What’s with all the 6-10 hour-long “““Quick””” Retrospectives about specific videogames or game franchises all over YouTube?
They all feel like audiobooks, or one-way podcasts.

They are just used as background noise. People (zoomers, boomers, genx) cannot live without constant stimuli. It's easy entertainment, but ultimately pointless
copout answer
I can't focus on multiple things at once so I almost always do stuff in silence and even when I listen to music I usually try focusing on it
It must be fun living alone, I'm envious
>People
>names all currently alive people
Ok
I wanted to clarify that ALL generations are affected by this, Ganker usually only bullies zoomers. Anyway, video essays are fricking moronic and it took me an essay about Deus Ex Human Revolution to realize it. I only play 5 or 6 games a year and do not keep up with trends or overanalize shit, why should the opinion of a no-life affect me? Specially when they begin to criticize aspects as objective truths, when it's just their opinion.
Anyways, stop using the internet, I'm way happier since I uninstalled all social media, YouTube on my phone and Reddit went under, play some fricking games by yourself
never seen those. i assume you watched some and now you get those recommended
I watched one guy do 20 minutes videos on GTA, liked three of them, then I was bombarded with hours-long analysis things on all of my interest. I got a 9 hour GTA series retrospective, smaller 1-2 hour retrospectives on individual GTA titles, and several 9-10 hour videos on the Elder Scrolls series.
>There are people out there that let Youtube track and dictate what they watch
I *got* 6-10 hours videos, doesn’t mean I *watched* said videos. My search history is disabled to not allow “catering to my taste”, as the site puts it.
soillenials don't have opinions so they need to be told what to think by youtube videos
I thought the hot and hip buzzword was zoomers
because other people dumb
me smart
kind of nice if its analysis
not if its reading quest line scripts out loud
overestimating the time anyway
to be honest not my prob
in my head Nick is like 3ft tall, basically a fox on its hind legs, while Fox is closer to 5ft
and they have sex
Amateurs tend to be excessively verbose for a few reasons:
>no editor trimming down the script
>no willingness to throw away work to redo it better
>no restraint, they like to hear themselves talk and don't know when to stop
People mostly watch them for background noise, like podcasts, or to circlejerk over specific opinions, as was the case for that Mitosis gay.
In conclusion, I want to frick that fox.
>>no willingness to throw away work to redo it better
So true, I hate when they make a speech mistake and then just lazily write it correctly on the screen instead of recording that part again.
Foxxo sexxo
Good background noise for other activities. SuperRAD just dropped a 12 hour oblivion video I am an hour into.
This is a meme. I don't believe people who make those are actually serious about the subject.
I watched a 8 hour retrospective on Bomberman because I had always been curious about the series, and the video was in depth and informative.
That's one of the good ones, especially as, like the guy pointed out, there really wasn't a lot of readily available info/lore in English.
How?
>Youtube video is 10-15 minutes long
It's kinda funny, remember back when everyone was complaining about ten minute long videos being everywhere because of ad revenue or whatever?
10:01 long videos, specifically.
Are you people degenerates or did the animators actually design her to be lust-provoking?
>Judy has killer thighs and butt and just happens to wear some spandex-type thing that shows them off perfectly when literally every single other police officer wears normal fatigues
>the giant buff tiger backup dancers wearing teeny tiny glitter shorts
>the entire naturist club scene
I don't think it's possible to watch Zootopia and somehow not realise that the team was full of furry horndogs.
People nostalgic for a franchise they loved and younger people who are interested but not willing to buy the games watch them. They also go in details about the development which can be interesting.
I miss the early 2010's machinima days bros. Now everybody wants to do a deep dive video essay that's 45 minutes long
YouTube pays based on amount of time watched. They encourage long form content.
(And then also have shorts which goes directly against that but that's besides the point)
So now every videogame enjoyer in his basement with Opinions™© is making long essays because making AVGN clones isn't cool enough anymore, and all it takes is rambling at a microphone about why game YOU LIKE is SO COOL
All i knowis, judy love human men (me)
Furryism is no different than other natural order redefining ideologies such as homosexualism and transexualism. You unknowingly work for the israeli dialectic. Fricking die.
Friendly reminder that pic related is the oldest statue ever found, clocking in at 35-40,000 years old.
