The Gym leader last Pokemon theme when they tera their Pokemon. With none of the other major fights having it or an equivalent it made the gym fights feel way cooler than the other battles even with them being easy.
The gym leader saying their piece, terastallizing their pokemon while the theme starts and then terastallizing my pokemon in response is peak Pokemon.
Every gen is better with a last Pokemon theme, with the ones that actually have it resulting in really cool gym fights.
That’s my least favorite song in the game because it’s clearly a soulless rehash of the SwSh gym leader theme, down to the crowd chanting. It just lacks originality.
For a recent example, I really, really like the Loyal Three's battle theme too
I thought it'd be somewhat unpopular like my other favorite songs from this gen are, but from what I've seen it's actually the most popular song from Teal Mask, so I'm glad.
Yeah it's either this or this one right here that I really wish you could choose for battles because it's a crime that it only plays during one segment.

Anon, there's a reason for that. Toby composed "Tera Raid Battle!", "Academy Ace Tournament", and "Battle! Lab Zero". He also composed "Area Zero", which was rearranged by Ichinose. He also composed a 'majestic' track for the song "Academy", and it got moved to a field theme instead. He didn't say which one.
This. I can't stop listening to it, it's final boss music done fricking right. The leitmotifs are fricking perfect cause it's not literally just the same melody and tempo, they're slightly changed.
