Shogun 1 or 2, depending on your stance to building slots
that's early modern
Japs consider shogunate to be medieval in their own periodisation, so it's medieval
Calm down professor weaboo
If Medieval 2 ending with Pike & Shot and early colonialism is still considered medieval then Shogun 2 is no different, if not even better at it.
You can always play Rise of the Samurai which takes out gunpowder.
Rise of the Samurai
Medieval 1
tsardoms
Tsardoms is a decent mod with freecam
Thanks, been playing it and it's really great. But I miss the rest of the continent and America sometimes

> think about total war
>Google Earth
>being able use real world sites as potential battlegrounds
>learning geography and alternate history while building an empire
Soon, I can taste the dopamine
I suggest Tsardoms
>there are people who don't just play vanilla teutonic order on repeat
yikes!
Surprised nobody has mentioned Stainless Steel? I haven't played it yet but would like to, is it still considered a great way to play Med 2 without too many changes to the vanilla experience?
It's shit.
Really? I used to hear about it all the time back in the day, it was THE mod. Did it get worse with updates, or just superseded by others?
Americas campaign IMO. It's always been my favorite, bringing civilization to a savage land.
