>Why does a WW1 game go from 1914-1918?
Some mysteries are best left unanswered
Nevermind, my bad.
For some reason sometimes I think WWI goes all the way to 1919. Probably because of the Treaty or Versailles and the Paris Peace Conference.
Tbqh tbh this looks like a standard "Ideaman's game"
Constructed around one scenario in devs head, which results in "play it once and uninstall" gameplay like Frostpunk.
You put words in my mouth. I don't want that stuff. I want strategy games that can be replayed. The most popular strategy games are ones that can be replayed over and over again.. Usually games that aren't replayability are babbas first strategy game.
>Wolferos' Fields of History >devs made mod for HOI4 that people liked >devs became too wienery, abandoned the mod and decided to make their own game
It will never come out.
>40 bucks
Fricking where? I got it for equivalent of 8.50$ on steam through third party resellers.
Game is average. Quickly gets tedious as all battles look the same. They introduced a few new maps and units that spice things up a little. Mods also help.
Campaign map is shallow and boils down to: amass ton of units in one place, attack, take the region, repeat.
AI is moronic and never attacks vulnerable or important areas and even ignores completly undefended areas.
Most of the upgrades are downright useless, tanks are op as frick, planes are not worth it and difficulty is balanced by "enemy takes x% less and deals x% more dmg"
>5% innovation multiplier for acting moronic and also picking a meme answer
Shit like this genuinely makes me miss EU2's obtusivness and bare-bones simplicity
Battle of Empires : 1914-1918

It's not really that good, but it's all we have.
Why does it go all the way to 1918 but not to 1919?

Amerimutt education everybody
Well if you count the Allied Intervention into Russia to stop the Soviets. That was from 1918 to 1920, then he isn't wrong.

On the Western Front

It looks like what it is, a one-man show, but he's been at it for 4 years now and still going strong.
Is this actually fun to play at all?
If you have the level of autism needed to manage a division through squad-level playing pieces, then yes.
Victoria 2
Microing is shit. Vicky 3s warfare is superior
Since youre here, can you tell me how often you bait people on here? Do you ever bait your bait to get it rolling? Im just curious
Darkest Hour

That one that just came out recently was very fun. Short game, but it was cool for what it is. Build trenches and shit.

4 weeks til release, so maybe we'll have another good WW1 game

>"play it once and uninstall"
is there anything wrong with that?
paracuck 'tists love coloring their maps
Yes
These tards need a battle pass, dailies, etc. Grind must never end, or else it's not a modern game...

get a life
Yes. I'm not financing someone's first unity game that is small and has no replayability.
it looks kino
?si=bPe7DLuboAZ5JRh2
But is it replayable tho?
why does it sound like playing games serves as a form of escapism in your life?
tbdesu, if you're on this hellsite of hopeless no-life degenerates, it already is.
This one for games that are actually out purely about WW1. And Wolferos' Fields of History: The Great War for a hopeful challenger.

To End All Wars exists. Sadly, it might be the best we have. It’s an AGEOD game. It is okay, definitely one of the better AGEOD games.
That's not what they meant by mustard gas Hans.
You're saying I shouldn't bleach my food, Fritz?
On the Western Front is the most complex WW1 game ever created.
