What's the "you beat the game"-minimum for this series?
>No wikipedia
>No tutorial
>No CO-OP
>No npc summons
>No excessive souls farming to outlevel the hard bosses
If you check all these then you beat the game.
OP weapons and armor are part of the game, if you get fortunate and stumble upon them than that should count as fair.
if you never come to Ganker, you beat the game.
Saw the ending in-game?
You beat it.
>b-but i finished the game having my hand held the entire time because muh credits
nope, you finished the game, but you didn't beat it
the game beat you
>OP weapons and armor are part of the game
no and no magic either , miracles or pyromancies
just use the claymore at SL1/RL1
>claymore
you didn't beat the game
claymore is popular because of how good it is.
club is the real gamers weapon.
you mean the large / great club ? or the regular club ? every one of those is OP as hell even at SL1 as they have a lot of base dmg
claymore dmg is shit at low levels
regular club has no range. that's the safety net that weapons like the claymore grant.
hand ax is my choice
hand axe is a weapon of choice for sl1 runs alongside the reinforced club
SL1/RL1 really isn't that impressive if you think about it
Really funny how soulsgays hold that as the goldstandard tho
what's the "goldstandard " if a level one run isn't?
I'm saying that it is the goldstandard. Some probably see it as this epic gamer achievement.
Really, if I see someone boasting over a SL1 run all I see is someone who wasted a lot of time through trial and error to learn how to mindlessly press the roll button.
I love the souls games but at it's core it really is a braindead game
what's a brainalive game?
Brood War, any MOBA, Dark Souls PVP.
Really though, explain to me what is so impressive about a SL1 run? Each boss has a maximum of 20 moves if it's a well designed one, learning how to dodge them and when to weave in attacks really isnt that hard, neither does it require much critical thinking or creative processing.
>Dark Souls PVP.
So elden ring.
You're moronic or what?
Yeah Elden Ring PVP requires infinite more brainpower than an SL1/RL1 run
jesus christ how autistic are you c**t
>you didn't beat the game unless I say
wow actually take your meds hahahaha
>What's the "you beat the game"-minimum for this series?
You watch the credits roll
Came here to post this. Prepare to Die gays need not apply.
"you beat the game" is basically
>any str or dex weapon with no bleed/poison bullshit or any other magical properties
>can fortify the weapon using the base upgrade material but nothing else, e.g. normal titanite, no red/green/twinkling etc titanite, your weapon must be completely normal
>no elemental paper bullshit or anything else for temporarily buffing weapon
>rings allowed
>only defenses allowed are rolling, armor, and whatever rings. no physical or magical shields
>tl;dr you are not magical in literally any way except rings, no shields allowed, no temporary buffs
>people still pretend souls games are hard
LOL
You not being a homosexual so much is all I need.
I think if you saw the ending that you beat the game. I will admittedly think you’re a bit of a poser if you’re gonna claim this as one of your favorite games but haven’t beaten all of the bosses or played the DLC. I will think you’re less than human if you followed a guide the entire time you played, but I won’t deny that subhumans can beat most video games.
A map. Doesn't matter if it has labels or points of interest. If you know where to go it can ruin the game.
>What's the "you beat the game"-minimum for this series?
Beating the game.
>b-but that's too easy
Yes, Souls is an easy series, I'm sorry you thought otherwise.
>What's the "you beat the game"-minimum for this series?
Beating the final boss. It's the same for all video games.
Jesus Ganker bodied that dickless idiot
Dark Souls 2 SotFS
>30 000 Soul Memory run
>no bonfire and no death run
If you haven't beat the game with 30k SM character or earn those 2 illusory rings, you did not beat the game.
No tutorial? You have to skip the messages in the asylum that tell you the controls?
I pre-ordered the collectors edition of Demon's Souls on PS3 and it came with a book that told you step by step how to do every NPC questline
>No tutorial
K moron, how am I gonna play the game than.
by pressing buttons.
>Souls games are hard if you make them hard for yourself by not doing or using certain things
So is every game morons
It's like the Pokemon fanbase.
>these games are hard if you don't use healing items, let your Pokemon die, fight under leveled, only use one Pokemon, only use Weedle, don't use Pokemon centers, etc. etc.
It feels like people are not even allowed to just play the game normally anymore.
No swapping out of fashion picks for better stats or looks.
Find a better helmet? better remember that for your next character.
Spear sucks shit? Too bad. Master it, by actually beating the game.
>No CO-OP
>No NPC summons
>No excessive souls farming to outlevel the hard bosses
Yeah let's just ignore all these game mechanics the devs put in for the sake of the experience. Brilliant move, sir.
>Excessive soul farming
Like 75% of your damage comes from your weapon upgrades alone. It's why you can do sl1 playthroughs. The only actually challenging part is not getting one shot by everything
