unfortunately Thief 3 goes to shit about halfway thru when it stops being about stealing shit and turns into fighting zombies and skeletons
then the last 1/3rd of the game is just straight up trash.
Thief 3 starts high and ends low cuz it needed levels like that one in Thief 2 that was fricking huge, the party one
I finished the game but it was so boring. It's far easier to play than thief 1 but frick if I can remember anything about that game except some prostitute apprentice or something.

When does it get good?
When you load into the game dumbtard.
>TOP TIER
Bafford's Manor
Song of the Caverns
Down in the Bonehoard
The Lost City
Return to the Cathedral
The Sword
>FILLER TIER
Break from Cragscleft Prison
Assassins
Thieves Guild
Mage Towers
Undercover
The Haunter Cathedral
I wish the maw of chaos had a daring escape sequence after foiling Constantine's plan. Awkwardly staring at his corpse for a few seconds until the game congratulated me on completing the mission felt a bit anticlimactic.
>losing progress
Why would you lose progress? Getting caught doesn't mean you have to start over unless it's one of the two missions in the series where you're forced to ghost.
i will never understand how people get filtered by a game as amazing perfect as TDP. Is it people that grew up with constant access to a GPS getting lost?
The paranormal levels are complex labyrinths with completely apeshit geometry where you don't need to worry about stealth but instead purely focus on your wits and utilities. They are true brainlet filters.
Highest, because lower difficulty options remove some of the objetives. Don't worry about it, this is coming from someone moronic enough to spend hours playing the same mission, granted that I really enjoyed every minute of it.
DO NOT PLAY ON EXPERT on your first playthrough, it's too frustrating, mix of normal/hard/expert depending on the level is the best way to play for the first time

there is no point in playing it if it isn't the highest difficulty. you'll miss out
I got filtered by Thief Gold at the Thieve's Guild level. I unironically got lost, and it still stings because I rarely drop games. I would just like to say that the Bonehoard level or whatever it's called was peak spookykino and I greatly enjoyed it
Now that I think about it I'm quite in between games at the moment maybe I should give it another crack.
Unpopular opinion: Deadly shadows is extremely fun.
Also, why are the hammerites so cool bros? I just love the whole aesthetics and zealot thing they got going on.
cool speech, devoted to a cause, solid religious structure, and they're actually relevant to opposing a force of chaos. Like if demons were daily attacking people in the open and priests rolled up with guns to stop that shit.

I couldn't even finish the tutorial mission in Thief 3, the gameplay was absolutely terrible compared to the previous games
>pull yourself up a ledge
>the animation glitches out at the end and throws you on top of a patrol
I was so mad every time it happened.
I finished the game but it was so boring. It's far easier to play than thief 1 but frick if I can remember anything about that game except some prostitute apprentice or something.

Song of the caverns is shit? The only good thing is the interesting environment but the level it's is garbo.
back to plebbit with you
Thief 1 has a lot of shit levels but the first few are good.
should i skip thief 1 and play 2 instead?
I would suggest playing through Thief 1 at least once, so you can appreciate Thief 2 better.
No, are you a fricking idiot?
thief 1 is a better game
thief 2 is just a buglar simulator, thief 1 is timeless uniquely innovating classic

I enjoy Into the Maw of Chaos but I wouldnt even qualify it as a Thief level, it's just an interesting rush to the finish line kind of place.
I wish the maw of chaos had a daring escape sequence after foiling Constantine's plan. Awkwardly staring at his corpse for a few seconds until the game congratulated me on completing the mission felt a bit anticlimactic.
here 🙂
cragscleft, assassins and thc are not "filler tier" missions and also you wrote down thieves' guild twice lol. at least you're a bonehoard appreciator
>thieves' guild twice lol.
yeah it was on purpose, it's just that bad.
>Lost City and Return to Cathedral better than Cragscleft and Assassins
Bafford's Manor
when you stop save scumming
Frick that. A few checkpoints per mission is the way to go. Losing lots of progress is an absolute fun killer.

Death anon.
after the tutorial
This game is a dnd rogue simulator, with that in mind everything makes sense.
>skin walkers try killing me when I'm stealing
frick off
i will never understand how people get filtered by a game as amazing perfect as TDP. Is it people that grew up with constant access to a GPS getting lost?
It's underage morons that think the game should play like oblivion.
every thief game starts out good until the stupid fricking paranormal bullshit

Those are the best levels, though?
you clogged the filter
technically it should be liked morrowind
didnt take much to make morons out themselves
Why is it that every time someone is getting filtered by a genuine old classic it's a bethesda moron?
Bethesdagays have never played a good video game so they simply do not know what to do when they get one.
touched your mother's pussy to make sure my cum leaked out
it's impossible to actually talk about games without you homosexuals interrupting
if you've never broken into the heart of Vivic and stolen everything from their coffers then you can't even call yourself a thief
>a game as amazing perfect as TDP
looking glass stays supreme (frick john romero)
the first half of the games. try thief 2
>thief games are for homosexuals
never, stealth games are inherently boring
>I don't like hitman contracts and blasting gays in the head
It wasn't made for zoomers.
On what difficulty should I play on if its my first time playing?
normal
Highest, because lower difficulty options remove some of the objetives. Don't worry about it, this is coming from someone moronic enough to spend hours playing the same mission, granted that I really enjoyed every minute of it.
it's true.

in gladly my mom bought me starcraft instead of these games back in the 90s
your mom bought you thi4f in the 90s? anon i think it's time to disown her...
We've all seen the infopic but what are some actually good mods for 1 and 2?
>get to Sabotage at Soulforge
>the little remaining motivation I had to finish the game is gone
Every level after Life of the Party is fricking shit.
Skip thieves guild, it sucks ass.
I like TDP more than TMA.
When you stop being a moron
it doesn't
I have Thief Gold but I downgraded to TDP because I heard the extra levels are just not worth it, did I do it wrong?
No. Most of the new levels go on way way too long and break the pacing too much.
new levels are fine, thieves' guild is just a bit too anal, also you can skip the added levels
play gold
I feel like I like the style of 1 more, but 2 has better levels.
heres ur final level bro
Kínó
Still better than Soulforge.
I have more space devoted to thief fanmissions than all my other games combined.
I have like 60-70, there only so many that are worth playing
still waiting for the black parade

you wont learn to not get lost if you dont challenge yourself.
Bro don't feel too bad that level is shit and worst of it, it's filler shit.
You can skip levels.
