Anything higher would kill DQ in Japan in the long run since it will no longer be for everyone.

The whole thing is stupid anyway. Since Dragon Quest as a series has already had plenty of dark and adult themes like murder, sacrifice, suicide, cucking, affairs, etc. And the way they have it expressed through NPCs or implication makes it even more powerful than most games that just show sex and violence and get an M rating.
