They are both absolutely garbage shovelware and I am tired of ps1 babies pretendign their childhood wasn't spend on playing rancid feces between staring at a 2 minute loading screen every 5 minutes.
corridor platformers are inherently shit, its just a LOL WHAT IF MARRIO BUT 3RD PERSON/????
spyro has actual exploration and far more interesting level design because its actually designed with player curiosity in mind.
crash needs more skill sure with their max box count level clears or no death runs sure, but i'd rather take interesting level design over hallways anyday
crash is just a 2d platformer but forward and backwards instead of left to right
>LOL WHAT IF MARRIO BUT 3RD PERSON/???? >crash is just a 2d platformer but forward and backwards instead of left to right
...and that's a bad thing because...?
you cannot 100% that game unless you have a guide, but you can with crash 1-3
er but how would you know you can use those nitro crates as a stair case and go through the fricking level geometry to a secret path in that one sewer level? hmm
The nitro is visibly a sloppily painted metal crate in a level thats clearly marked as having a secret. I figured this out as a child.
If theres any to be mad about in 2, its the one in the bear pit. And if theres any to be mad about period, its Eggipus Rex.
Actually in Unbearable the stage has an extra gem, and it's the ONLY bridge in the stage that isn't shattered all the way.
You do have a point with Eggipus Rex though, I have literally 0 clue how people were supposed to figure that out.
I must have misremembered then, I thought it was in the big pit at the end of the level. Which yeah has that little cliff sticking out but the jumping animation makes it seem like its just there as a landing strip for Polar.
Oh, no I wasn't talking about back tracking to polar at the end, I was referring to the bridge that you have to jump down into to get the secret gem for the stage (pic related), not the secret exit.
Personally though I think the secret exit is a little more obvious since it throws you off and over it, but more importantly the camera rears itself forward like you're supposed to be heading back

I actually forgot those were two separate secrets, that gives me trouble every time I go back to 2.
>but you can with crash 1-3
Crash 2 and 3 have hidden garbage as well, 3 specially with the hidden levels that are somehow worse than Crash 4 hidden stuff.
How the frick were you supposed to know that you need to be killed by the second pteranodon of a secret yellow gem route in order to accessa secret level, moronic shit
I mean if that was the case where's the sequel?
Where's anyone that's actually a fan earnestly expressing that they like it and not making passive aggressive comments clearly distressed about the fact that they like something not good, but it's okay they'll call it trolling after the fact?
Why did Toys For Bob dick around for 3 years with the idea of randomly generated crash levels, only to quickly turn it into an asshomosexual at the last minute that died 6 months after it came out?
Spyro 2/3 is a good gimmicky minigame compilation unlike crash 3
Spyro 1 is boring as frick. Level design is made for toddlers, only tree tops was fun
Crash 2 is just plain kino
nah, 3 is the weakest
2 introduced minigames and forced backtracking, and 3 just doubled down on that and added even more minigames and more forced backtracking, and none of the alternate characters are all that fun to play besides Agent 9 in the remake because it finally has proper dual-stick controls
Spyro, specifically Legend Spyro because that's what I grew up with
get better taste, unironically
the Legend of Spyro games are mediocre at their best and hot trash at their worst
But why though
The first game is awful, legitimately a bunch of straight hallways with the only gameplay being "mash A until it dies"
second game wasn't much better, also it literally recycled bosses from the first game
It wasn't until the third one that it finally started getting decent, but it was still just that: "decent". Felt like a mediocre God of War clone.

