Left LOOKS like it does what it does on the tin, but I hate it. Right looks cooler to me, but it's style over substance. If used in a videogame I'd want left in a "realistic" one and right in a cartoony one ala Viewtiful Joe.
Ultimately, it depends on the type of game you're making.
The right is also a live action TV show played by a real human under that suit who will need to be speaking, moving, or even performing stunts for hours at a time. Factors that go into the design include RL durability of the suit as well as the comfort of the actor wearing them to prevent fatigue and injury from being physically active for long periods of time.
The left is a video game that isn't restricted to any actual RL physical limitations or safety concerns.
I have not played Crysis or watched Kamen but I am sure they also work differently. The Japanese suit is an actual suit that gets taken on and off no problem. But IIRC the Crysis suit is some experimental alien technology and it permanently fuses with the wearer's body. So they ARE the suit now.
>Right's a fricking superhero
I am fricking aware of this, that in my opinion is not really what OP was on about. OP is mostly about aesthetics and maybe functionality. OP was talking about "advanced combat armor," Not the person in it or their "occupation" IE superhero.
He's not supposed to be an armored juggernaut. He's supposed to be a fast, strong, stealthy operative who can take a few bullets (and a few more in armor mode), but prefers tactical engagements.
It's only sprint in Cry2 and 3. In the original, it's blazing fast to the point where AI has to spend a couple of seconds dumbfounded before they can shoot you again. You can also knock them down by running into them, but in Warhead for some reason it kills you.
99% of the time I'm always going with the cooler one, I really don't care about realism or if the suit makes sense or not, it could be explained by magic for all that I care, the only exception is with mecha but that's only because I think the more raw mechanical designs are coolers than the overly sleek ones
The Crysis nanosuit is cool as shit and the games actually make you feel like you're a super soldier and not just some schmuck in combat armor.
There needs to be more games like that.
both are cool
love the exo-muscular look of left, by far one of the more unique armor designs
right is cool too, hammy outfits will never go out of style so long as you don't pretend they're supposed to serve a higher purpose than to look cool
comparing both to the same standard is moronic
I'm an Alex Ross fan. I think his designs are neat.
It's just a shame that he's not too good at motion. Still scenes are great, covers are almost always top-tier, but combat and movement always looks janky.
>click into video at about 6:00 >whatshername spinning around in a ridiculous overacted manner with cg garbage flying off of her
lmao you people watch this shit?
Really suffered from the era it came out in. A four hour cover shooter with lots of cinematics and walking dialogue sequences. It'd be nice if someone else used the boosting elsewhere though.
It's not really a cover shooter, the game penalizes you for using cover. I mostly dislike how simplistic it is and how little it offers compared to other Plat games. There's no cool unlockables, no costumes, only one playable character, no ranking system, not much you can do other than kick off walls and shoot grenades and melee eating up all your boost and overheating you makes it more akin to a shmup bomb than actual melee so you won't be doing that often either. Overall it just feels like a small indie title rather than a full Platinum experience.

There's only really four cover shooters that penalized you for using it for its intended use, and out of four of them only two allowed you to use cover as a mobility tool. I wish more games had that. Just use cover to spring yourself towards the nearest enemy
Americans make big, bulky, heavy, inefficient and unreliable cars. Japan on the other hand make smaller, lighter, more efficient and reliable cars. Americans did everything worse because being extravagant and the center of attention was part of the culture but now that America turned into muttland the mediocrity is simply due to the much lower IQ.

Just saying hut are a good amount of riders in the last 2 decades not bug based? I feel like there are less bug motif riders now due to the oversaturation of everyone and their mother being a rider.
that's true for reiwa, Zero-One was a grasshopper, then Saber was a dragon, Revice was a T-rex, Geats was a fox and it went back to bug with Gotchard being a grasshopper/locomotive combo.
Every kamen rider is bug based at least in vauge terms. Because the Showa riders were all expressly bug themed, the Standard Rider Design TM has some Bug-themed elements even if the rider isn't directly based on a kind of bug.

if alyx from halflife 2 was fine that one is fine too.
I don't play overwatch, but Zarya would be fine if her neck wasn't so fricking huge.
She always reminded me of the unreal 2k4 faction. But while prettier, even the roided weirdos in unreal had relatively human looking necks.
Whenever I see any form of armor my autism immediately goes to "How do you get in and out of that?", "How easy is it to take a leak in that thing?", etc., etc. I remember once hearing that during WWI and II pilots used to just piss and shit in the planes and the poor engineers had to clean that shit up. Did some poor bastard have to hose down prophet's suit every time he took it off?
It's alien nanotech that, in case of Crysis 2, slowly transforms mortally wounded Alcatraz into Prophet. Like, it reworks him from inside out with nanobots using its previous user as a template until he's more Prophet than Alcatraz.
I was reading about high altitude recon jet pilots, who spend hours flying about monitoring stuff. Their trick was diapers and a mostly liquid diet before/during flight. Don't need to poop if you don't add to the stack.
>the west >japan
Why did you compare a country to the whole western hemisphere?
Aren't you ashamed for that?
Anyway, shadow moon is better than any shits posted on this thread.
Because they're the only ones who have made anything of note. There is no chink, asiatic, ruskie, etc power armor because for whatever reason their entire continent decided to be collectively worthless in all creative endeavors after Journey to the West, the last and final Eastern piece of art.
Right looks like cheap plastic cosplay over morph suit while left looks boring and generic.
Depends on tone of your work/story i guess, but I'd prefer some sort of middle ground between these two.
It looks kinda silly, but it does make a sort of sense that if a suit dramatically increases your strength, you'd want to use a weapon that benefits from it. An M16 isn't going to fire its bullets any harder with a muscle suit on. I think it'd be cooler if he dropped the bow and just threw lengths of rebar at people like javelins, though.
It doesn't make sense because the arrows would have to be thick and heavy as frick.

How many of those western mechs are actual western designs and not licensed random japanese toys?
The jap designs are based on western designs anyway
Are they? Armored Core has designs like in right and its the only mech anything I like at all and its japan.
The rest are just giant overly smooth moving humans piloted by inexplicable 12 year olds with super powers who spend 30 mins whining about how scary everything is while their mech is essentially immune to 99% of the field and can kill thousands in 1 action >I'm sure to win because my technology is superior
>Zakus are
There was no conditional on that statement, so one of the easy ways to prove you wrong would be to post one of the many many many terrible zaku II variants from obscure supplementary shit nobody but densha ota have ever heard of
I know there's some official numbers floating somewhere if you want to go full autism on power level but for all intents and purposes every speed power up puts everyone on the same speed
Decade was cheating, but IIRC it's happened a couple of times in the crossovers (which are always fricky with the power levels since newer riders tend to be stronger than older riders)
Hyper Clock Up is still faster, though. Bullshit ftl/time travel is bullshit.
If you wanna get into actual numbers Accel is only the speed of sound while Clock Up is the speed of light, but of course crossovers don't really take that shit into account.
>Though kabuto cant fricking make up its mind if it wants to be super speed or time slowdown either.
It's effectively the same thing. The suits speed them up to move at near-lightspeed and the slow-mo bits are just to look cool and show things from their perspective
Yeah, I agree his rider kick is hella cool. Though my favorite is Drive's
I hear the objectively most based extra ranger also played a KR villain. For those who have seen both, is he as good in KR as he was in Shinkenger? Is it worth a watch just for his high quality ham?

