If we’re talking about 1v1 gameplan, it’s actually night elves. Moonwells are crazy useful, the demon Hunter is a great hero, and dryad dispels are very useful.
I still wish Orc had the more demonic and warrior like aesthetic instead of replacing the demonic side for shamanism in 3. It makes a little bit of sense but I feel like it's been a net negative as time has gone along.
Objectively best when compared to every other race? Orc. Best in 1 vs 1? Nelf. Best in 4vs4 rt? There isn't one, just hope you don't get moronic teammates.

Pretty much this. DK + Lich is an insane combo and once they hit level 5 it's ogre. Couple that with Frost Wyrms or other units, the whole premise is to take down Undead fast.
The reason for this is that the other "races" aren't actually races.
The undead are the remnants of other races, but you could attribute most of them to dead humans and dead nerubians.
The "Orc" faction isn't actually an orc faction because it has trolls and tauren in it. And what's more is that the orcs rely upon the trolls to provide necessary healing (tauren are superfluous).
But the worst is by far the "Humans", to a greater extent than Orc. It should have been the Alliance, because it includes humans, dwarves and elves but the real issue is that the eponymous humans are, militarily, the weakest component of the faction. They have no healing like orcs, but in fact no magic at all aside from a Hero, but they also have absolutely no ranged weaponry so have no capacity to fight air units.
Now we contrast this to Night Elves, which have only a handful of units that aren't actually elven so have a basically competent roster or ranged, heavy melee, healing and support magic.

yes, reforged allows you to rollback to old graphics and bnet ladder is... playable. People still play W3Champions instead, though.
