They're given financial incentive. None of this organic. Blackrock is the main investor for most of these video game companies, and Blackrock has a score system in which companies that play by their rules get more investment dollars to play with. Going to this consulting firm and allowing them to change your game's story gives you more of those points, which in turn gives the company more funding for their game. It's a very, very corrupt system that places ideology above both profit and art, since Blackrock doesn't actually have any stake in whether or not the game is profitable. They only want to push their vision for humanity's future through entertainment.