The special effects are garbage even for japanese standards, but I like this kick more than most because he actually tries to trap his enemies while he does his gay dance ritual, rather than shit like >My belt says I'm going to rider kick you >I'm glowing, because I'm going to rider kick you
Then the enemy runs directly into the kick when literally any other option would be better

well, the usual standard would be the rider jumping towards the enemy to kick them, not the other way around like Kabuto.
I'm sick of Japan being allowed to have fun costume designs and ridiculous looking monsters meanwhile the west gets dark "moviefied" shit.

wait 10 years and it will become the best shit ever again.
Both of them in a co-op game.
Have some aloof and methodic American supersoldier team up with a loud and slightly naive Japanese hero of justice, hilarity and explosions ensue.
My name is Tsukasa, and I hate every single one of you. All of you are weak, moronic, no-lifes who spend every second of their day fighting amongst yourselves. You are everything bad in every world. Honestly, have any of you ever gotten any decent final forms? I mean, I guess it's fun trying to save people because of your own insecurities, but you all take to a whole new level. This is even worse than my photography.
Don't be a stranger. Just hit me with your best shot. I'm pretty much perfect. I have a superior henshin, and a superior kick. What abilities do you have, other than "take 50 weeks to deal with a threat that other guy could finish in 2"? I also get all your abilities, and have a banging hot bike (I just blew through a dimensional wall on it; Shit was SO D-D-D-DECADE). You are all homosexuals who should just have a nice day. Thanks for listening.
Meh, i don't like the chest piece, but the shoulder armor is cool and the extra metallic bits on the legs make the bottom half look less boring.
I'll wait for SIC redesign

How do you respond without sounding mad?
west: weak, needs artificial muscles and metal diaper
japan: based, doesn't need any power assist, has big pauldrons, big visor to stare at enemy in the eyes better, red color accents to signify virility
I only remember two things about Ryukendo:
The episode where they play trivia to see who gets the magical key power up.
And the episode where one of the villains is mourning the death of his friend and the heroes are perplexed that he feels sad.
Its been 12 years or something, frick.
They were recognized as bad movies that amounted to little more than Inoue fricking around for the sake of it. Anno at least is a superfan and wanted to make a something that worships the original show / manga and other toku from the time.
What tactical advantage does the fluttering scarf bring? Is it some kind of color-based optical camo supposed to work with the bright green to OCM enemy targeting?
/m/ is generally moronic and shits on everything. I haven't gone there in years and it definitely helps my enjoyment.
Gotchard starts off fricking terrible, but gets better. Sorta like Saber. I'm a little behind admittedly, not sure if it shit the bed over the last two weeks.
is Gotchard worth it? I dropped it in like, episode 5 or 6, the acting was awful, even by toku standards. I also didn't like the "Decade but not really Decade" guy they introduced.
I think it gets a lot better once the villainous rider shows up. I dropped it at 9 and I got super pissed that within an episode or two of picking it back up, it got enjoyable.
Any episodes not focused on the main duo are at the very least pretty good >I also didn't like the "Decade but not really Decade" guy they introduced.
He's just exclusive to some web specials until now
I've not watched it but I did enjoy Fire Gotchard's over the top rider kick.
I love Kuuga’s OP for the “NO FEAR NO PAIN” line alone, it just unlocks something primal in me. It’s so inspiring.

As someone who just finished Agito, it's AROUND the ballpark for a bit then falls off more and more when nearing the end and all of the overarching mysteries are demystified.
well, but is still good and doesn't fall as hard as 01 or Ghost. damn Ghost was bad and 01 left a really bad aftertaste.
As someone who just finished Agito, it's AROUND the ballpark for a bit then falls off more and more when nearing the end and all of the overarching mysteries are demystified.
I've watched several iterations of Kamen Rider, and I've never liked it. I should, I fit all the criteria, I love similar stuff, but I just can't get into Kamen Rider specifically. I even enjoy the spoof shit significantly more than the actual series.
I CTRL'D + F "Watch" and this is closest.
What's the best series to start with? I tried watch Zill-0 or something one time because I was told its the best but the villain was kinda gay and it felt like it really wanted me to be watching this after a dozen others, with what I think were throw backs I wasn't getting
If they have jap vocals/eng subs that would be nice trying to watch more stuff in jp
Thanks brofamalan
If Zio is "bad" then the rest should be alright
It didn't seem offensively bad when I tried to watch it, just very, I dunno, full of itself. It insisted on itself.
I was already getting tired of modern kamen rider around the time zio aired and it was basically just a clapbait show so you had to have prior knowledge of the previous series it references to "enjoy" it. It's still shit even than both anniversary series are ass honestly.
Zi-O's a bad first show because it's an anniversary season that relies a lot on callbacks to previous seasons and outright spoils some.
Most people recommend W/OOO/Fourze to newcomers because they're all solid but if those don't look appealing, just pick a suit that looks cool and watch it.
Thanks brosephiroth
Apparently W is "double" and that's the best design so imma try that

context: Dan Kuroto (insert titles here) pretended to be Blade to trick Ex-Aid and the dead Riders he put in his timelooped game world.
Blade sensed that Undead frickery was happening, tracked it down and went into the game world. When he got there, there was suddenly two Undead, meaning that the eldritch laws that control them became a part of the game world. When Dan Kuroto stopped pretending to be Blade, there was only one Undead left, a Joker Undead, so the world started to destroy itself.
I haven't seen any of them, just these webms, which have extremely bad special effects

It boils down to the fact that parents (mainly mums) are more willing to let their sons watch KR (and watch it with them) if the cast is full of eye candy.
It is never not funny to tell people new to KR about how the lady on the train in Den-O was voted to have the best ass in Japan before she went onto the show.
Arguably Armored Core, but AC doesn't care much about its world its mostly an excuse for you to go on missions with your.
FM, being an RPG, actualky makes full use of it.
AC's mercenary work driven worldbuilding is inconsistent in the sense that a hyper advanced civilisation and a profession where you functionally kill the people supporting the high civilisation for money as a free agent coexist. Any realistic scenario would either see the civilisation wipe out the independent threat or if the mercenaries somehow have the capability to overpower the power of existing polities, supplant them. Disregarding the "arena" element completely here, of course.
Some of the games handle it more believably with the "mercenaries" being namely an unofficial paramilitary wing of the powers that be that would immediately McNuke any kind of similar independent outfit.
Well the first game had the main character's gf's brain attached to that computer and then becomes a deranged terrorist you kill unceremoniously in FM2 if I recall

American ninja is more of a super spy or Bond figure - fancy special techniques (gadgets), specializes in assassinations and subtlety, skilled in hand to hand combat, and often associated with a secret organization.

