Better controls and draw distance than the psx version, but worse textures and sound. All in all, still the second best MegaMan game of all time, after MegaMan Legends 2
How can anyone prefer the slow, childish, story-heavy Legends series to the fast-paced, no-frills action of the original games? Legends was seriously such a letdown.
>actual story >interesting characters >Tons of upgradeable weapons >an entire open world to explore
Yeah who wants all that just give me bing bing wahoo
Just go play with your fidget spinner if all you want is something to do with your hands

What are you doing on a retro gaming board if you don't like gameplay-focused games? It sounds like modern games are more your speed, and I don't even mean that as an insult.

Anon, you're trippin. The best games are more than just boring pattern memorization and this has been true since the 1980s.
Man Wikipedia saw fit to split their games list among six pages: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Capcom_games
Good luck finding the worst one among all those.
>Haunting Ground
I don't know if I just got filtered or something but I recently tried it, thinking I'd love it as I'm a huge fan of the original RE trilogy and it looked like it would be kinda similar with the item puzzles, etc, but I ended up dropping it after a couple of hours. I'm probably not alone since the game also never got ported a billion times like almost all of the RE games. Again, it might also just be a case of me getting filtered
Nah the game just doesn't have anything to keep you interested, it probably could have been a good game but as it is it just feels like a series of puzzles where you walk around with a dog. It is a puddle of a game that has no focus or point.
It only got love because it was a more puzzle oriented game when capcom was pushing everything into a more action focused direction.
The Japanese version didn't fix the handling, the US version broke it. Apparently it was some sort of response to the game being "too easy" but they decided to just break the game's legs instead of improving the AI.
Nah, at least X6 isn't fundamentally broken. To me the most egregious thing X7 right off the bat were Zero's air slashes, you get thrown towards if you move while attacking in the air and almost always you collide against an enemy.
The only correct answer. I know we are talking /vr/ only but I haven't played various Dead Rising and Lost Planet sequels but for some reason something tells me they are equally as bad
There's something about Lost Planet's sound design and feel that makes it fun. I thought the biggest problem it had was masses of smoke obscuring practically everything. I wonder if there's a way I can just shut that shit off in the PC version. If there is I'd seriously consider playing it again.
I bounced off Dead Rising. I never felt like I understood what I was doing and I fricked up most challenges. I guess you're supposed to play it like a roguelike?

FRICK YOU
Capcom Fighting Evolution.
ROM leak of Capcom Fighting All-Stars when?
I recall on its release everyone played it for 1 week then instantly went back to cvs2.
that's cheating. they all dabbled in fmv shit at some point in the expectation that it might take off, much like they're doing now with VR
Street Fighter 3. Anyone who actually likes it is extremely mentally ill.
I feel sorry for you.
New Generation does genuinely suck ass, but 2nd Impact and 3rd Strike are great.

This but unironically. If I wanted story and character development I'd play a different series. Or better yet read a book or watch a movie.

Of the ones I've played Clock Tower 3 is probably the worst. For that matter so is Haunting Grounds.

It's PN03 and you all damn well know it.
>classic RE on steroids
It was pretty good considering its development.
I find Auto Modellista generally shit.
Apparently the jap version fixed the god awful turning
So I looked into this.

X6 Is worse, X7 is at least funny bad
While I am inclined to agree to you, I would propose that at least X6 has good music.

All X games suck compared to NES megamen.
Resident Evil Survivor was pretty reviled, but looking back that might have been since they removed light gun support
You can play it on Wiistation now with light gun support with the wiimote.
what do you mean, can you explain?
all of the resident evil remakes
street fighter (the first one) or megaman soccer.
Did you play SF1 on release? If not I don't feel you have any right to judge it.
Resident Evil 4

Correct, yet controversial answer.
