Ignore these morons. The reason why Xbox controllers work for every game is because it uses the xinput standard, but it's not exclusive to xbox controllers. Any controller that supports xinput will do, and there are a lot of controllers that do, gamesir, 8bitdo, gulikit, flydigi, razer, scuff. Even controllers that only have dinput can be used, so long as you use an xinput mapper application.
Of course, the best controller is obviously DualSense, so there isn't any point to getting anything else except it. It's just as supported as xinput controllers and has exclusive features that ONLY IT can enjoy. It is the definitive controller.
Switch Pro Controller has a fricked up mushy imprecise Dpad and you're paying a premium for motion controls, amiibo reader etc
Sony Controller has all sorts of moronic gimmicks that you pay a premium for and that make it so the controller has a 90 minute battery life
Xbox is the one that just does what a controller should do, has decent build quality, decent price point
Third party chink controllers are never worth it from my experience, quality control is ass and more often than not they became defective or just stopped walking altogether after a short amount of time
I am rotating between the following:
- DS4
- Dualsense
- Xbox (the one with the round D pad)
- Xbox Elite Series 2
- Switch Pro
- 8bitdo Pro 2
- Gulikit KingKong 2 Pro
The only one I don't quite like is funny enough the Dualsense, I just don't like the shape of it.
I had previously complained about the texture on the KingKong 2 Pro handles. I have since gone full autismo and wrapped the handles in scotch tape. It looks terrible but I like holding it a lot more now.
Other than that, I can't pick a favorite. They all have pros and cons. Even Xbox vs Xbox Elite, I prefer the dpad on the new Xbox controllers and the face buttons feel like they have less resistance. So I just switch between them based on my mood. I can even use all of them on PS5 through Chiaki remote play.
>younger sibling of F710 used in heavy underwater machinery >wired, so no need to charge >R1,L1 will start developing problems after 6 months >R3, L3 will stop working after 8 months.
Playstation controller allows for claw grip, Xbox does not, whoever xbox controller is incredibly comfortable for big hands while the PS controller is made for babies.
used everything from playstation to xbox to those shitty chinese phone controllers. never once experienced stick drift.
have completely worn down joysticks until their flaccid. never had stick drift
Is there anything asymmetrical good shaped like a Switch Pro or Xbox 360 controller with sticks, analog triggers and a good d-pad these days?
Xbox Series controller gives me cramp.
Hyperkin 360 clone isn't available in Bong.
Really just preference between xbone and DS4. I prefer the segmented (even though it's not really) dpad of the DS4 for fighting games but xbone is more comfortable for everything else. The perfect one for me doesn't really exist as far as I know.
The idea that gamepads are a console exclusive idea or that analog controls are bad is only said by casuals and poors who can't afford peripherals.
any xbox controller will do
-100% support by anything
-decent quality
-batteries that only need to be changed once a month
>>-batteries that only need to be changed once a month
Kek. You almost got me.
Get a controller with hall sensors for analog sticks.
>batteries that only need to be changed once a month
Just plug it in and you never have to recharge anything.
Fpbp
Anything with Xinput wins so don't think about Playstation controllers because the Xinput software sucks
Xbox controller but they are known to break easily so remember to take deep breaths
They all work fine, it's just preference. I use a ps4 controller
switch pro or PS5 if you want name brand
using an xbox controller caused hand fatigue and the R3/L3 buttons are too stiff for comfort
I've been using a DS4 for almost 10 years now and I haven't been able to find anything else that measures up, despite it showing its age.
How often do you realistically need R3/L3?
If the dpad wasn't terrible, I'd agree.
main brand controllers are a meme
they're all the same parts
just get something with the right layout for you
otherwise you're wasting money
Whateverthefrick the steel battalion controller is.
I like DS4 or DSense cuz i can use the pad as a mouse. i use it for menus and small shit though. not like you could play an actual game with the pad
Xbox because it actually works with every game that has controller support
playstation controllers are for cucks only
Lmao
Xbox controller just works, feels good to play with, pretty inexpensive, no drivers or additional setup required.
The compatibility is so hood, but I hate that the joysticks on the xbox controller are offset from each other, feels weird.

Steam Deck. Valve should sell the shell empty with the controller board and a battery as a standalone, it's so fricking good.

Is there any controller with 6 face buttons and swappable left stick and d-pad?

I have the Gulikit Zen Pro but have been thinking of getting a KingKong 2. I like the way the white one looks.
Huh, It's the same controller.
Yes but the all white KingKong version looks really slick. And I have a mini controller addiction.
I avoided white version because of cheetos hands.
Surely you guys wash your hands and don’t eat while gaming, right?
My hands just sweat all the time, white plastic will discolor sooner.
I need to wash my mouse pad every second week.
xbox elite 2
FlyDigi Apex 2 is the best controller for 3rd person shooter/action/adventure games.
>logitech F310
>younger sibling of F710 used in heavy underwater machinery
>wired, so no need to charge
>R1,L1 will start developing problems after 6 months
>R3, L3 will stop working after 8 months.
Pretry good for $15.
Xbox. Series X specifically.
is the d-pad good?
Aside from being noisy, it's fine
anyone here paid for mouseclick trigger mods? good/bad?
There isn't
You gotta use more than one controller
Xbox controller would've been literally perfect if it had gyro
Isn't that the latest 8chiinkdo controller?
Playstation controller allows for claw grip, Xbox does not, whoever xbox controller is incredibly comfortable for big hands while the PS controller is made for babies.
wiiu pro controller, 80hrs of battery
>b-but I can't into blutooth
skill issue
or unlimited life with a fricking cable
>doesn't have a tv set up
skill issue
Any xbox controller, no need to mess with drivers or 3rd party tools and both thumbs sit at the same angle.
DualShock 4 is the best pad I've ever used
t. 25 years of PC gayman
Only controller I've had develop stick drift. Real shame, because it's alright otherwise.
used everything from playstation to xbox to those shitty chinese phone controllers. never once experienced stick drift.
have completely worn down joysticks until their flaccid. never had stick drift
The 8bitdo Pro 2 is pretty decent. But I haven't used any other gamepad before, so I can't compare it to anything.
dualsense is hands down the best controller right now
>Directinput
nah
dual sense edge
Nope

Hyperkin 360 clone isn't available in Bong.
unfortunately you're not gonna easily find a controller with both an asymmetrical stick layout and a good dpad
Not sure about the triggers, but the 8BitDo Ultimate may be what you're looking for.
Keyboard and mouse. Frick gamepad enablers, they are the cancer of the industry.
1) Gamepads are the main reason why consoles are bad.
2) It's not about being analog, it's about crippling downsides of any gamepad.
1. you're moronic
2. you're moronic
Yikes post
>Obscenely long battery life
>only controller to get stick placements right
>incredibly durable
>designed for big hands
Anything that won't drift in less than a year
It's cleverly hidden in your picture.
Anon asked for best tho
