>Patron nerfs
yeah this was it for me
deck had a sub 50 winrate on ladder and was only good if you were skilled, and was extremely cheap to make (iirc it had no legendaries or epics)
got nerfed because forsen mentioned it as a reason for quitting in an interview
did he play again after the nerf? of course not, he was bored of the game, not any specific deck
I quit as soon as they nerfed gadgetzan auctioneer. someone told me to come back for patron warrior but I knew it was going to get nerfed too and didn't bother. then I went to shadowverse but they nerfed dimension shift. why do these games hate combo decks so much?
Been playing since naxx, quit during the odd/even decks era, when they nerfed equality.
There was a period when all the classes I played turned into midrange curveout sludge and I just couldn't be assed anymore. Zero regrets.
This - the second I got matched against a stacked deck and- I lost interest. There’s no strategy I could have used to win - I t’s just every single one of my cards is worse. And there’s nothing I can do but pay a bunch of money and hope for the best.
A little while after Battlegrounds released. Battlegrounds beta was fun, but I knew something was up with it when balance was all over the place and they didn't know how to monetize it. That and keeping up with every expansion just to run into the same 2-3 decks for months got boring.
When Patron Warrior was nerfed, must have been 10 years ago. The deck had under 50% winrate because it was actually sort of difficult to play. I don't understand why it had to go.
they rebuffed warsong commander if you wanna give it a test drive in casual. there are other decks using the warsong commander and MY BLADES BE THIRSTY combo as well
right after naxx released. vanilla hearthstone was fricking awesome, especially arena. if they'd have made more incremental development off that base game i would still be playing today. but they started adding gay mechanics like discovery that allows for generating cards from any class, completely defeating the purpose of classes in the first place. you can't play around cards which used to be a huge part of the game. game is so trash now it's barely recognizable, many such cases
>try playing reno elemental shaman in wild with the new miniset cards because fun >Druid OTK bullshit, Mage OTK bullshit, Rogue OTK bullshit, Warrior OTK bullshit, hyper aggro Pirate Rogue bullshit >close game
Stopped a couple of times in the past but I'm currently still playing it and hating the current meta. Frick druid, I will forever loathe druid (and it's absurd how they haven't touched paladin despite being so dominant for well over a year)
Yeah... I loved wild for the longest time but you're just gonna get fricked by the same 3-5 decks forever
The expansion after that tournament one, don't remember quite what caused it but Blizz kept chipping away at my control warrior so one day I logged off and never went back.
Two expansions after they completely stopped doing full campaigns. It used to be that you could pay $20 in real money or in game currency and get all the cards through an interesting and fun campaign with bonus challenges.
Then they realized they could just charge paypigs for individual booster packs and make 5 times the money from that instead. I had saved up enough coins for 75 packs and still didn't even unlock half of the collection. As more expansions released it became harder to compete with all the paypigs and card powercreep.
That's when I realized the game
was turning into a soulless husk of itself and never touched it since.
Miracle/Patron nerfs

Patron 100% deserved nerfs. Get fricked.
About when they started adding all the battlepass shit
when Palword released
https://store.steampowered.com/app/1623730/Palworld/
Alright this fricking shilling is becoming way too obvious now.
>shilling
proof? I just really liked the game
Whichever one was the last before the Gurabashi Arena one
I deleted my Blizzard account after Blitzchung
No you didn't
Same.
Shudderwock
Quest Mage
Druid
I dont mind losing to aggro or fast combo otk decks like mine rogue because its fast losing and easy to forget
It blows my mind that people(?) spent more than 10 hours and more than $10 on this mobile game
When my free to play build couldn't consistently win anymore. I stopped caring

This except Magic the Gathering and SBMM instead of the cards being better
exactly 5.482 seconds before i started.

literally because an eceleb said it made him quit

>i quit right after naxx
>because of a mechanic that was added years after naxx
??????????
that's one example, yes
oh shit naxx is out
OOO! Black folk behind you!

Reno elemental
Shuddertard are you?
No. Kalimos is my boy.

people barely even plays paladin even though its powerful its no fun
The expansion after that tournament one, don't remember quite what caused it but Blizz kept chipping away at my control warrior so one day I logged off and never went back.
when they added seasonal rotation bullshit and invalidated all my cards
this is exactly what i would expect a hearthstone player to look like. crazy.
I stopped playing a little after C'Thun came out. I used to play freeze mage, good times

I stopped completely during Sunken City but really the game has been shit since Uldum I only played on and off after that expansion dropped
when they ruined Yogg for being fun
Jade Druid. Larger man meta.
Only so much you can do with it's gameplay to keep things interesting.
KnC I thought was genuinely shit, Witchwood and Boomsday was the last straw.
