The colors are completely wrecked. I feel like you're trying to mimic a real gbc screen but it looks nothing like that. Just get an everdrive and play on og hardware. With that filter you probably can't see shit, including the color variations on Pokemon.
All pokemon have variations. Its just obvious with magikar because they are based on koi. You are probably colorblind if you didn't realize this.
All mons have color variations, but those are forms.
do they effect the gyrados
>They're just a fun thing to collect and meaningless otherwise.
Gyarados doesn't have any forms relating to it. Though Polished Crystal actually does turn Red Gyarados into an alt form of Gyarados instead of a shiny, which does make sense considering it's lore.
>which does make sense considering it's lore.
no it doesnt. shiny is a fan term. the original, actual name for them is "alternate color pokemon". a red gyarados is an alternate color of gyarados. why would you un-alternate color it? devs are morons
OK? TCG is managed by Creatures and that name was never used outside of the cards
even bulbapedo had to concede that the term is not correct, because they wrote an entire copium article about it and still implicitly admit it's misleading
https://bulbapedia.bulbagarden.net/wiki/Terminology_of_Shiny_Pok%C3%A9mon
The Red Gyarados is presumably meant to be the result of forced evolution by Rocket's experiment. Changing it from a shiny lets Gyarados have a new shiny form (effectively meaning four colors of Gyarados) but also makes naturally found shiny Magikarp/Gyarados feel better to have
yes, on a small screen such as my phone it looks very convincing
I think the reason the screenshots look so fricked is that my app that removes blue light for some reason turns itself on when taking a screenshot, but isnt visible in game

its not about the size of the screen its about the density/size of the pixels. it would look goodd on a 4k or 8k monitor too.

hmm i'm not so sure
those black lines which are supposed to be the cells are tiny on the real gameboy
if you blow it up it's gonna look like ass no matter what you do
>All mons have color variations, but those are forms.
Not if you chose the more vanilla version of the game, the magikarps still have variations there though
>elegant gen 2 infoscreen is now cluttered with random garbage and they've added random abilities to a game not balanced for it
why are people making romhacks of a gen they dislike? if you want to make a cluttered shitshow, the frlg engine has been a base for romhacks with nu-gen shit shoved into it for over a decade
Is there anyway to evolve Electabuzz before the E4?
I got him from the day care egg and added it to my team and only realized that his evo item is in kanto from what i've been able to find
Didn't they add back the removed mons in the new PC box update?
Either way, I'm personally not too keen on it because it tries too hard to be more of an HGSS devamp than maintain the feel of Gen 2.
It does feel basically just like gen 2 though. There are new areas and backported HGSS features yes but the original maps have been almost entirely untouched.
Just meant to look like different Koi carp
pokemon crystal has such good aesthetics. one of the most beautiful pokegames
They're from Magikarp Jump.
There's at least 5 variations so far.
Trash romhack. I like to transfer my Pokémon
You can transfer your pokemon to pkhex and then to violent shit like all the groomers do just fine
>Playing shartlet and violence
I'm not a shitskin
>can only transfer up to Gen 7 and up for GB games
Why bother
I like to transfer my dick in your ass.
They're from the Magikarp smartphone game. They're just a fun thing to collect and meaningless otherwise.
Also the frick is that filter Anon that looks awful
>looks awful
for some reason the screenshots look weird

"no".

Not anymore.
>shiny is a fan term.
It hasn't been since Gen V. Play the games.

it looks much better on my phone thoughever
Your phone screen has a far better dpi than most widely purchased and used monitors.

god damn that filter looks like shit OP
To be fair filters only look good at the exact scale they are made for.

They think they can fix gen 2 without having ever played the original

Is there anyway to evolve Electabuzz before the E4?
I got him from the day care egg and added it to my team and only realized that his evo item is in kanto from what i've been able to find
>removes pokemon to make room for gen 4 mons
>doesn't even commit to adding all of the gen 4 mons
This doesn't feel polished at all.
Didn't they add back the removed mons in the new PC box update?
