In some ways Wrath, in other Legion. Some may argue Vanilla was the best. Everything else doesn't matter or sucks balls like Shadowlands.

TBC and vanilla, the only thing that came after were turbo streamlined cazualized piles of feces for sub 110-iq morons and other skinnerbox-attracted types of subhumans made by morons like ghostcrawler and whatever the name of the current greek dev in charge is

    not worth playing at all

This. Vanilla was awesome and TBC iterated on it, with only mistake of adding flying.

      >TBC and vanilla, the only thing that came after were turbo streamlined cazualized piles of feces
TBC and Vanilla had by far the most braindead gameplay in the entire history of the game, though. rotations were 1 button and bosses had no mechanics. It wasn't until Wrath that raids expected anything from players at all.

Mists of Panderia was objectively the best expansion, despite the howling poltards.

objectively speaking it was patch 3.3 as that was the culmination of the Warcraft 3 story that a large chunk of WoW players were holding on for, after that there ceased to be excuses to linger on and people began to leave (also was true for the team itself). in terms of gameplay, the patches i recall having the biggest highs were 2.4, 3.1, 3.3, and 5.4. classic and legion were both shit btw!

Raiding? Cataclsym, first tier was the pinnacle.
Leveling? Legion because of the weapon and overall theme.
Combat design? Somewhere between Wrath and Cata, depending on what you spec you played. Feral Druids were incredible in Wrath, Fire Mage was great in Cata, etc..
PVP? Vanilla, when wow didnt give a shit.

Nothing even comes close to vanilla’s leveling, especially not legion’s cringe solo scenarios made by a gay furry who played with a tablet

I played during Vanilla, Pandaria, Wolo, and Legion.

Legion is the only time I ever had fun, so I'd say that was where it peaked.
