Erika being an absolute dogshit hire like holy frick what was her problem? Even Surge was an butthole but he still did his job. Erika arbitrarily just refused a challenge over hurt feelings :~~*~~*

I don’t think Erika was the one who wouldn’t challenge him, it was her gym trainers that kept kicking Ash out

How many Kanto badges did Ash actually earn by beating the gym? Brock, Surge and Blaine? Maybe the Earth Badge if beating Team Rocket with Giovanni's Pokemon counts.

He didn’t beat Brock. Anyways he beat Surge, Kogha, Blaine, and Team Rocket legit.

      >Brock
Sprinklers lol, but that’s Brock’s fault.
      >Misty
      Team Rocket interrupts
      >Surge
      Ash won.
      >Erika
      Team Rocket interrupts
      >Koga
Team Rocket interrupts but Ash ends up winning
      >Sabrina
      Haunter saves Ash’s ass
      >Blaine
      Ash won
      >Giovanni
      Lol

        >Giovanni
Funniest thing is that Ash never beat him. Their first actual battle was in BW and that Persian one shot Pikachu. Never got a rematch or anything.

        >Surge
        >Ash won.
Technically yes, but it was Brock that devised a strategy for him, so it wasn't particularly earned. He just followed a walkthrough.

        >Koga
        >Team Rocket interrupts but Ash ends up winning
He had two separate battles with Koga, a 2-on-2 that got interrupted by Team Rocket halfway through and a 1-on-1 afterwards that he won.

I prefer that by a long shot over Brock and Misty giving Ash advice or instructions mid battle like they do at the Indigo League and Orange League.

Yeah, that's moronic, should've have got him disqualified. Audience members sending hidden signals is the main method of cheating in chess and is really fricking forbidden, but this show has audience members just scream advice out loud.

They were referred to as Ash's "coaches" by the referee during the league so apparently it IS allowed but only for the battles that take place before the main stadium or top 16 iirc

what kinda grass gym doesn't have a sprinkler system? he earned that badge for fixing Erika's frick up, how did she leave gloom in the gym I thought it was her favorite you'd think she'd grab it before running out. even if team rocket didn't set off a bomb that place was a fire hazard waiting to happen, one stray fire blast and that thing goes up in smoke.

As a general reminder, in the anime each region has more cities than just the ones we visit in the games, so there are more gyms for the types without badges, and so trainers can earn others, or even more than eight if they want. Rivals are allowed to visit these gyms offscreen.

We’re posting characters ash never beat? Okay let me post the most iconic one imo.

This one is especially idiotic because they went out of their way to give Ash a rematch with him many episodes later when he returns to Mauville only for him to lose it.

It's Watson's fault that his prank overcharged pikachu, who procceded to demolish his team.

They wanted to make them even with the rematch, but, it just caused Torkoal's first of many defeats.

That's not Ritchie or one of the other anime OCs Ash jobbed to in a league conference

        Anonymous

        >Richie
It was so blatantly obvious Ash was stronger than him during their battle nobody really gave a shit he never "formally" beat him
        >or one of the other anime OCs Ash jobbed to in a league conference
Alan, Tobias and the BW homosexual sure, but not the other two literal whos.

Wattson is interesting because they had Ash get a badge from him despite clearly not earning it, then gave Ash a proper rematch against him later that he LOST. Maybe people are over it now, but it was one of those things that used to bug people a lot back then.

Ash still had Pidgeotto so he would've won legitimately anyway.

      >Ash still has a full strength water type ace with super special secret bond form to face a weakened and bruised charizard, he'll surely win.
it's never a guarantee with that fella

        >opponent was a CHARIZARD
        that was the problem

        he had a PIKACHU

          Anonymous

Neither Pikachu nor Charizard was the problem with that match. The problem lies in the referee, whose judgements are the worst we've ever seen.
          >Ritchie's Butterfree uses Sleep Powder on Ash's Squirtle
          >Ref deems that as a knockout
          >Ash is out of usable Pokemon because Team Rocket wore out the Pokemon Ash planned to use in delaying him from reaching the stadium
          >He's forced to send out Charizard
          >Charizard disobeys Ash and lays down instead of fight Ritchie's Pikachu
          >Ref deems that "unwilling to battle" means "knockout"
          >Then hands Ritchie the win
Absolute fricking horseshit. Sack that fricking referee.

Kanto was full of tauroshit, but, I'm just considering the Ref was fricking tired of waiting that long for a miserable 3 vs 3.

Pidgeotto was tired because of one of the only times TR was competent enough to tire Ash's pokemon.

It's more surprising that Ash hadn't kingler, muk or tauros for back up.

If you are referring to your file name, nobody cared if you were gay in the 90s. When they realized nobody cared anymore and they were "normal" they decided to become vocal and that is where we ended up today.

If you're referring to the badge, almost every badge he earned was because of special circumstances. It's no wonder he lost the Indigo League. He wasn't ready.