Shin 'zilla was more of a movie about bureaucratic nightmares and mismanagement with a kaiju rampage as a backdrop/plot framing. The whole movie is basically a thinly veiled diatribe against the handling of Fukushima by the Japanese government.
Haven't seen Minus One yet so I can't comment on it.
Thats a western power SUIT. implying its not armored with any kind of alloy (in Crysis all the defense comes from nanomachines in the suit fibers)
Combat Armour would be something you see Spartans from Halo wearing, or what you see in Star Wars. an Armour plating over a suit
Then you can go more higher in defense and have a POWER ARMOUR like in fallout and 40k space marines use. its typically heavy internally powered suit of armour that helps the user move its parts by powered exoskeleton inside it that does the real lifting of the suits parts.
Mjolnir is power armor, moron. It amplifies the already tweaked-out strength and reflexes of a Spartan, provides energy shielding, can carry an onboard AI, and is all powered by a mini reactor. What you're describing would be more akin to marine or ODST armor
how does it work as a power Armour if the pieces are not connected? its a Combat Armour with some life support, combat UI and lights in the helmet and chest piece. that's not true power Armour. there is no exoskeleton that drives the Armour (and Spartans would be strong enough to just wear it without mechanical assistance)
The plating is used for housing internals, shield contouring and additional protection. The exoskeleton is built into the under suit, being more obvious on the older versions
Not really. The shit weighs literal tons and only Spartans can actually wear it without fear of breaking every bone in their body due to the strength amplification
1 week ago
Anonymous
you know there is true power Armour in halo lore, it's just not in the games. Mjolnir is deadly to wear for regular humans because if the human vs Spartan physical capabilities. if it was an actual power Armour, such problems would be negated by the things that make power Armour A POWER ARMOUR, that is a powered internal exoskeleton that does the lifting. the suit does not count as that since then it means the suit is the powered element, not the Armour.
Anonymous
>you know there is true power Armour in halo lore, it's just not in the games.
Yeah, and they are what Mjolnir shot off from in development. The obvious trade-off between the two is that Mjolnir sacrifices operator compatibility for mobility
>Mjolnir is deadly to wear for regular humans because if the human vs Spartan physical capabilities. if it was an actual power Armour, such problems would be negated by the things that make power Armour A POWER ARMOUR, that is a powered internal exoskeleton that does the lifting
Mjolnir isn't deadly to regular humans because of the weight. The exoskeleton does all the heavy-lifting for the user. The issue is that it works TOO well and the regular human body can't withstand the force it reflects back into the user via the power amplification.
>the suit does not count as that since then it means the suit is the powered element, not the Armour.
Now you're just playing semantics.
They're yearly kid shows made on a budget so they can't go balls to the walls or else we get another Kabuto situation where it runs out mid show, that's why they make up for it with the chorerography and melee action.
Bear in mind that outside of the toei shows the next major tv toku hero show is the Ultra series which is a lot heavier on the effects is more sporadic with each of them running for less episodes than your typical sunday morning show. The most recent show, Blazar ended at 25 eps
If they made a Kamen Rider game, I feel like Ryuuki would be the best base for it. The entire thing is a death match with monsters as well. It's like the Kamen Rider version of Highlander.
Blade would actually be more high stakes, you fight not only the monsters to seal them and increase your base powers but also other riders so they can't steal your prey from under you. Ryuki at end game would always be wienerblocked by Odin anyway, while every Blade riders can theoretically obtain King Form.
The PS1 KR games are all brainless button mashers. Fun button mashers.
The Ryuki game lets you play as blank Ryuki and it's just as weak as you can imagine
left is both gay and also moronic. why would you have the muscle fibres exposed like that? can the suit not allow him to carry more weight? why not spend some of that weight on ballistic plates that would protect the suit itself?
Im not even sure what Kamen Rider suits do. Its like power rangers where you suit up but it doesnt really do anything. inb4 some gaymo weeaboo gets mad that I compared Kamen Rider to Power Rangers despite Kamen Rider coming first.
Crysis suit actually does cool shit like make you a mach speed invisible gorilla

>Crysis suit actually does cool shit like make you a mach speed invisible gorilla
Yeah for an instant before you have to go recharge like a b***h. You also die to bullets just as fast as a normal character would. The suit in Crysis SUCKS.
I prefer KR armor designs but japs are so fricking ugly and ridiculous I can't bring myself to enjoy it.
Power Rangers is better since it has attractive actors.

