AI inference is the only individual workload that does this
I wish there was a local AI model on the level of ChatGPT, they're all moronic in comparison, and it's been impossible to jailbreak ChatGPT for about a year.
>I wish there was a local AI model on the level of ChatGPT,
try dolphin mixtral. it's slow as shit versus if you don't have top tier hardware, but it's the best one local that's actually near chatgpt coherency, and that's without it even being geared towards chatbot-ness yet. A new version based on the latest mixtral's releasing soon.
You can absolutely use 100% of 64gb ram, your vidya card, and your cpu in a variety of tech applications that aren't games. Games wise, though, there's little that isn't horrific shovelware trash that'd use this much of a good system anymore.
Stable Diffusion and kohya-ss LoRA creation
Blender when animating a certain Aerith model
Unreal Engine 5 using 4k megascan nanite assets
Any game on PCSX2 due to being a buggy unoptimized piece of shit emulator
I'd marry my 4090, but limitations exist
None fortunately, since i don't try to frick up my PC by playing waaaay too demanding videogames.
...
Anyways when i was poor as frick i had a decade old laptop that my brother gave me and i used it to play a minecraft modpack, and that modpack was so good that it bricked the laptop a few hours later.
im very close to maxing out my PCs entire expansion capabilities.
I only have a handful USB ports left, and that's after using slot covers to give me 6 more ports and using all my internal headers. I only have 2 PCIe X1 Slots left unused and its only a matter of time until those get turned into more SATA expansions.
literally the only motherboard headers left aside from those mentioned are fan and RGB headers which I don't need.
To this day, Monster Hunter World still uses 100% of my CPU and I'm not sure why. I have no understanding as to why it happens and googling it has only made me realize it could be a thousand issues and the most likely issue is Capcom's incompetence.
no you don't
if we reach that level of cpu parallelisation you'll see a revolutionary level of pajeetification to the point where you have to go out of your way and close all the background shit like it's a fricking console
dragons dogma 2 is but a taste of this
Cyberpunk 2077 added leotards?

It'll come, there's continually progress.

I still haven't found a game that uses over 14GB of RAM
That just means you don't use enough mods in your games
ARMA 3 in 4k?
ARMA 2 would break 8GB back in 2011, draw distance...
it's such a cheap way to break the hardware though vs a game like cyberpunk

If your PC doesn't sound like a jet engine when you play it, it's not a good game.

I remember the game spawned like 32 threads. It scales with almost every core that you have.
