GW2's meta running content loop is usually very friendly. I don't know about dungeons or fractals.
ESO's pvp can be very open and friendly depending on your team, guilds you join are generally very helpful if you show even a sliver of interest in participating with them.
FF despite its weird cultlike black smudge of its reddit defense force is usually pretty welcoming and friendly through most content.
NW doesn't exist.
Runescape and Lost Ark probably tie for worst.
Why wouldn't the game attract more players on Steam? Some people exclusively play on steam, and can't be assed to register on another platform to play a game. It's the biggest PC gaming platform out there.
People had a decade to try it out they're not going to do it now that it's on steam. I actually hope BDO goes f2p eventually, would really revitalize open world pvp.
i feel like it will have a decent amount (25k) then hover between 8-10k once it settles, but thats okay because the game's population is already healthy

im assuming youre using modern hardware now, if you are planning to get back into it consider getting the d912pxy mod which changes the games graphics API from dx11 (now the default as of this year) to dx12, the game will run much smoother
Probably a massive influx at the beginning then a slow taper. Modern gamers are all about muh grafix these days so it'll be hard to retain all of them.

BDO just released an expansion, probably not going f2p any time soon.
Depends how well they'll fare after TL, luckily for them it got delayed in the West.
I really doubt TL will do well the first year, it's NCSoft, and the delay already foreshadows some problems.
