Nah, 1 is way too unfinished. Every non-S ending feels completely arbitrary and just ends with a text scroll. Even the Le'garde Yellow King endings are like that. His death pose if you fight him is the same as the one from the cell if you're too late.
Too easy.
Too small.
Schizophrenic game design where half the content is locked behind arbitrary locations and stages of the day with no indication.
Enemy designs are really uninspired.
One and only dev is addicted to Discord and smelling his own farts.
Despte this, he never got anyone to proofread his fricking game so there's many odd word choices and typos everywhere.
Tone is all over the fricking place. The game is a bleak depressing nightmare yet most of the cast talk and act like they're on fricking vacation and there's absolutely no sense of impending doom or dread and like nobody's taking the festival seriously.
The game's very shallow and its characters don't ever go beyond what's initially presented, there's no interesting moral conflicts between them which completely defeats the point of a large cast and they just serve as shipping bait for the moronic tumblr secondaries that latched onto the game after e-celebs picked up on it.
The only way to fix it and have any hopes of surpassing 1 is to completely rework and rewrite many of its characters into giving a single frick about the festival.
I think the reason no one seems to be that phased by what's going on is that they are used to it already. Most if not all of their backstories have some tragic and horrifying events.
That just makes the festival even more limp. What's the point of cosmic ancient god horror when manmade horrors already scarred the cast enough to not give a frick about it? The only contestants whose backstories feel like could justify being so unfazed to what is going are Levi and O'Saa's.
Yeah, worst thing is the lack of interaction between characters despite the battle royale setting. Only one or two characters do something in scripted events under very certain conditions. It also goes the other way and your party doesn't have any reaction even if you start murdering other contestants, as long as you don't do it in the places that have scripted triggers for it.

I think the first game's endings were structured much better gameplay wise. The worse endings are easier to get while the important ones are hidden, which incentivizes replays so you can find out more about the story and get proper closure. Termina is the opposite, since A ending is easier to find on blind playthroughs due to the game literally giving you map markers for it. B ending meanwhile requires fishing for contestants without any guide and potentially pits you against several difficult boss fights if they've already been microwaved. C ending on the other hand is pretty much identical to B runs gameplay wise, and both feel pretty iffy to play due to the game's issues with other contestants not reacting properly to the battle royale.
Termina is also much buggier, with the game slowing down to a crawl for reasons unknown if you're being chased by more than one monster, many chasing monsters see you through walls but try to pathfind to you through it so they just end up standing still, and the game still retains the first game's bug where certain enemies simply ignore overworld shots and traps.
>Schizophrenic game design where half the content is locked behind arbitrary locations and stages of the day with no indication.
SO LIKE THE FIRST GAME HUH
>Too easy.
The first game is also piss easy on the standard difficulty. Terror and Starvation mode is coming to Termina in the next update. >Too small.
Literally several times as long as the first game.
The map is too small and bereft of interesting locations. Half the areas in the game are boring woods and sewers when the city should've been the main focus.

Most of the common enemies you'll face are carbon copies of already existing works. He needs to stop copying and do more cool interesting shit from his own fears like the Irrational Obelisk.
objectively the designs of the enemies in termina are shit compared to 1. the best enemy designs like ronteal arent even his they were fan creations he added
It's fricking unfinished and worse than the first one.
That being said I love it more than AAA slop because it's still more thoughtful, artful, and still more developed than modern AAA slop.
kaiser and le'garde might as well be different characters since it's heavily implied that d'arce's s ending is canon so it's not really le'garde but a blood golem clone of him
I was under the impression that the whole point of the game was to run into different party members in different places at different times of the day to have different routes and events and shit
when it's the opposite, most people can only be recruited at one specific time and barely show up anywhere else
>august ruins my ending C run, because you can only talk to him outside of day 3 at day 2 morning/daytime >if you do not kill him at this exact point he fricks off until day 3 and you cant get the ending
>dev is moronic >loses months of progress on update >been a year + some change as to the last update >still not coming out because he keeps adding useless shit to it like flashbacks for characters >still probably wont even include a new playable character like caligura
kill finns
Both games are the same.
Very cool aesthetic and some neat systems ideas for an RPG game, but everything else is really bad. Both games entirely boil down to RNG.
>frick up by going into Mansion before Bunker >Moonscorched Abella fricking blows my head up the first time >Second Attempt with 3 necro spawns >wreck her shit
I still regret it.
theres no reason to go to mansion before bunker, unironically. if henryk was recruitable or playable it would be worth it but as it stands theres no point, especially considering the gentleman is the easier fight
Well shit. Only went there because I wanted to grab a Fear and Hunger book to make a safe sigil since I am still a noob. Will absolutely go to the bunker next time. Those dogs gave me anxiety from the previous game, too.
the dogs dont have a coinflip so they cant instakill you, but if you go to the bunker first you'll get abella as a party member but a miniboss replaces her encounter inside the bunker
>Oh wow this cool indie game has neat lore and a unique cast, I wonder what the fanbase must be like. >Every post is related to the crossdresser and his stalker girlfriend he actively avoids. Nothing lore related gets discussed.
you know they wouldnt be talking about his stalker girlfriend if she wasnt a troony. also marina and levi being a thing is in no way canon or hinted at its solely a fan made ship
it belongs to reddit now
It has a time limit which automatically makes it shit.
What about the trans in the OP artwork?
Very cute. Would tickle his prostate
not really trans, they're just a cross dresser
....I think, I don't recall any gender changing/hormone changing magic/medicine in game
it doesn't have a time limit, it has a save limit which can be bypassed.
It's technically not a time limit, but a rest limit. As long as you don't touch a bed you can stay on day 1 morning forever
I'm not replaying the stupid conversation every time I die. Shit.
You can skip it by saying you have to get going.
You can skip it if you select the "Sorry I'm in a hurry" option.
1 is better.

The atmosphere is one billion times better than 2
It's worse than 1

Objectively wrong

Kino setting. Horror jarpig set in WW1 era is way more interesting than medieval dungeons #9999
Both games were terrible.
It's fricking unfinished and worse than the first one.

kaiser characterization ruined legarde's character
kaiser and le'garde might as well be different characters since it's heavily implied that d'arce's s ending is canon so it's not really le'garde but a blood golem clone of him
>Kaiser is obsessed with elevating humanity to match the Old Gods just as he was elevated from a simple Blood Golem to a New God
Pretty kino.
feels painfully unfinished
neat game otherwise

This game is alright, just ignore the fanbase.
>mentally ill moron comes in to fill us in on his headcanon
there's not a single post about Marina until yours you dumb moron
no he's right, every rime you see something termina related outside of this site it's always related to marina and samarie
you know they wouldnt be talking about his stalker girlfriend if she wasnt a troony. also marina and levi being a thing is in no way canon or hinted at its solely a fan made ship
Sex with Marina while Samarie watching.
WHERE IS UPDATE MIRROOOOOOOO
