How can you possibly get lose in a game that regularly closes off the path you came from after upgrades so that you're forced to go where it wants you to instead of grab power ups?
>babby's first metroidvania which by metroidvania standards is the most on-rails
This board is officially fricking dead with the amount of tourists that come here.
I know I'll beat Raven Beak in a few tries like the other bosses, but I don't think I have it in me. I get so mad at video games. Might trade this in. Just can't be bothered with it anymore. I hate video games. They just stress me out.

The final boss is the best part of the game, felt like a true skill test. I appreciated the uncompromised intensity of it. I’m not even particularly great at videogames but it was a serious rush for me
Linear platformers can be fun depending on their gameplay mechanics
Metroidvanias you can get lost in (aka not Dread, OP is a homosexual) are fun
Empty open world games are not fun
bro you might actually be moronic. like, not trying to be mean or anything, you just might actually have literal brain damage. metroid dread is a masterclass on how to gently guide the player along the proper path the entire game. it's amazing for a first playthrough.
There should always be an indication or hint somewhere in the environment or map that you can go back to that will show you where to go next or a secret near by in modern metroidvanias.
Fake walls and pits are outdated game design that where literally put in to sell game guides to find all the secrets.
huh? literally the most streamlined metroid game and this anon got filtered fricking lol
>the most streamlined metroid game
no? did you play any metroid game othee than super?
the game was very confusing, poor map design and no quest markers, it is never clear where you should go
It was very railroaded, have you never played a proper metroidvania before?
look at al these cucks trying to justify shit game design lol
yeah you can metroidvania these nuts buddy
Frick off jaffe
now you buy hollow knight which is 1/4 the price with 10x the content and 4x the fun
>and 4x the fun
1/20th the fun with the janky animation and reused assets
Staying true to the OG Metroid design
Playing it now. I hate it.
The controls are fricky and sometimes the spin jump and the dash just do not work.
That's normal for a Metroid game.
>open map, look for a room with an unexplored door
>go there
Congratulations you solved the only puzzle in the Metroidvania genre.

It constantly locks off areas and drops obstacles behind you, how the frick can you not know where to go.

Try being metroid other M but not suck
Use picrel as a mold
>People forget about one of Valve's most fun games
Shame
Same with DoD
I'm still stuck on the final boss. I've lost my touch.

>Get lost in a completely linear platformer.
I'm starting to figure out why a loud minority of Ganker is opposed to open world games.

Your IQ is lower than 80. You can close the thread now.
you think your IQ is 100 and you are a scientist because you beat a shitty poorly designed videogame?