This picture reminds me of the Saban Sailor Moon pilot where it was half live action and they put Sailor Mercury into a flying wheelchair.
It's funny to imagine a world where we got that instead of the original on TV.
What's with the sudden mainstream interest in tokusatsu shows? Feels like just a couple of years ago no one knew what it was and dismissed it as "Japanese Power Rangers ," but now tons of people seem to be getting into franchises like Kamen Rider and Ultraman.
idk about anybody else but watching Godzilla Minus One had resonated with me more than to any other movie I've seen in a long while, and that led me down a rabbit hole of consuming lots of tokusatsu, starting with Showa era Godzilla films that led me into trying out Kamen Rider starting with the original series and finally being won over with Build and Kuuga.
I think watching all these japanese productions then going back and watching western hollywood stuff made me realize just how much I appreciate the unapologetic sincerity japs have for what they make. Like western entertainment feels so overeliant on reference humor, cynicism, and irony that its hard to be interested in whatever MCU movie is coming out next or what animated film/series is releasing. Most toku I've seen just have a lot of heart and doubly have some fantastic action choreography, something western capeshit just doesnt have anymore.
Western entertainment ACK’d itself, so people are increasingly looking elsewhere. Force Awakens was so bad it got me to finally sit down and watch all of UC Gundam back in 2015, and since then my consumption of Asian media has only increased. The younger generations are hooked on manga and seasonal anime to the point the Western comics industry is actually dead - if Marvel and DC weren’t owned by Disney and WB respectively they would have been shuttered years ago. They were the first medium to succumb to the irony-poisoned rainbow brigade, now mainstream Hollywood has followed suit. The result is inevitable.
It's absurd that Western super heroes gained more popularity than ever before and they didn't bother to even try to make their comics good or profitable. We could've had comics on the magazine racks at grocery stores like 60 years ago, but they didn't even try.
They could've even just reprinted old comics from back when the stories were good if they couldn't find anyone in the industry to do it now!
Japan. I like the Crysis suit aesthetically but practically it would kill your mobility. There’s hard metal sections intersecting the mid torso, inner elbow, wrists, inner knee, hips and ankle joints.
The real shame here is that a static image can't capture how fricking cool Faiz is with the weapon additions and how you can see the energy charging down the suit lines. Coolest part of the suit.
agreed but it will make 75% of the series after a major disappointment because both of those shows have without a doubt some of the strongest casts of any of the series. Like holy frick, topping Dan or Evolto alone hasn't happened yet and it's been almost 10 years since Ex-Aid.
>Left
Overly obsessed with realism at the expense of everything else >Right
Stylized, heavier focus on being iconic and visually appealing. Willing to lean into fantastical ideas and recognizes the important elements of storytelling that make fiction impactful.
right tops left bottoms
they both bottoms
Left LOOKS like it does what it does on the tin, but I hate it. Right looks cooler to me, but it's style over substance. If used in a videogame I'd want left in a "realistic" one and right in a cartoony one ala Viewtiful Joe.
Ultimately, it depends on the type of game you're making.
>it's style over substance
I’ll make it my life’s mission to kill whoever popularized the use of this meaningless phrase.
>I'm too stupid to understand basic statements and idioms.

>Right
ESL
Right's a fricking superhero albeit a tech one not an "advanced combat armor" in the way Ironmman isn't one
OP was talking about "advanced combat armor," Not the person in it or their "occupation" IE superhero.
frick yeah, Kamen Rider
I hate both but if I had to pick I'd go left
toku's fricking gay
(the arena fighters are probably ok tho)
The Faiz sound effects have lived rent-free in my head ever since I was a kid
STANDING BY

the one with the porn actor voice is the best.

Right but wearing left underneath.
high IQ post
Bonus if at some point on the fight the outer shell is damaged and you get a view of the inner layer.
kino for the viewers, horror for whoever damaged the suit
Right looks like a fricking bug. Do they expect me to take it seriously? Left of course.
Games for this feel in terms of plot and characters? Heisei phase 1 is so fricking comfy.
Wonderful 101
There’s a Super Sentai like tactics RPG called Chroma Squad
That game is woke and gay, and the gameplay is repetitive and boring.
I played that game a bit and then there was a cutscenes where they preached about gender equality and homosexuality. Some super unnecessary shit
>Games for this feel in terms of plot and characters?
the game of being 6 years old and playing with your plastic toys
Everyone who doesn't play videogames thinks that's what videogames are. Your parents thinksyou giggle and clap your feet together and play pac man.
Man, Blade was so fricking good, I hope they get a new movie like Faiz did.
Finally Garren have a King form.
Leangle also got one for the stage show.
Battride War games
Production quality reminds me of Red vs Blue.
Who is the guy between Kabuto and Gaim?
Kabuto is peak rider designs. Show didn't have better ones since.
left one's exoskeleton look would be alright if it had some armor plating on top to sell a juggernaut vibe.
He's not supposed to be an armored juggernaut. He's supposed to be a fast, strong, stealthy operative who can take a few bullets (and a few more in armor mode), but prefers tactical engagements.
He's literally just far cry joe with a five second invisibility button. The suit is incredibly gay. Lmao power armor that lets you sprint.
It's only sprint in Cry2 and 3. In the original, it's blazing fast to the point where AI has to spend a couple of seconds dumbfounded before they can shoot you again. You can also knock them down by running into them, but in Warhead for some reason it kills you.

West.
The answer is always west.
I don't know why you weebs keep asking questions we all already know the answer to.
Yeah if the question is "who's gay and sucks a lot of dick"
why are you gay and why do you suck lots of dick?
YWNBJ, btw.
Oh, I know the answer to that question now. It's western.
Why would I trust some homos opinion.
gay here, bug man with the smooth tights looks more down to suck than the skinless doomguy
>falseflag gay not so subtlely pushing the gay gimp suit on the left
Not surprising
Anglobros?
Why would you pick the wrong answer every single time?
>the answer is always LGBT
No.
Left
West is cool
Japan is cringe
Oh yeah. Name one good thing about North and South?
Thinly disguised Toku thread is thinly disguised.
I like both
both are cool
love the exo-muscular look of left, by far one of the more unique armor designs
right is cool too, hammy outfits will never go out of style so long as you don't pretend they're supposed to serve a higher purpose than to look cool
comparing both to the same standard is moronic
West.
West Tek, do be more precise.
That's a power armor
Both it and the Crysis suit fit the category of “powered exoskeleton”, they’re just executed differently.
Eastoids can't compete.
I also choose west.
I really like that Marvel Iron Man knock-off with shoulder minigun.
War Machine?
Yeah.
Yeah his suit looks cool.
>tfw anthem sucked donkey dicks
That was the closest we could have been to an iron man game
The nanite thing is practical but it looks so lame.
yes, the suit up is lame
i liked all the creative earlier suit up, the connection and replaying that in mind
bengus drawing western armor is the most based it'll ever get
ENTER
Western shit is just so much cooler than jap shit. Dumb slants could never make anything this cool.
Bengus understood capeshit designs better than 99% of Marvel artists both current and old.
I'm an Alex Ross fan. I think his designs are neat.
It's just a shame that he's not too good at motion. Still scenes are great, covers are almost always top-tier, but combat and movement always looks janky.
That's one thing the Japanese are way better at, conveying motion.
>click into video at about 6:00

Why is late game Veronica strangling late game Boone?
Does it have the flaw in its chest too, like in the show where one bullet will blow it up?
What are some other games with cool armor like the one in Crysis?
obligatory mention of halo
XCOM, specifically the first game, the second game ones kind of sucked.
Terror of the deep definitely wasn't as good
Vanquish
What a fun game
What the hell happened to Platinum man
I'd say Vanquish was easily one of their weaker games.
I am probably going to get flak for this but the whole Mjolnir series of Halo does it for me
Right was meant to be a super android wearing a funny bug suit. Left is a normal man, wearing a suit. Modern toku is just magic.
Geats was a mistake
Americans make big, bulky, heavy, inefficient and unreliable cars. Japan on the other hand make smaller, lighter, more efficient and reliable cars. Americans did everything worse because being extravagant and the center of attention was part of the culture but now that America turned into muttland the mediocrity is simply due to the much lower IQ.
>bug people become superbugs

