>It's just Gwyn but less original
Maybe it's because I just parry him to death too fast, but I don't ever remember Gwyn changing his weapon type or having an entire spell caster phase.
Pikmin 3
it's still an incredible game and better than 90% of stuff I've played but when it came out there were so many expectations riding on that game that it just could never live up to. Appreciate it now more with Pikmin 4 existing. DS3 is great stop being a gay
The most massive game that dissapointed me the most was Grand theft auto 5. I grew up with 4 and expected everything to carry over when it was released. I hated the characters, the story, the gameplay and especially the lack of physics the cars had. I played online when it came out and enjoyed that until rockstar made it their cash printer and fricking destroyed it.
Honourable mentions: >resident evil 3 & 4 remake >rdr2 >cyberpunk (I knew this was going to be fricking horrible) >wolfenstien 2 >dead space 3 >guitar hero live >fallout 4 >final fantasy 13 >saw 1 & 2 >every wwe since svr2011
Dark Souls 1 and 2 give you an open map with many areas to explore at your discretion, Dark Souls 3's map is extremely linear. Ds1 and 2 encourage slow, methodical combat while Ds3 encourages a much more aggressive playstyle. Furthermore nearly every aspect of Ds3's lore is copied from Ds1, where as Ds2 tried to avoid overt references to the first game.
DS2 does not have better combat, that's delusional. 3 looks better, has better estus, the worldbuilding makes sense, the zones are less shit, it has better combat, better bosses, and a hub that isn't carried exclusively by its music.
A few come to mind >Resident Evil 3 Remake
I liked RE2R so I was excited to see RE3 (one of my favourite games in the series) get the same treatment but they fricking butchered it. The gore was toned down from RE2R for some reason, they cut a lot of content from original and it was insanely short with very little replay value compared to how much RE games usually have. >Super Mario Odyssey
It was just such a let down after how much I enjoyed Galaxy 1 and 2 (I didn't play any Mario games between Galaxy 2 and Odyssey). The game rewards you way too much with constant moons making nothing feel earned. The levels are also kinda boring after Wooded Kingdom. >Ninja Gaiden II (vanilla)
I really loved Ninja Gaiden Black so I went straight into NG2, and then I was disappointed. Maybe I need to give it another shot but the camera was annoying in combat, the combat itself didn't feel as punchy as NGB and then I learnt that the director left like half way through development and took a lot of the team with him resulting in an unfinished game and the people left behind had to scramble shit together and finish off the game themselves. All that just really put me off playing any further after the city levels. >GTA V
I liked IV, TBoGT and TLaD a lot but V was very bland and boring to me as well as the story mode being mediocre compared to what we got with previous Rockstar games (I don't care for the online stuff). Trevor was also so fricking annoying. >Elden Ring
This is one I actually want to go back to now for a replay because it's been patched up and fixed a lot but when I got it on launch, I beat it but it was just really annoying. There were entire quests that needed fixing and finishing, I got 2 stat scaling bugs that stuck with me for the rest of the game and it just ruined the experience for me. The copy and pasted stuff is a bit lame but it doesn't bother me as much as the broken and buggy shit on launch.

Dark Souls 2 powerstance was garbage and cucked, people only used it for double spear

overall i would be less dissapointed if i bought it during a sale or something
Soul memory was such a meme. I had thousands of hours in multi in 2 and it was never an issue and yet 4chin constantly acted like it would bar them from playing. Fricking idiots. Lol
Only cheaters never had issue with Souls memory because they could cheat engine what they need while wearing the souls sucking ring.
It's a moronic mechanic made even more moronic by the game introducing spells using souls currency as ammo.
Dark Souls 2 was just an awful game that misunderstood everything about Souls. Its movement, its combat, its mechanics and even its matchmaking.
perfect dark zero and tales of vesperia.
first because as a kid I played the shit out of PD64 and second because I heard over and over again how Vesperia was so good.
Lies of P just needed to have a good story and good gameplay and it didn't have either of those things. They should make DLC where you fight through a giant puppet whale. I'd probably actually play that.
>no truths/lies only endings >abandon puppets for generic zombies halfway through the game >all bosses except Romeo are either forgettable or terrible >level design in the last half of the game is just "run through 60 enemies with miniboss health bars and don't get gravity'd"
It's bad anon
All of that is wrong, and you can't have a truth only ending because you can't even leave the tutorial without lying.
You were also conned into thinking that the dichotomy is truth/lies when it's empathy/coldheartednes, or human/inhuman if you prefer, and won't you look at that, each of those has an ending with a neutral one in the middle.
>You can't have a truth-only ending because the game wasn't designed that way!
Holy fricking deep insight anon, you're right, wow, I never even realised
The whale is already in the game. It is the submarine you use to get to the alchemists' isle. You fundamentally do not understand the way LoP uses the fairytale ip. In KH pinnochios level takes place inside monstro.
Why the frick would a puppet whale make sense in the LoP universe? What utility would a fricking whale provide?
>What utility would a fricking whale provide?
Is this a joke? In a world where they have giant puppet clowns with extendo-fists, the idea of a puppet whale existing for aquariums or nautical performances just isn't compelling enough reason for you?
Every time people explicitly show that he clearly turned around and ran away, and dipshits like you still insist on posting this
It looks awkward, yes, but you're not going to get backstabbed through no fault of your own in singleplayer
Really, only two games come to mind for me:Metroid Other M and Bayonetta 3. I'll admit I was intrigued at the idea of a Metroid game that played like a Ninja Gaiden game, but then I actually played it and the control scheme they went with does not work at all. And that'snot even mentioning the story. As for Bayo 3, the story also wasn't really sitting right with me as I was playing it (for one thing, it was multiverse when multiverse fatigue was already setting in, and on top of that, it was demoralizing seeing all those alternate one-off Bayos getting killed.). And then it just doesn't run well. Needless to say, I didn't beat either of them. I guess I got some silver lining for Metroid with Dread eventually, but with Kamiya leaving Platinum, I don't now if something like that can happen with Bayo. And I don't even think I care since Platinum fell off hard
This game killed my innocence. I truly believed at the time that video games were only going to get exponentially better as technology advanced, that things previously withheld to my imagination would become possible.
Will Wright made Tod Howard look like a straight shooter, the amount of fricking lies Maxis spewed prepared me to never fall for the procedural generation meme again.
Soul of Cinder was a kino fight and better than any other meme final boss that From puts out.
It's just Gwyn but less original. Everything in Ds3 is just stolen from Ds1 or Bloodborne.
What's original about Gwynn?
>It's just Gwyn but less original
Enough about Vendrick
>It's just Gwyn but less original
Maybe it's because I just parry him to death too fast, but I don't ever remember Gwyn changing his weapon type or having an entire spell caster phase.

DS2 does not have better combat, that's delusional. 3 looks better, has better estus, the worldbuilding makes sense, the zones are less shit, it has better combat, better bosses, and a hub that isn't carried exclusively by its music.

Even people who like Ds3 admit the estus is bad. You get too much and it heals too quickly. It removes all tension.
Wrong. 1 and 3 had good estus and 2 had shit estus, simple as.
Where's the version of this with bb
And now sekiro and pee
Wrong, Dark Souls 2 only gives you two starting paths, like

Dark Souls 2
If Ds2 is bad then why did Elden Ring copy so much of 2's gameplay?
It didn't
It copied paired weapons though, which is why dual wielding is actually not garbage and has running and jumping r1s and r2s
