What's insane to me about him is his exponentially fast growth, comparable to even the player character. Usually rivals have to level up over the course of an entire journey/game, which is probably like weeks or even months. Meanwhile in a matter of a few days, Kieran levels up his Pokemon to the mid to high 70s range, fully evolves them, gives them good movesets, gives them held items, AND EV trains them. He'd probably be the protag in a universe where Florian/Juliana didn't exist

what being an incel does to a man
Volo was the same and he was popular enough with women to continue his bloodline. Maybe it's because he was 190cm?
Good genes all around.
You can catch Ogerpon at like level 20 if you do the DLC early enough
> He'd probably be the protag in a universe where Florian/Juliana didn't exist
funny you’d say that
>Indigo Disk comes out
>Kieran's desire/wish is to be the main character
>his desire reveals to him that the world is just a game
>Achieves CHIM
>realizes he would still be (You)r pawn if he is given main character status
>battles and loses to us but decides he will never forgive (You) and leaves with everyone thinking he's a schizo
>comes back every mainline game as a post-game superboss rival who is always chasing after the latest incarnation of the player
"CHIM" what does this means?
Michael Kirkbride
Elder Scroll term from Morrowind.
A character in the story realized the world is a game (godhead dream) and became a god in lore as a result.
So dumb, so edgy, and sounds like something Toby Fox would put in a game
And I’m pissed that it will never happen
>says stuff like "I know who you really are. No, the other you." each time.
Would be kino
He would be the anti Arceus in that case. The easiest way to get Arceus is to play his game and if you have BDSP, he'll give you another shard to catch. Effectively always being with You as long as you bring him with you.
I was thinking he would be (You)r rival from now on.
Not the main character, they would still have their journey, with their rival and antagonists.
But at the end of each one, he would be waiting for YOU, with all the bullshit power creep, new mechanics, whatever overtuned to shit.
And everytime (You) still seek him out cause you want the thrill.
As far as the story is concerned, the hero is just being accosted by an increasingly unhinged powerful weirdo, after saving the world. But you both know better.
>implying gamefreak would even put in the effort for an easily repeatable kino post-game event though...
we kawaki now
Everyone in Kitikami scales to your team's levels anon. What he did was nothung impressive except b***h and moan the whole time
Literally no other rival has held items and strategies like he does.
He will be the final boss in DLC 2
>He will be the final boss in DLC 2
No, but the thing he will release from the depths of Area Zero with the help of Briar will be. He'll be so desperate for power that he will incapacitate his sister, summon whatever paradox frickery is down there and you'll have a "tera raid" fight with you, Arven, Penny and Nemona to cap off the game's development.
Not that I'd know. :^)
It'll be the Paulo arc but more efficient.
I think he will shove Briar out of the way and then Terapagos will grant his desire to be strongest in the world which inevitably causes his own death
kirby superstar ripoff
the dlc rival in swsh also gains like 50 levels over 1 hour of playtime. it's just halfassed scaling
I won’t be shocked if he has like lv90 pokemon in the second DLC considering it isn’t accessible until you beat everything else
Honestly, lvl 100 would me kino
>tfw Kieren sends out a level 110 Dripplin evo
>Kieran rolls up his sleeve
>has a mega ring
>Kieran "witness the true power"
>mega evolve motherfricking Flygon
The fact that this will never happen is so saddening.
>he pulls out the mega ring, loses
>next mon, he busts out a Z MOVE, still loses
>gets more unhinged, crowd gets worried
>throws a FRICKING GIGANTAMAX POKEMON, causing chaos in the arena
Datamines would spoil you 1,000% before you'd get the chance
>Kieran comes at you with a team full of Level 100 legendaries
>Both formes of Kyurem, Ultra Necrozma, Terapagos, Ogerpon, capped off with a Mega Fug that teras into the 19th type and uses a Z-Powered 19th type Dragon Ascent
>Keiran? Heh.... I haven't been called that name in a long time...
KINO
i fricking kneel
>the many lives he's taken as a pokemon trainer
how do people actually write this shit without feeling embarrassed before even saving the image
probably because it made ironically or by a literal 12 year old
Ma-Masaka???!
the edge "Nothin personel kid"
FRICKING KINO
I laughed so hard I coughed up blood and my wife frantically came over and asked if I was ok
>6 FEAR Rattatas
GG
>what is fug’s extremespeed
>What is Rattata's tera ghost-type?
>Replace Mega Fug with Primal Evo Regigas
>Has an ability that's the opposite of Slow Start: for five turns it's Attack and Speed are doubled
>Kieran's programmed to switch it out if you last those five turns, which resets the effect
enjoy my whirlwind, b***h
Genuinely they should just go all out with level 100s. everyone’s gonna have level 100 Pokémon by the time the DLC is released.
>Turned into Vergil
>"You are not worthy as my opponent."
And yet it won't still be enough and we'll still frick him in the ass in the Indigo DLC and he'll keep crying and crying and being fricking nobody.
Arceus forbid we want to have other characters besides ourselves win if we wanted to.
> if we wanted to
that's the problem. If we want to. Because this is a videogame, any character that dreams of being the strongest is doomed to having their dream crushed by us.
Sure, we could lose on purpose, but the game would never acknowledge that
It’s not forced, but in USUM if you lose to Lusamine the plot keeps going forward.
wait, for real? That's cool. Is there unique dialogue for that outcome, or does she still say you're pretty strong?
