i was a borderlands tard until pre sequel. got so unbelievably bored i didn't even finish the normal mode when i ran though true vault hunter dozens of times and UVHM mode bl2 times 100 more(mostly for the xp grind to 72). I went back and i still had a good time getting a roland to 69, but i get why people don't like them. I love the designs and even the world building was pretty decent with extremely fun unique loot that doesn't stat pad the frick out of everything like modern loot games with +5 to this +2 to this while under effect blah blah blah. I know im not in the minority however, the first 2 games actually sold incredibly well. only reason there even getting a movie.

Im thinking about the low lightning and generally grey style of the clothing Sure it's realistic, but they all blend together in a bland soup. These games, particular Borderlands has a very distinct style with colors that pop out at you. I think the One Piece one had some distinct color and life to it. But take Witcher for example, it's like they looked at the games and tried to recreate Geralt as close as possible (I know they used the books, but they very clearly used the chainmail shoulder plates armor of 3) then almost every single other character's look and clothing was thrown in at random.

Haven't watched movies in years, so correct me if i'm wrong, but maybe the reason why the didn't hire younger and more fitting actors was because there just isn't any with a big name? Like seriously, who's this generation's Arnold, Harrison Ford, Clint Eastwood, Kurt Rusell, etc?
For this movie nah it's more like they probably figured they could afford Cate Blanchett who loves doing dumb nerd shit.
But they've seriously talked about this as a problem even like 20 years ago. That with the rise of franchise flicks people don't go see movies with actors the same way people would go see a Tom Cruise or Julia Roberts movie back in the 90s. Nobody watches a Tom Holland movie, or a Chris Hemsworth movie, they want to go see superhero flicks.
Kramer vs Kramer, a drama about a family gonig through a divorce, starring Dustin Hoffman and Meryl Streep was the highest grossing film of 1979, beating Superman(Superman was technically higher but it released at the end of 1978 so most of its gross was in that year), Amityville Horror, Rocky 2, Apocalypse Now, Alien, etc. Could you imagine that shit today? More people going to see Marriage Story with Adam Driver and Scarlett Johannson in 2019 over Avengers Endgame?
