You might be a moron, but if you're after a legendary or something that won't stay in a fricking ball it is often easier to just paralyze it once than to repeatedly have put it back to sleep.
>Swords Dance >False Swipe >Spore
Now what do you put in the last slot? A recovery move or defense boost for tanking legendaries? Thief for farming items and knocking out shitters while you go about your catching business? Mean Look to keep teleporters from getting away?
Substitute is a good pick for longer fights. Also, I'm sure there's something that has scrappy/odor sleuth and can false swipe ghosts, just as a tiny niche that gallade and breloom can't cover.
NTA but do sleep and para both give the same boost to catch rate? I always thought sleep was "stronger".

the volatile conditions (sleep and freeze) give bigger boosts because they can disappear and have to be reapplied. the ones that last indefinitely give less.

Sleep and Freeze are stronger but temporary, every other status effect isn't as strong but last indefinitely and are still better than nothing
I get only mushroom shitters get spore but what were they thinking giving it to breloom

It's a mushroom.

yeah but when it evos it becomes a fricking beast that was "ou" or in vgc for generations even without using spore.

first of all, it has a mushroom on its head. second of all, breloom doesn't learn spore by itself. It only gets it if it has it when it evolves.

kinda?
breloom doesn't learn it on it's own but shroomish does if you care enough to delay it's evolution to level 40ish, and even then it's neither the fastest nor bulkiest thing in the world so you still have to be careful
the professor in legends arceus literally says this. I also believe one of the mangas establishes this a long time ago, and the first pokemon to do it was primeape
it can learn soak to allow you to hit ghost types and have an easier time against steel and rock, the low stats doesn't matter all that much when you are dealing with mostly weak wild pokemon.
>Swords Dance >False Swipe >Spore

>False Swipe >Mean Look/Sticky Web >Spore/Thunderwave >Odor Sleuth
Those 4 moves should cover all your catching necessities. You can replace some of those depending on the situation. A Pokémon with Sand Trap probably doesn't need Sticky Web/Mean Look. With Scrappy, you don't need Odor Sleuth
breloom or gallade imo. both have sleep moves for even easier capturing
I favour Absol or Bisharp, thunder wave is enough for me and doesn't miss like spore.
Spore has 100 acc, it doesn't miss
No... all these years... I've been a moron for all these years...

Are you sure you're not thinking of sleep powder? Because only very few select mons learn spore specifically because 100 acc sleep is so broken.

H-Decidueye can hit ghost-types.
Breloom
>high ATK
>can use Spore
Zangoose
Why can't you capture the pail of waters when they're knocked out?
they're still on the ground and possibly dying anyway
The old canon was that "faint" was just a nice way to say "kill"
The nucanon is that the Pokemon shrink and become to small to capture
>Pokemon shrink and become to small to capture
That's unbelievably moronic
the professor in legends arceus literally says this. I also believe one of the mangas establishes this a long time ago, and the first pokemon to do it was primeape
it's also canon that macargo is hotter than the sun
>the pail of waters
What country is this a saying in?
Gankerstan
it would be mean
I don't want to fetch a pail of water. I'd rather be fetching pokemon creatures.
Smreagle
Weak stats

that or sticky web
drain punch
gen 3 false swipe has the coolest animation out of all the slashing moves (barring leaf blade i guess) and i'm kinda mad about it
escape-preventing moves, if possible
thief is usually a TM or a common move amongst darkies, so odds are there's a better user for it on your team
or soak for grass types
>Swords Dance
>False Swipe
together? why?

something that causes poison or toxic to also just take care of rando trainers and not needing to switch pokemon
just use a fricking master ball
yer mom is a good user of false nut
The trainer should capture that rattata and use her as an onahole.
farfetch'd with a leek
Any good pokemon fangame recommendations?
Realidea System
This looks awesome
The translation is kind of shoddy in places and it really runs the kanto joke into the ground, but it's otherwise a fun time