>anon chooses to eat shit because it's shit that he ate as a kid
Pathetic.
Spyro 2 has more backtracking than 3, in 3 at least every single instance of mandatory backtracking can be easily skipped over with glitches.
You can also skip most of them in Spyro 2 as well, EXCEPT when the headbash is required, so you will still have to backtrack no matter what.
Crash series has better gameplay. Spyro series has better ambience. The first three Spyro games (but especially 2) have a dream like quality that I've yet to see any other game come even close to capturing.
Crash because back then platformers were my favorite genre. Crash was like a classic 2D platformer "go from A to B avoiding hazards" but on 3D.
I never liked the whole collectathon sub-genre that SM64 popularized. It's boring as frick and I'm glad it died.
I've never found crash to be fun. I love platformers, I love 2d platformers, 3d, even top down like sonic 3d blast, but something about crash always felt super off to me. I loved Spyro. I've also replayed both somewhat recently and still share the same opinion as I did as a kid, that Spyro is great and crash just feels weird and clunky
673807808 >tank controls >tank controls and some of the worst platforming physics on the PS1
(You) need to at least TRY to be subtle with (You)r bait, anon
I grew up with this
And after recently playing Spyro 1 with the Reignited Trilogy Skylanders is still better
Kaos is just more of a memorable villain than anyone in Spyro
Both were sort of after my time, in a way. I played a little Crash, none of Spyro. Around that time I was more into RPGs and fighting games and most 3D plats never grabbed me outside of Mario 64.
If I had to pick a toon mascot-type franchise to back, I'll always be a 16bit era Sonic guy. Weird fanbase aside.
nta but enter the dragonfly was the first spyro that I owned that didnt belong to my brother. I have a special attachment to it for that even if the game is hot garbage.
Spyro level design is so cripplingly simple after 1 that there's no joy to be had after you've played the game once. I used to prefer Spyro, but every time I replay the early trilogies, Crash wins me over more.
Yeah, in spyro 2/3, they simplified the level design and made almost every level enclosed and linear. No more focus on platforming and gliding long distances, just going straight forward and completing basic objectives.
I'm stunned that Elora is more popular than Bianca when it comes to lewding. Then again, not really. Spyro 2 is so much more memorable than 3. I had to look up Bianca's name.
Spyro.
I liked the open level design and larger focus on exploration.
Made it a much more comfy game.
Crash is more focused on the challenge of platforming, which I did also enjoy, but not as much.
I kinda want to go make a reddit account and put up a poll on the elden ring board to see which one they preferred, because I feel like it'd be Crash.
More than likely they're all too young to have played the originals though, and I don't think the later crash and spyro games are really the same.
Even as a kid when I got my PS1, I realized crash is just a 2d platformer but you run into the level rather side scrolling. Was very dissapointed after playing Mario 64 at a friend's house. I'd rather just play an actual 2d side-scroller than a janky 3d perspective shift one.
Spyro on the other hand felt a lot more 3d and adventerous, and I think the control-feel holds up so much better. Controlling crash, judging distances with that camera perspective, and just jumping in general feel wack in crash. Never felt it was an issue in spyro, and the charge is fun. Spyro is just a little bit too easy and basic for adults.
>i-i-i-it's a platformer!
an extremely basic one with really shitty physics that only exists to transport you in between all the minigames
shoo, contrarian moron
Pokemon did irreparable damage during this era due to the red/blue shit generating infinite $ for them. I feel so sorry for these other companies that thought they could get away with it and everyone fricking flopped hard lmao
spyro by far. crash's characters are hideous ON PURPOSE mind you except for sameface syndrome bandicoots, the world is completely uninteresting and lame, the "fanbase" (100 people in total and are the most autistic incels to ever exist) and the whole thing feels like a dollar store donkey kong. No reason to play that cringe shit when DK exists.
Spyro is unique, charming and comfy incarnate. Love the level designs, cool dragon world, and the fanbase is chill. Beautiful music too, autumn plains helps me sleep at night.
They are both absolutely garbage shovelware and I am tired of ps1 babies pretendign their childhood wasn't spend on playing rancid feces between staring at a 2 minute loading screen every 5 minutes.
Great argument. What games do you like anon?
No response, due to him choking on his cameltoe. Many such cases.
But enough about Banjo-Kazooie.
Only one has the gem licking dork.
I want to frick all of Elora's holes
Of the remakes? Spyro. Of the originals? Crash.
corridor platformers are inherently shit, its just a LOL WHAT IF MARRIO BUT 3RD PERSON/????

>its just a LOL WHAT IF MARRIO BUT 3RD PERSON/????
Where is this alleged 1st Person Mario Game
did you mean "3 Dimensional" maybe?
>LOL WHAT IF MARRIO BUT 3RD PERSON/????
Sounds kino to me.
>LOL WHAT IF MARRIO BUT 3RD PERSON/????
>crash is just a 2d platformer but forward and backwards instead of left to right
...and that's a bad thing because...?
>...and that's a bad thing because...?
because mario 64 is better than all 2d platformers
3D shatformers are terrible action adventure games. Platformers are only 2D.
Eww I hate open world games. I just want to walk in a straight line and kill shit.
Reminder Crash 4 is the best Crash by a mile and people are just mad Tawna levels and Nverted bloat
you cannot 100% that game unless you have a guide, but you can with crash 1-3
er but how would you know you can use those nitro crates as a stair case and go through the fricking level geometry to a secret path in that one sewer level? hmm
The nitro does not bounce. It's subtle but its there
The nitro is visibly a sloppily painted metal crate in a level thats clearly marked as having a secret. I figured this out as a child.
If theres any to be mad about in 2, its the one in the bear pit. And if theres any to be mad about period, its Eggipus Rex.

