The Graphic Novel is way too long for it to a have an animated series. It would have taken 2 seasons and a OVA to do the story justice. The 8 episodes we got is the best we will ever get.
I mean look at Invincible. Many arcs already got skipped. many characters and many moments got cut out and we're already nearly half way done with the series.