Frickin loved this show as a kid. Shout factory are homosexuals and should reprint this and put it on blu ray.

japan still wins
Faiz is one of the few Kamen Riders that isn't based on a bug, dude's like a cellphone shark.
>few
>Because the Showa riders were all expressly bug themed

if alyx from halflife 2 was fine that one is fine too.
I don't play overwatch, but Zarya would be fine if her neck wasn't so fricking huge.
She always reminded me of the unreal 2k4 faction. But while prettier, even the roided weirdos in unreal had relatively human looking necks.
Alyx was always a shit character and HL2 sucked.
How can a person be inside the crysis suit? I mean, you have to be a literal twig to fit inside
I wonder how you actually get in it.
Don't worry anon. Wear the nanosuit long enough and you won't have to worry about trivialities like that.
I was reading about high altitude recon jet pilots, who spend hours flying about monitoring stuff. Their trick was diapers and a mostly liquid diet before/during flight. Don't need to poop if you don't add to the stack.
it probably comes off in sections and someone else has to put it on you like medieval armor
Steroids really gave every guy brainrot on what is skinny and “big” In what fricking world is the physique in the crysis suit a “literal twig” moron
How am I suppose to take the right one seriously?
It looks like a bug and a children's mascot.
If there is one thing japs are bad at its making armour, always have always will be.
youd probably die wearing a super suit lets be honest
Left is not even a armor
armor is it esl kun why you say that
>the west
>japan
Why did you compare a country to the whole western hemisphere?
Aren't you ashamed for that?
Anyway, shadow moon is better than any shits posted on this thread.
Because they're the only ones who have made anything of note. There is no chink, asiatic, ruskie, etc power armor because for whatever reason their entire continent decided to be collectively worthless in all creative endeavors after Journey to the West, the last and final Eastern piece of art.
The Japanese haven't evolve beyond a plagiarized design from the 60s.
That checks out.
Doesn't right also come with horrific cybernetic augmentation or is that only the OG Kamen Rider that was like that
That is very much an OG only thing, nowadays they just transform through whatever gadget the given rider uses.
Only OG, but in Faiz case you kinda have to die first before being able to wear it
This one essentially uses your life as fuel, so you die a bit when using it. A couple characters died using them since it burned all their "fuel".
I really hated that era of games where everything was made of carbon fiber
Right looks like cheap plastic cosplay over morph suit while left looks boring and generic.
Depends on tone of your work/story i guess, but I'd prefer some sort of middle ground between these two.
Tokushit is boring as frick.
>futuristic high tech supersoldier
>using bow and arrow like a caveman
It was in style at the time.
Stealth and bow is the only right way to play
What's the point of having power armor if you fight like a teenage girl in a young adult novel?
the cyrsis suit could probably cause an arrow to go through three men before stopping
It doesn't make sense because the arrows would have to be thick and heavy as frick.
Both are kinda bad.
If you look at old medieval armor it both looked good and often had cool ornaments while also being practical.
Left goes 100% functionality while right goes for aesthetics only.
West > Japan
Did you actually make an unironic version of the bait picture?
can you remake this picture with wojacks? Thanks in advance
no
How many of those western mechs are actual western designs and not licensed random japanese toys?
The jap designs are based on western designs anyway
Are they? Armored Core has designs like in right and its the only mech anything I like at all and its japan.
The rest are just giant overly smooth moving humans piloted by inexplicable 12 year olds with super powers who spend 30 mins whining about how scary everything is while their mech is essentially immune to 99% of the field and can kill thousands in 1 action
>I'm sure to win because my technology is superior
You're the mom who thinks all videogames are tetris played on a nintendo. You've become your own mother.
My mom only played Sega or puzzle games on pc though, she thought Mario was stupid
Tetris on the sony then.
Cool zakus.
These things predate zakus. Votoms > Gundam.
Zakus are the best mech design in history and there's nothing you homosexuals can do to prove me wrong.
They're not even the best zeon suit of the OYW.
This message brought to you by Zimmad, home of the self destructing mobile suit.
>Zakus are
There was no conditional on that statement, so one of the easy ways to prove you wrong would be to post one of the many many many terrible zaku II variants from obscure supplementary shit nobody but densha ota have ever heard of
You're literally arguing with someone who's made a point to shill western mech and shit on everything japanese.
That's just super robots vs real robots, not east vs west.
Though I prefer real robots most of the time, I like TTGL immensely.
Freeze, Westoid!
>John Appleseed
yeah frick japanese mechs, why don't they make cool western mechs like armored core?
Why doesn't every country have their own combat armor aesthetic if Japan has one of their own?
Left looks generic and soulless
The zombie with the ai of a black dude
Can anyone tell me if the ends justifaiz the means?
yes
Faiz is great
I kind of found Faiz boring for the most part. But it got better towards the end.
Left is a try-harding daddy dom, right is a twink.
Twinks > anything else.
why are you such a fricking homosexual?
Is it canon that the Smart Brain suits can keep up with Clock Up as seen in Decade, or was that Dikeido cheating?
I know there's some official numbers floating somewhere if you want to go full autism on power level but for all intents and purposes every speed power up puts everyone on the same speed
Decade was cheating, but IIRC it's happened a couple of times in the crossovers (which are always fricky with the power levels since newer riders tend to be stronger than older riders)
Hyper Clock Up is still faster, though. Bullshit ftl/time travel is bullshit.
If you wanna get into actual numbers Accel is only the speed of sound while Clock Up is the speed of light, but of course crossovers don't really take that shit into account.
Well, Geiz Typhoon form can also keep up with Clock up.
>Talks

Why didn't the other guy just shoot him?
No. Decade just does whatever it wants. Though kabuto cant fricking make up its mind if it wants to be super speed or time slowdown either.
>Though kabuto cant fricking make up its mind if it wants to be super speed or time slowdown either.
It's effectively the same thing. The suits speed them up to move at near-lightspeed and the slow-mo bits are just to look cool and show things from their perspective
Kabuto's Rider Kick is so god damned sexy. I should've picked up the CSM when it just came out.
Yeah, I agree his rider kick is hella cool. Though my favorite is Drive's
>That OPEN THE OMNIBUS henshin

Yeah its pretty good for Reiwa era riders.
Kamen Rider Saber

>those last two webms

It's the hypest shit I've seen this year
The special effects are garbage even for japanese standards, but I like this kick more than most because he actually tries to trap his enemies while he does his gay dance ritual, rather than shit like
>My belt says I'm going to rider kick you
>I'm glowing, because I'm going to rider kick you
Then the enemy runs directly into the kick when literally any other option would be better
well, the usual standard would be the rider jumping towards the enemy to kick them, not the other way around like Kabuto.
You have no idea.
How good is Saber compared to 01? I consider 01 to be like a 7/10 among rider shows.
>how good is saber
>I consider 01 to be like a 7/10 among rider shows.
if you like zero one then you should be braindead enough to enjoy saber
Lots of moments that are awesome and some that are bad like certain riders not having enough screentime with barely any character developments
if I was 12 this would have been the coolest shit ever. but I'm not. so its cringe.
wait 10 years and it will become the best shit ever again.

