What's the point of making a boss impossible to beat? You need to farm 30-50 levels for the fight to start being fair, I don't know a single person who has defeated him with the initial level.

either look at it as an attrition fight ,where you need to gather enough upgrades/stats to compensate your lack of skills

margit is possibly the worst boss in the game, I always summon for him because memorizing the moronic attack timings isn't worth it

They do change depending on your rolling. He's pretty much made to show you that the old way of playing Souls games won't work well in ER. Use guard counters, ashes, crouch and jump and you can either stagger him or evade most of his attacks.
Don't try to cheese him, really learn how to beat him, it'll help you with every boss afterwards.
I'm assuming most people that found him hard must have ran past literally everything and gotten there by level 3 or some shit.

He's the first boss your fricking moron, there's nothing else to do besides farming
Yeah, the whole way up to him is filled with enemies. Did you just skip all of them? Maybe the golem right before, but the camps and dungeons should give you enough runes to reach lvl20 before facing him.

I wasn't even level 30 when I beat him
I literally hadn't even figured out how to level up because I didn't go to the early grace, I had no mount, couldn't teleport around, couldn't level up, I just cleared like 2-3 sides things and ran up into this place and thought it was an optional thing as well and beat him in 2 tries, almost on the first try as well
was hilariously easy and I have no idea how anyone thinks hes hard
what's the point of adding a jump button and a sweep attack in the tutorial boss if you can't even jump it?
Bad design decision, they could have taught people to jump more that way.
