comfy, its a shame it goes down hill from there. The only redeemable quality are the movies which may or may not even be canon.
Did Inuyasha ever do a crossover with Ranma?
Nah he would've fricked Ranma
Shit would've been gay
Inuyasha only wants Kikiyo and Kagome.
He gets new b***hes all the time that's why women draw him
You're either tranma or gigadogwiener in order to get women
>Is that fricking ataru? why does he look like ash ketchum?
Filth angers the cat
For me, it's Jaken
Enjoyed it all the way up to the Band of Seven arc. After that, Naraku becomes less interesting and acts like a big bad that has planned everything out.
Inuyasha gave me a feeling of intrigue and wanderlust like no other show
It really did grand scene pieces extremely well
You hear it, you lose.
wasn't there an RPG game on the PS2 that was pretty decent?
I want an inuuasha game like that dragon ball kakkarot game. It'd be perfect playing as the group going around japan solving villagers problems and collecting sacred israeliteel shards.

Don't compare Dai no Daibouken to this f*m*id trash
Pop's fire and ice technique was enough to be Hajime no Ippo hype
Inuyasha is Dragonball Z for girls.
Inuyasha isn't anything like DBZ
Nah, Inuyasha fights are over in like 5 minutes if not less
You can't make a good game out of something that isn't good in the first place.
Video games?
Probably the only anime I really respect.
Anime Hero Arena was the premiere Inuyasha experience for a good stretch of years.
I generally played Sesho (I cannot spell his full name)

Clussy?
I remember burning CDs with Inuyasha music and playing it on my CD player while I slept
I remember the Trapt - Headstrong Inuyasha AMV. Too many viewings
>Inuyasha considered by many to be one of Rumiko's weaker works as a whole

Funny how that works out
It's weak but only because Rumiko is just a weak story teller. The world of Inuyasha is genuinely cool.
What even happened? Like, Inuyasha's father was like a super strong and rare demon and the big bad guy of the anime was just some random simp that let trillions of fodder demons infest his soul just to become a weak, generic demon and he needed the israeliteels to become OP?
the ps1 fighting game
the PS2 rpg one where you were a self insert