Woah! I didn't know they made a new series of night rider
Context of this? Which series is this?
Kamen Rider Geats

I hear the objectively most based extra ranger also played a KR villain. For those who have seen both, is he as good in KR as he was in Shinkenger? Is it worth a watch just for his high quality ham?

The Game Master.
Usually prefer western designs, but Crysis armour looks like shit, the kamen rider dude outdoes it easily.
I'm nooticing a lot of faiz threads lately
Halo armour is the best power armour. A combination of west and east. Not too simple and not too complex.

Its weird that we already had two remakes of Kamen Rider 1.
Isn't that design for a Ghost Crossover Movie? Lel.
The first and The next were so much better than Shin, it's a shame a bunch of people disliked it
shit taste
They were recognized as bad movies that amounted to little more than Inoue fricking around for the sake of it. Anno at least is a superfan and wanted to make a something that worships the original show / manga and other toku from the time.
What tactical advantage does the fluttering scarf bring? Is it some kind of color-based optical camo supposed to work with the bright green to OCM enemy targeting?
It keeps him from chafing his neck.
shut up
If you can't play along with a joke at least shut it yourself.
It's so his neck doesn't get cold when riding his bike.
No joke.
>West or Japan?
>Why not both?
Nah Japan has rad taste from time to time and western stuff is shit if it's not historical
The bulkier your power armor is the less advanced it looks. The ultimate goal for any futuristic power armor is to be a skin-tight suit.
Is Gotchard any good? /m/ seems a little mixed on it.
Any episodes not focused on the main duo are at the very least pretty good
>I also didn't like the "Decade but not really Decade" guy they introduced.
He's just exclusive to some web specials until now
I've not watched it but I did enjoy Fire Gotchard's over the top rider kick.
>Kuuga
>expected stupid shit like that valvrad rider debut fight
Okay that was actually pretty cool.
Kuuga was so fricking good. I hope Agito is as good too.
Agito starts as a Kuuga sequel before they nixed the connection since they wanted to respect Kuuga's fight.
It's awesome to see them use that connection again in Decade, it's so nice when you understand the plot connection.
>Kuuga was so fricking good. I hope Agito is as good too.
Oh anon.
well, but is still good and doesn't fall as hard as 01 or Ghost. damn Ghost was bad and 01 left a really bad aftertaste.
Name the ones you've watched, maybe you just happened to be pick whatever looks cool but actually are just kinda meh.
Someone mustve hated you to tell you to watch zio.
Start with kuuga. I havent met a sane human who hated kuuga.
Are they generally stand-alone things?
Yes for 99% of that picture.
Thanks brosephiroth
Apparently W is "double" and that's the best design so imma try that
That era of rider was pretty solid barring a few series so you cant go wrong with that. The usually shit on series from that time are; kiva, zio, hibiki (due to director change), ghost, decade(everyone remembers it for the main actor and memes only), and wizard.
>starting off with W
Perfect one to start off with.
Yeah, at the end of the day, its targeted towards children after all.
Seeing Kamen Rider Drive makes me remember the Signal Bike jerk off motion to activate the powers. 10/10. Also great opening song.
Surprise Drive is one of those songs I still find myself whistling from time to time.
I bought the belt a while back, but I never managed to get the form cars before they became too expensive for the plastic they're made of
It is that good.
About the cars, shame. Never tried collecting tokusatsu merch, but I always assumed they sell out really quickly. Also, judging by how people do with other collectibles like gunpla, there must be a lot of people buying in bunch to resell later.
yeah scalpers suck
last year some toys had to get rereleases because of how much they were scalped to death

Shocker did nothing wrong
My favourite KR moment:
Blade proving just how fricking crazy the rules governing Undead are.
It doesn't matter if it's real, digital or mental. Undead are bullshit.
context: Dan Kuroto (insert titles here) pretended to be Blade to trick Ex-Aid and the dead Riders he put in his timelooped game world.
The west just really looked at the bottom of a nike shoe and decided "yeah I want my armor to look like that" huh.
>Another KR thread
Could Golgom be behind this?
Which KR has the objectively best OP and why is it DenO? You're hearing Climax Jump manually right now!
>and why is it DenO
Weird way to write Ryuki. Alive a Life is a fricking masterpiece both in visuals and theme song. Next are Justifaiz and Black.

