I know you're taking the piss, but I played it ages and ago and plenty of the enemies are little girls and even on the steam trailer they mix "the bag" with "the swimsuit" on a flat chested little girl. Steam just has 0 consistency because it's entirely based on which employee is checking the game.

If you have a 3DS I'd personally recommend the Untold versions for 1 & 2 and the original EO3. But otherwise got for it
The prices for the full collection are pretty crazy though so I'd say get just EO3 if you want one to play or wait on a sale

In that case you can pick either. The HD games are truer to the originals while the Untold games adds stuff like a story mode and items that let you copy the skills of other characters and monsters. I think Untold 2 also changes the dungeon layout somewhat
I prefer mapping with my stylus so I'd still pick the 3DS titles but see which you prefer.

the collection as a whole are just better versions of the ds games with nice qol added (strafing for eo1 and improved icons for eo2, faster ui and gameplay in general). the mapping controls does take getting used to and feels slow vs using the ds touchscreen but others have said using a mouse or handheld mode improved for them.
that being said, you should absolutely wait for a sale or pirate. for leafs like me, it's 105(+$10 tax) fricking disneyland bucks. and the american pricing doesn't look appealing either.
for which game to start with, any of them after 2 is good but I'd recommend 4 or 5 since both are very newbie friendly and have a "for morons" difficulty. play on expert if you want the intended experience.
Are there any good shiren the wanderer-like games around? I played through most of the DS titles that existed and 3ds ones. I'm not exactly looking for a dungeon crawler like EO, I wish there were more in the same style as shiren

It doesnt look unique, it looks like a mishmash of Persona and SMT. Atlus can't make anything new
