I chose Charmander at first because he was the coolest. But I was a moronic 6 year old at the time who only used my starter, and had trouble with Brock and Misty. So I restarted and switched to Bulbasaur.

True. I started with Squirtle, then migrated to Bulbasaur because my 6 year old brain went Grass > Rock/Water. Eventually Charmander became my favourite though.