Thoughts on Journey through the Decade? I love it but I'm a card carrying Gacktgay
YOU COUNT THE MEDALS ONE TWO AND THREE!
>Den-O
>Ryuki
>Faiz
yes, its known that CGI effects has never been their strong suit, but they do what they can with what they have in the limited time of weekly episodes.
Agito, Drive, Ghost are all top tier
I love Kuuga’s OP for the “NO FEAR NO PAIN” line alone, it just unlocks something primal in me. It’s so inspiring.
Kuuga’s whole OST is just immaculate.
>Joe Odagiri was so fricking handsome that him playing Kamen Rider Kuuga brought an audience of 20-40 years old women to the show that was aimed at teenaged boys.
How the frick did he do it?
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Odagiri_effect
Eh, something similar happened with Jetman where houswives were seeing the show for the soap opera elements.
In any case, its not that uncommon in media as a whole. I'm sure so christmas cakes went to see avengers because they thought Chris Hemsworth was sexy.
It's not even an accidental thing, the whole Japanese television industry openly casts with cross-demographic sex appeal in mind.
FEAR.
PAIN.
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
Wanzers are the best mech designs
is there a single mecha series from Japan with a more nihilistic, brutal and deranged setting than FM?
Soukou no Strain. Don't read a single word about it just watch the first episode. I have never seen shit get so brutal and depressing so fast.
The games themselves aren't really like that, its the supplementary material like Dog and Dog Style
Well the first game had the main character's gf's brain attached to that computer and then becomes a deranged terrorist you kill unceremoniously in FM2 if I recall
Isn't custom robo the one where the tiny battling robots are a distraction from the fact the population lives in domed cities because the world is an irradiated hell scape outside?
That's the plot of the gamecube one, it's not true for the other games in the series. It's just that most of the other games didn't get translated so unless you're enough of a chad to have played the DS one you would only know the gamecube one.
Right has no ass
I picked Den-O as my first KR and it's so fricking fun
both look like moronic homosexuals. though i like the moronic homosexual on the right more
>wearing armor
American ninja is more of a super spy or Bond figure - fancy special techniques (gadgets), specializes in assassinations and subtlety, skilled in hand to hand combat, and often associated with a secret organization.
Cowboys are more equivalent to samurai - confrontational, honorable 1v1s often emphasizing on quick draws, typically relies a a single type of weapon or at most dual weld same weapon, usually solo/nomadic or associated with a small group.
unironically asking, how do you guys find the time to watch all these toku series? do you not watch or play anything else?
>20 minutes a week
Damn how will I fit this in
I watch 1 or 2 episodes every morning and/or during lunch hour. Not as bad as you think.
Some guys have been watching for years already. Besides, its not much commitment. If you watch a single episode a day, you can very easily finish 4 shows in a single year with plenty of time to spare.
Sometimes the story becomes so good that you would prioritize it over video games to finish the series as quick as possible
It's 20 minutes every monday/tuesday if you're watching the current show, for older shows I just watch an episode while I'm eating a meal.
Tsubaraya and Toho also do Toku shorts you can watch sporadically on their youtube. I've watched the entirety of Redman in an hour
I'm watching a single episode every time I do cardio at the gym so about 2 times a month kek
some anons watched these shows in their childhood
some picked it up and have been watching it for years
some people just find the time to spare 20 mins for an episode a day
if you can marathon tv shows like BCS you can marathon /m/ shows
Local Janitor
Space.
I'm sick of Japan being allowed to have fun costume designs and ridiculous looking monsters meanwhile the west gets dark "moviefied" shit.
Tokusatsu heroes have to look cool because they want people to buy the toys and other merchandise.
Then why do riders have so many terrible forms these days?
because kids prefer them to the sleek-n-cool designs of yesteryear
Gotta sell toys so theyll just implement any ideas onto a rider now.
Blame Den-O, nowadays every riders have to have every colors under the sun because of him.
You say this as if western heroes don't get toys or merchandise
Seth McFarlene toys are kino as frick but its not the same, Toku Heroes(and precure) LITERALLY advertise their own products and toyline, thats why everything is so noisy and toyetic nowadays whether or not thats a bad thing is YMMV
This guy is who I'd main if there was a fighting game or a dynasty warriors to grind in. Love me big tanky bois.
Everyone else would play the gay twink (woman?) with the scythe, because edgy