Honestly i kinda like when that happens, Nemona is the same way i think (which fits her character she is just in it for the battle not the outcome) and Peony is arguably WORTH losing to just to get early access to Dynamax adventures early instead of waiting until you have a team on his level so you can beat him (you can always candy/impor a team, but that probably takes more time then just having him oneshot a shitmon).
In fact i think it is actually pretty common in general, the issue is more that the lines about it are kinda meh and barely acknowledge the opponent winning and still try to stroke (You)r ego.
in general, i'd like if some battles had a game over in case you lose, like against a villain or a legendary
>indigo disk dlc
>blueberry academy champion battle
>kieran appears
>he pulls out terapagos
>scripted loss against him
>all hell breaks loose
>kieran fuses with eldritch abomination teramax terapagos
>gotta kill him and put him out of his misery
>Well dont you look smug, with my Pokémon on your arm
>DLC part 2
>Kieram redeem himself a build a harem of waifumons
I believe
My pic chronologically happens AFTER yours as Mio is the baby Nia is holding so your scenario doesn't make sense. Also get a better pic already, we have rips of the image yet people keep using the low res screenshot.
imagine his theme getting more and more corrupted as dlc2 goes on
I had an alternative story idea where Hop became more bitter the more we beat him down and crushed his dreams, so at least they thought of doing this with another rival
He goes to Blueberry academy which focuses on battling. I'd be disappointed of he didnt.
homie his mons' levels are already in the 60s
Only the 20-30s if you do the DLC before Area Zero
And yet he still isn't STRONG ENOUGH.
He needs MORE TIME
Can you frick his sister? This is important.
Yes and you do which is why he is so mindbroken, because he wanted to frick you. Instead you fricked his sister and worst of it all, tried to keep it secret from him
If we didn't exist he probably wouldn't have had a reason to have even gotten anywhere cause us meeting Ogrepon and his sister telling us to keep this info from him was what started this seethe-fest and powerleveling spree to begin with.
i want this shota to abuse me like you wouldnt know
>cucking the most dangerous trainer in the pokemon universe
The player character is going to DIE
Finally some edge kino. I hope this little bastard really gets stronger and stronger through pure teenage angst
You are reading too deep into this kiddyshit game. If you want to nitpick, you "befriend" (see: walk around with it pointlessly while it does nothing but watch you) this legendary Pokemon in the span of two ingame days. It's supposed to be a legendary Pokemon but its mask falls down some stairs and breaks because stairs are more dangerous than Pokemon battles I guess. 3 other legendary beings magically decide to revive conveniently at this time for no ingame reason with no explanation.
10/10 DLC
>not knowing why the loyal 3 revived
what a lorelet
Not him but can you explain
another reason why Kieran should have been the player character rather than generic school homie
I think you're conflating game mechanics with lore too much.
But I don't hate the idea.
>What's insane to me about him is his exponentially fast growth
what are you talking about? He's still a manlet
I am going to bet that Kieran beats bdsp rematch 2 Cynthia as the strongest average level trainer in the series, which is 85.5
What no ogre pussy will do to a homie
Can someone translate this?
something like
>Nemona: Aoi (girl protag) is pretty strong and I'm strong too but I can't win
>Kieran: ...I knew it
>Nemona: But battling Aoi is exciting and fun, its the same with you right? That's it! Won't you fight with me? Just for a while! Let's become stronger together!
>Arven: It's sad when something is taken away
>Kieran: Oni-sama...
>Arven: I know how painful it feels. ...You haven't eaten anything since yesterday, right? Come on, lets eat together!
>Penny: I feel like I understand being the only one left out...
>Kieran: Only me...
>Penny: It was the same with me... And... Aoi didn't mean any harm either. I think...
Honestly Kieran needs more friends, so this is very sweet.
But they aren't helping at all despite honestly trying, their words only make him more bitter.
> Arven offering the Sandwich of Friendship to cheer him up
absolute best boy
He was MOTIVATED
An ogre lass made of grass was on the line, in my country we often say that a pair of breasts pulls more merch than a pair of oxen and that's why he really, really wanted to beat us
Honestly memes aside it would be cool if they actually do a deconstruction of the player character archetype, since they always showcase (You) being an insane prodigy able to take down anyone and anything in a battle. They seem to be experimenting with cinematic battles in this game than ever before, so I could see them doing something similar to the base games final battle, except instead of locking your balls, he simply guarantees 1HKO on each one of your Pokemon, and now matter how many times you revive them you're locked into fighting him or losing.
Terapagos could be used as a deus ex machina at some point or something to help you.
Don't worry guys, leave Kieran to me!
Why does he have no furret at the end? Does he really abandon one of his closest pokemon for his petulant lust of power.
Yes, just like wally did.
But pokemon is supposed to be about the bonds you make, not about how strong they are.
maybe if pokemon was a pet simulator but it’s called pokemon BATTLES for a reason
Wouldn’t you want your villain to represent the opposite of what the moral presents?
Just like how that immigrant in Sword/Shield abandoned his team in a bid to try to beat you
of course he did, it's like hop boxing wooloo because he was frustrated about losing over and over. but kieran went all the way instead of hop just accepting his fate. neat the writers are doing things you'd only find in fangames
a round or two in the buck breaking barn and kieran will fall in line, never found me a buck i couldn't break wild as they be.
