There's a mod that lets you choose the percentage of genders for your recruits. In the game it's 50/50 whether your soldier is a man or a woman, so I set it to 1%. It's kind of a brilliant mod because it can't be called sexist when it lets you change the genders the other way too
* [WOTC] Cost-Based Ability Colors - shows which actions are free, half-turn and end-turn. This is especially useful when you fight Alien Rulers. No new info is shown, just clarifying existing.
* [WotC+Classic] TacticalUI KillCounter - instead of using pen and paper. It will ONLY show the total number of enemies when you've build the ShadowChamber.
* Show Me The XP - instead of using pen and paper
* WOTC Show Enemies and Terrain on Mission Planning - instead of using pen & paper. After you build the Shadow Chamber, the info is also shown on your squad set-up screen.
* [WOTC] New Promotion Screen by Default - streamlines the UI
* [WotC] Better Tactical Zoom Out - faster overview
* WotC Enhanced AoE Preview - gives you faster info on what grenades will hit or not
* Smart Overwatch All [WotC] - press one key instead of many
* [WotC] Gotcha Again - improves on the Line of Sight indicators. The most apprciated mod IMHO! 🙂
* [WOTC] Free Reload Anytime - you can choose to reload with half an action or use the free action.
* [WOTC] Hours Instead of Days - this might be a little cheesy but I dislike unclear mission times.

I thought about admonishing you but based on the trajectory of Xcom2, War of the Chosen and Chimera squad you aren't wrong, as much as I loathe to admit it.
>he left us when we needed him the most
You know he once said that he wanted to make a tactics game about monsters vs vampire hunters. And now we'll never get it. I think he said he's gonna make a Minecraft-type game or some shit instead
>everyone on Ganker tells me Xenonauts is kinda shit >everyone on Ganker tells me that they're incredibly excited for Xenonauts 2 >look it up >it looks exactly the same
Explain this to me
XCOM 2 was a game i considered a no brainer for getting a sequel. Surely Firaxis had one in the works, how could they not?
Turns out i was wrong and we can't have nice things happen too often.
After I finish my current project (just gotta finish writing up the licencing shit and do a small tweak to teh title screen) I'll be starting a spiritual successor. Will fire up a patreon (with $0 tier so people can follow) so I can potentially fulltime dev on it - weekly updates with streamed dev sessions is the plan. Will have nerds come in and shit on the code. Not gonna think about art for a while though. Will focus on making the gameplay solid.
You don't have to believe in me, because I do. Just know that you knew before everyone knew.
Upcoming tactics games >Tactical Breach Wizards >Metal Slug Tactics >Shadow Gambit >Xenonauts 2 >Project Haven >Skald: Against the Black Priory
To earnestly answer your question:
Tactical Breach Wizards >made by the dev of Gunpoint and Heat Signature. Worked on it for a long time, the likelihood of it being good is very high
Shadow Gambit >the devs have made two very similar games that were very good, Shadow Tactics and Desperados 3. The new one is easier and has much more freedom which can be a bad thing, but it's very likely to please fans
Metal Slug Tactics >made by experienced devs. Have been radio silent for a long time. Somewhat likely it's good, but it could also be in dev hell
Xenonauts 2 >devs have worked on it for a long time, trying to improve on a game that's already decent. Likely to be good I would say
Project Haven >clunky demo. It's a small team trying to achieve something very difficult; having an aiming system in a tactics that works. I wouldn't bet on it turning out well
Skald >Just a solo-dev game I've been following. The art and story are the main draws, but the combat could turn out good. Interesting game for crpg fans to follow
Recommend mods for Xcom 2
ODST cosmetics, and nothing else.
why not
RPG overhaul is fun but not terribly balanced
>RPG overhaul
>Covert Infiltration overhaul
>AI overhaul
>double HP for all units
Time to game.
i have a long list but i dont know how to share it lol
copy paste tends to work pretty well for me

What mod? I want my 5 ranger waifu harem

Lwotc is good
homie please
They seem to genuinely like marvel capeshit, so no.
I thought about admonishing you but based on the trajectory of Xcom2, War of the Chosen and Chimera squad you aren't wrong, as much as I loathe to admit it.
Now that I think of it: how the frick is there not a total conversion ODST squad tactics mod yet?
Chimera squad killed it.
I'll stick to Open Xcom Extended, thanks
I never saw the fun in that
all the aliens and your soldiers mostly seem the same so there's no real diversity
>mutants
>bug eyed hybrids
>robots
>catgirls
>kenshiro
>killbots
>sexy robot infiltrators with knife hands
>runaway princesses with magic powers
>slave soldiers
>child soldiers
>federal agents
You're moronic.
>he left us when we needed him the most

>moron goes into troony obsession mode
sweetie, I know the trannies have invaded your brain but I was talking about how they mostly all PLAY the same outside of one or two gimmicks
>too moronic to make your own "classes" so you need the game to do it for you
You're not just moronic, you're also have gay cancer.
>xe/xir tries to start a flame war because xe/xir is obsesed with trannies
Sweetie, again, wasn't talking about the trannies
Didn't the guy who came up with nu-com quite the company a while ago?

No, Xcom and Xcom 2 were pretty much passion projects of the developers carried aloft by very strong fan reception.

Slug Tactics
God you know that's going to stripped of any and all soul.
>Into the Breach with white characters
I like it
and Jagged Alliance 3
Add End State andUrban Strife
Why End State? They're claiming that it will be done within the year yet the people who bought it in early access are saying it barely has any content
Of course they won't finish it this year. But the skeleton is great.
This said, I saw a lot of potential too in the Phoenix Point alpha.
And how many of them will be good?

I read that as "Metal bawd Tactics".
>xenonauts 2
hahahahahahahahaha
All your bros who game your a bro game are broing out elsewhere. Still making games, still being total bros. Open your eyes Ganker. Grow as a person.
I don't trust nu-Firaxis with the XCOM franchise anymore. Especially after troony Squad.
Didn't you make the same thread like 6 hours ago?
No lol
Surely a mere coincidence?
We have an XCOM thread like every 3 days u monkey
Don't try to act stupid. This thread discusses the same subject. It's not the usual X-COM discussion.
I don't want an xcom 3 after the disaster that was chimera squad
just play openxcom instead
They should take a page out of the marioXrabids games.
what would they include in xcom 3 that changes the game in a meaningful way?
Is Showgunners any good? Just learned of it
you can play OpenXcom instead
just downloaded xenonauts any tips
shoot the aliens
Any mods to let you recruit the sneks
Theres the one that let you have Viper King as a squadmate, and he even gets his own abilities and shit
There should be some for female snakes too (I hope)
Xcom probably sells so much worse than Civilization that they can't justify wasting time working on one
What about mods to tell the chosen not to be a thing?
there's an option for that when you start a new campaign
da fuq?
i liked xcom 1 but not xcom 2
I hate aliens so fricking much bros I am still mad about those spinoff games
Hey Bradford.
There's an Xcom gatcha game, there's your Xcom 3
The Marvel game flopping caused a lot of Xcom veterans to be fired. Doubt that Xcom 3 if there even is one would be any good.