I bet they had to run the finisher name twice to not get sued by the Kekkai Sensen people.
im guessing this is like the wrestling suspension of disbelief?
About as much suspension of disbelief as anything else fictional.
i feel like suspension of disbelief is way harder with live action compared to something like anime though. low budget live action stuff like this just ends up looking goofy.
It's about the same as capeshit. I mean, it quintessentially IS capeshit.
Maybe it's just that all these clips are on brightly lit japanese streets that throws me off, because i can tell the costumes had a lot put into them.
also im probably just dumb because these clips are for the same scene and don't paint an overall image of the aesthetic of the show. in conclusion i should probably just kill myself
>because i can tell the costumes had a lot put into them.
Yes, the rider suits being really flashy are part of their aesthetics that goes the same for other tokusatsu series.
Ryugen
Japanese people are notoriously bad actors so it doesnt help.
not really
>when you are a white guy and visit Tokyo for the first time, POV
It's no less goofy than something like Moon Knight or Ms. Marvel and those are all marvelstuffs with disney backing. Hell, I'd say the average masked rider effects are more believable than something from Ant-Man 3.
>I may have gone too far in a few places
Shin Hurricaneger
His zilla is BEYOND SHIT. Thank Toho they saved the big guy with Minus One KINO.
>Haven't seen Minus One yet
BDrip will drop on the next week. You have to see it
guess I'll check nyaa for it when I remember
The exoskeleton is built into the under suit, being more obvious on the older versions
so it's a power suit (kinda like in Crysis) with Armour plating, not true Power Armour.
Not really. The shit weighs literal tons and only Spartans can actually wear it without fear of breaking every bone in their body due to the strength amplification
you know there is true power Armour in halo lore, it's just not in the games. Mjolnir is deadly to wear for regular humans because if the human vs Spartan physical capabilities. if it was an actual power Armour, such problems would be negated by the things that make power Armour A POWER ARMOUR, that is a powered internal exoskeleton that does the lifting. the suit does not count as that since then it means the suit is the powered element, not the Armour.
>you know there is true power Armour in halo lore, it's just not in the games.
How low is the budget for these things? The special effects are legit first year graphic design and I'm failing tier
>The special effects are legit first year graphic design and I'm failing tier
Heh, confirmed never seen After Last Season.
I haven't seen any of them, just these webms, which have extremely bad special effects
Damn that floating rain vfx concept is pretty cool.
damn kabuto was fricking cool. The movie was great too
it's a toy commercial for children that has to run nonstop for a year anon, you're not getting MCU-tier effects
Japan all the way
I want right with the muscle fibers in the black of the suit like left.
Say, how do we feel about the Super Imaginative Chogokin redesigns?
That is a big ass bag
>no Accel watch
that's a death sentence for Faiz.
The scope and camera knuckle being large defeats the point of Faiz's equipment looking like inconspicuous items
Which Rider series are currently subbed on Tubi these days?
Ryuki
Kugga
OG
Geats will at least be there soon.
Left is built for sex
Right is built for furries
Toku bros do i start at the begining or at like Kuuga?
Kuuga will better cater to your modern sensibilities.
Wasn't there a Ryuki PS1 game? How was that?
The PS1 KR games are all brainless button mashers. Fun button mashers.
The Ryuki game lets you play as blank Ryuki and it's just as weak as you can imagine
Agito PS1 was fricking great. Button mashing for sure, but it was great fun. Reminds me of the Budokai series a bit for dbz.
Good as a stand alone, I dunno, but Agito(PS1), Kabuto(PS2) and the last Climax Heroes(Wii) were all decent to great fanservice games.
left looks like lord zedd form powerrangers
Are the crisis games any good?
put a textured muscle suit under the kamen rider armor plates and then we are talking.
Why did they make the Nanosuit look absolutely moronic in 2 and 3?
Both are fricking cool.
left is both gay and also moronic. why would you have the muscle fibres exposed like that? can the suit not allow him to carry more weight? why not spend some of that weight on ballistic plates that would protect the suit itself?
He can't run and lift things at the same time, don't be silly.
>I'm a moron who doesn't know anything about the subject matter but I'm going to weigh in with my opinions and reckonings anyway while simultaneously preemptively insulting anyone who might call me a moron
lol
lmao
The Crysis suit was inspired by KR suits more than western shit by the way you mongoloid, having different modes that enhance something different and a fricking voice that announces it is pure Kamen Rider. They even got fricking Wakamoto to voice the suit announcer in Crysis.
yeah sorry I made fun of your power rangers for adults show, even so its just homosexual japs doing cartwheels and shit. Crysis suit punches jeeps and wrestles sharks, Kamen Rider is just a flashy suit
>Crysis suit punches jeeps and wrestles sharks
For five seconds and then he gets a little tired and he has to eat a hamburger. The most limp dicked power armor in history.
>has to eat a hamburger
AMERICAAAA
Strange how the North Korean version doesn't have that drawback and even has a bodyplate up front
Because Jong Un is based, so not strange at all really.
>Crysis Suit does exactly the same shit as a tech KR suit
>Literally and unironically the same shit as the Faiz suits, speed mode, increased strength, fricking stealth camo
>Used to heem giant monsters and kick the shit out of anything weaker than a giant monster or someone else in a suit
>One is good but one is bad because Japan
moron
Crysissy is a pussy with no stamina.
%3D%3D
bro what? the power rangers suits make them a frickload stronger, faster and tougher when they morph. this can even be seen in the old SNES beat em up where individual putties are hard to kill in your unmorphed form but job to one hit when morphed
>Crysis suit actually does cool shit like make you a mach speed invisible gorilla
Yeah for an instant before you have to go recharge like a b***h. You also die to bullets just as fast as a normal character would. The suit in Crysis SUCKS.
Right looks stupid
Left is obese
Frick these mechanical armors.
Crysis kamen rider would be cool
I prefer KR armor designs but japs are so fricking ugly and ridiculous I can't bring myself to enjoy it.
Power Rangers is better since it has attractive actors.
Alright, now where are my GaroBros?
seto kaiba
>second game completely ruined ending of the first and immediately killed the franchise
sad, sad
i wanted a third or a prequel, let us see the rise of that one chick in the first game you kill or something
Both are cool, anyone who says Japan or the West can't do cool armor is a gay.
what is the wester version of Gunbuster
feeling to read/watch/play some stuff like that now
Japs are like the Brits - they can build advanced tech, but are quite capable of taking the piss, unlike Germs or Mutts
>Brits
>being able to take the piss
Lmao lol even. Say anything bad about their history or nobility and they start seething about it with cope and mental gymnastics.
>seething about it with cope and mental gymnastics
You mean just like Japan?
Left looks like what a balding American military general thinks would look cool
That's not "combat armor" om the right, that's an undead creature that has shapeshifted into a form that appears armored
>undead creature on the right
>traumatized robot carrying a dead creature on the left
Maybe I don't want to wear armor anymore
Power armor is for pussies.
Oh look, we got a Dasani gay.
Go back to the retirement home, Duke
this thread is just
>hey look at this insanely cool thing I think it sucks
on both sides
Welcome to East v West threads.
This picture reminds me of the Saban Sailor Moon pilot where it was half live action and they put Sailor Mercury into a flying wheelchair.
It's funny to imagine a world where we got that instead of the original on TV.
You ever see the Ultraman USA hanna-barbara pilot(which is actually canon to the regular ultraman mythos) or the SD Gundam one?
Are there any good Kamen Rider video games? Old is fine.
GOOD? No
There's some okayish ones
Frick no. Ive been playing them since the PS2 era and most of them are shovelware tier.
I mean, the musou are okay if you just want that HISSATSU twinge in your brain
The tiny dwarf legs of the crysis suit look so silly
What's with the sudden mainstream interest in tokusatsu shows? Feels like just a couple of years ago no one knew what it was and dismissed it as "Japanese Power Rangers ," but now tons of people seem to be getting into franchises like Kamen Rider and Ultraman.
Japanese/Korean media is getting more popular in general. Westoids have troonyfied themselves beyond redemption and are losing cultural hegemony.
idk about anybody else but watching Godzilla Minus One had resonated with me more than to any other movie I've seen in a long while, and that led me down a rabbit hole of consuming lots of tokusatsu, starting with Showa era Godzilla films that led me into trying out Kamen Rider starting with the original series and finally being won over with Build and Kuuga.
Mayhaps people are finally watching Fuuto PI
They are popular in SEA.
Makes sense since a seaBlack person harrassed the actor for BLACK at his restaurant and that they ruin all kr discussions in /m/.
I'm in burgerland and toku is still very much seen as "Japanese Power Rangers" here. Weird considering how much everyone loves Godzilla.
What you should be comparing sentai/toku with is with capeshit. It looks infinitely cooler than homos in spandex.
Did you know that in super sentai men also suit act for female characters
Japan. I like the Crysis suit aesthetically but practically it would kill your mobility. There’s hard metal sections intersecting the mid torso, inner elbow, wrists, inner knee, hips and ankle joints.
>What's the consensus?
Sailor Moon.
Japan
He got done dirty by the writers turning him into a villain like that. One of my least favorite parts of that show.
He got done dirty for 40 straight episodes. I couldnt watch it anymore due to how they couldnt write anyone for shit.
The Crysis 2 nanosuit is such a fricking downgrade design wise. The stockier proportions and roid gut look frick the silhouette up so bad.
OOOAA SOOPA ROOKING FIGHT SOOT YEAH PREASE MAKEA ME ROOK RIKE A BUGMAN HOHO
>Faiz
SOVL Raider will never be this good again.
Kamen rider the movie will never be kino like Paradise lost again
Heisei run was just too good.
Is there a MAL-like where you guys track which show you've watched?
Yeah, it's called your memory.
I guess there's MyDramaList but I just use Notepad
That's cool and all but I'm pretty sure the left was designed by a swedish man.
Right is more stylish, but I like the unga bunga gorilla style of the left more.
The real shame here is that a static image can't capture how fricking cool Faiz is with the weapon additions and how you can see the energy charging down the suit lines. Coolest part of the suit.
Is the cat the best site for Toku shows? Also which ones should I start with, heard Don Borhers is good.
Kamen Rider Build and Ex-aid
agreed but it will make 75% of the series after a major disappointment because both of those shows have without a doubt some of the strongest casts of any of the series. Like holy frick, topping Dan or Evolto alone hasn't happened yet and it's been almost 10 years since Ex-Aid.
Start with Decade, it has a weird fun to watch it and be absolutely confused about what's going on
>KINGU LION DAIIIIISENNKEEEEIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII
