People often underestimate the leap forward in visuals that came with PS3/xbox360 and cherrypick the games that looked the best on PS2 because they used static backgrounds or had only a small amount of characters on screen, but then you have AC with similar quality visuals and a scale that rivals GTA:SA.
2023 with Hifi Rush and Pizza Tower coming out back to back, then being followed by a pathetic trickle of decent indies and absolutely fricking nothing good around the end of the year.
