>PS1 >It's the director's cut version
The director said it's dreamcast
I have only played PC and it's hard for me to imagine Dreamcast is better except for minor stuff
PC is somewhere between N64 and Dreamcast, actually. It has CD-quality sound, original textures and high resolution support, but is very, very similar to the N64 version otherwise. Dreamcast version made many additions and alterations of its own. It changed the scenery in some parts of the game to make it prettier and more lively, added additional robo-pirates you have to fight, added Globox village with mini-games as well as well as some content that was only accessible through the VMU.
Lmao
mods on this board are really uptight about topicality, but that whole thing is so worth talking about in detail. First, imagine growing up with that game and then that guy says that. Second, do the guards know that it's an inferior version and want to inflict mental torture? (of course not, but it's funny to think they do). And third, using video games to keep prisoner anger and violence under control doesn't seem like a bad idea in theory, in practice maybe not so much
Rayman Revolution isn't even a bad game. Sure, it's worse than PC, Dreamcast and arguably the N64 versions, but you could still give someone a much worse game to play if you wanted to "inflict mental torture".
PHIX on the PS1. Or Rascal. There is actually one unbelievably awful one i played on a multipack of PC games I got at walmart, but I cant remember the name, think you played as a gator (its not Croc) and it may have just been the machine i played it on or the game itself, but the camera kept spazzing out even when standing still and the game ran at like 5 fps for a 3D platformer. Also not sure if it is within the retro parameters for this board or not.
The only thing I had for 2 months was Chomping Chaz.
Look it up. Its a less interesting version of Mario Run, and even that description makes it sound so much better than it is.
Same. I actually enjoyed it even more in retrospective going back to it recently and appreciating what it does as a 64 game. It really was like the closet thing you could get to Crash Bandicoot on it.
Had Breivik taste because he knew the PS2 version was ass and that the Dreamcast version was clearly the superior choice
or was he a shitter all along and dislikes Rayman 2 as a whole?
PS2 version
first post worst post
Dreamcast failed
but it still has the best Rayman 2
PS2 version is better
Shit image quality, framerate
It's superior in all ways.
Dreamcast
You're an apologist
And you're just lying out of your ass, it's more appropriate to call the PS1 version the cut content version with just how far stripped down it is
dreamcast
Dreamcast easy, higher resolution, better framerate
ps2 feels choppy as frick and the hub and voice acting both feel super out of place.
Protip: French dubbing is much better.
PS1
It's the director's cut version, lacking all the unnecessary fluff that bloats the other ports.

I only played PC, but loved it. I assume PC and Dreamcast are the most similar two

Maybe I should go to Norway and commit some serious crime. Free food, shelter and a 6th gen console to play on. I'd be set for the rest of my life.

Unfortunately thanks to a court ruling in Brevik's favor there's no more /vr/, only modern slop.
Now that I think about it, what's the WORST mascot platformer you could force someone to play? Bubsy 3D?

I like the N64 version even if it's not the best

>game for 3 year olds.
He wasn't b***hing that gta3 lacked a pause map.
There was no version of Rayman that was gonna make him happy.
Is the 3DS port good? It's based on DC and I want to try either that one or PS2
i think it has framerate issues iirc
