One of my players has become infatuated with an amazoness cannibal warlord so now we just mock him as a voregay. If the players aren't wanting to sexualize the things in the game then you're doing a poor job of describing them.

It’s going to happen no matter what you do, sadly. Maybe if you make a race that’s inherently attractive like Drow to draw the attention of your players away from the other races it might help, but it’s a long shot.

I would be surprised given the races I make usually are non-humanoid aliens.

I accept it as an inevitability and so work out their anatomy and reproductive habits in advance so that the players are forced to work with something nonhuman if they insist on getting jiggy with it. Seahorse-inspired aquatic marsupials with females that evert their clitorises into pseudo-penises with which to transfer the joey to the male’s pouch are one of the more notable cases, and also oddly popular as romance options.
When designing my character races, I fantasize them having hot lesbian orgies before I go to bed.

X race female paired with a human male is the most boring and unsexy thing possible. Even just making the human a female would make it infinitely better. Human males need a huge penalty to charisma in interspecies situations in every system.

They are sexual beeigns in universe. Most of the reproduce sexually, there are in universe people wanting to frick them.
I'd actually consider that a success, since it means players are invested enough to actually think about the races, which implies I've done at least something right when designing them.
Though I find it funny that when I have shared the races for my science fiction setting here, the one people seem to sexualize most isn't the obligatory "technicolor space-babes" race (i.e. Twileiks, Asari, etc.) but the giant completely nonhumanoid bugs.
