I found the visual design of Persona 5 to be really striking. In fact that game and Bloodborne got me back into gaming. I'd say the Dark Souls series has some truly beautiful parts. Also games like Secret of Mana on the SNES had great design.
I agree with this. Many games have beautiful parts in them, but Okami had such a consistent style that every area had a certain beauty to it.
Other than that several 16 bit era rpgs were nice.
