D2R. D2 has always been my favorite video game, and D2R looked beautiful while also promising quiet a few QOL changes. Apart from a couple of nitpicks, the game came out nearly perfect and my excitement was properly rewarded.

It really felt like playing through a well-written movie/novel. The outdated visuals did not hold the game back. If anything, they made it charming. I was genuinely excited to come back and play.

Transformers Fall of Cybertron. I use to be such a massive fricking transformers dork. Just finished War for Cybertron(good ass game, replayed the coop campaign so many times with randos) when they released the first teaser for the next game which teased grimlock. Then we got two amazing CGI trailers. Then the game came out and it was an amazing finale to the duology, and it is pretty well everything you could want in a transformers shooter.

The last game on that I was excited for was either Galaxy 2, Wii Sports Resort, Sin and Punishment: Star Successor or Red Steel 2. All I know is that it was later in Wii's lifespan.
