Well yeah but that’s still just one sprite split into several body parts to make it move
Actually if anything I should have said one of DPPt’s because DPPt like Emerald uses two different sprites per mon for its animations
>I can’t back up my claims >LMAO YOU’RE JUST BLIND LOL

you're a moron
The head being in a different pose isn’t a criticism. Unless you can prove how it’s actually bad, which I am willing to hear. But at this point you haven’t actually provided that.
>The head being in a different pose isn’t a criticism
They're not in a different pose. The proportions are different. The DPPt and Gen 5 sprites look objectively terrible because they drew it wrong.

No, it just has to be drawn correctly to match what Charizard actually looks like instead of whatever they did to make that fricking abomination of a sprite.

Gen 3, the first two looks too cartoonish, gen 4 and 5 proportion are off and the 3d design are fine but the colors don't show the intensity of the fire
It looks less draconic and more caveman with the fricking brow ridge
It doesn’t look intimidating which is what I think they were going for, it looks moronic
>I-IT'S JUST DA PERSPECTIVE!
ah yes the classic cope when a moron who doesn't understand how character design works wants to defend an objectively shit drawing.
>The top is doing the exact same thing as Gen 5’s sprite
No. The bottom is.
That’s not even leaning forward anon. Now I’m convinced you’re being intentionally moronic by just saying “ITS BAD LOL AND IF YOU CANT SEE IT YOURE BLIND” and repeating ad nauseum expecting it to somehow convince anybody.
You STILL haven’t provided any criticism. You seem to think either it being too thin or too segmented is the criticism you’re going for. Let’s go step by step.
The reason for it being thin is perspective. Let’s compare the Gen 4 and 5 sprites in the OP. The Gen 4 one has larger legs and body because those are basically just as close as the head. This is different from Gen 5, where the head is leaning towards you and is thus drawn larger than the neck. This is more apparent with spatial cues in game, but you seem fixated on cropping the neck and head in isolation to prove your point, as well as applying that proportion to drawings where the head isn’t much closer to the camera than the head.
As for segmentation, look at the black line outlining the top of the neck. Its curved the exact way you wanted. Same with the bottom. I don’t see your argument on that front either.
I ask for the tenth time anon: What is your argument?
[...]
I love how you're such a b***h that not only do you not reply directly but you have to hide your post in spoiler tags. Pathetic.
already proved how it's drawn objectively incorrect despite the perspective. Its neck is literally not connected to its head the correct way because they drew it wrong. Get a better argument.

Perspective doesn't fix the neck being connected to the head the wrong way due to the neck being too thin. Get an argument please.