I actually forgot those were two separate secrets, that gives me trouble every time I go back to 2.
I don't think they were because you only needed to get 100% for the full ending, it was purely a secret level
>but you can with crash 1-3
Crash 2 and 3 have hidden garbage as well, 3 specially with the hidden levels that are somehow worse than Crash 4 hidden stuff.

>Randomly generated levels
A fantastic idea, loved by all
I mean there's at least like 10 more things wrong with Super Meat Boy Forever, before just getting into the levels being randomly generated.
The story is also shit which says a lot.
My honest opinion, one good patch could turn Crash 4 from a bad game to an okay game.
>5MM
5 million million?
Money people like to be obtuse. It's the Roman numeral M, so read it as "five thousand thousand"
Crash 2 > Spyro 3 > Spyro 2 > Crash 1 > Crash 3 > Spyro 1
Spyro 2/3 is a good gimmicky minigame compilation unlike crash 3
Spyro 1 is boring as frick. Level design is made for toddlers, only tree tops was fun
Crash 2 is just plain kino
Objectively shit taste
I remember being a kid and getting lost exploring Spyro levels. With Crash it was always one and done unless you miss something.
I appreciate spyro's visuals and music but I never cared much for the gameplay. Crash 2 is still my goat.
I like Spyro's gameplay more, but everything else about Crash is way better.
I've always found both franchises to be pretty mediocre.
Spyro because Faun sex
Inferor to the bombshell bandicoot.
lol not a chance
Crash
>has actual bandicuties
>many across the series
Spyro
>girl is for actual goat frickers like some pakistani shepherd
don't care what a pedo like you says lel
this
but Spyro 1 is better
I could stare at that webm for days
Spyro 1 is actually the best in the series and 2 is the weakest.
nah, 3 is the weakest

No. I'm still hoping for a Legend of Spyro remake

You never played Spyro.
I've beaten the originals and the remake multiple times actually
I still have all three original PS1 discs from my childhood. kys Black person
Can't argue with this honestly.
what... what was she doing at the end there?
inviting dragon dick into her faussy
I'm surprised you don't recognize that. It's the sole culprit for the existance of eloragay secondaries(as seen in this very thread).
I thought this was a Crash/Sony mascot thread when I entered...
moar.
Crash series has better gameplay. Spyro series has better ambience. The first three Spyro games (but especially 2) have a dream like quality that I've yet to see any other game come even close to capturing.
Probably Crash. The gameplay is more complex and satisfying to me.

groomer post
Crash aged better, it's still a somewhat decent platformer today. Spyro was more impressive at the time, but it's an early 3D platformer and it shows.
Crash because back then platformers were my favorite genre. Crash was like a classic 2D platformer "go from A to B avoiding hazards" but on 3D.
I never liked the whole collectathon sub-genre that SM64 popularized. It's boring as frick and I'm glad it died.
recently found out Crash 2 was one of the most popular ps1 games of all time
subway meme ruined any chances of spyro for me, sorry.
I liked Crash 2 and Spyro 1 the most. Unless we're talking spin off because I liked CTR and Crash Bash more.
I've never found crash to be fun. I love platformers, I love 2d platformers, 3d, even top down like sonic 3d blast, but something about crash always felt super off to me. I loved Spyro. >crash ruined

Neither, give me rayman
Rayman was ruined long ago as well.
Crash Bandicoot is the best 3d plattformer of all time
Behind Croc and Tomb raider right?

Sad! Many such cases.

Kaos is just more of a memorable villain than anyone in Spyro
>By the time the very first Spyro game came out all three PS1 Crash Bandicoot games had been released
How did Naughty Dog do it?
by having multiple years of head-start over Spyro?
Both were sort of after my time, in a way. I played a little Crash, none of Spyro. Around that time I was more into RPGs and fighting games and most 3D plats never grabbed me outside of Mario 64.
If I had to pick a toon mascot-type franchise to back, I'll always be a 16bit era Sonic guy. Weird fanbase aside.
For me, its gotta be Crash=Ratchet>Sly>Spyro>Jak
Spyro, specifically Legend Spyro because that's what I grew up with
I was more of a Crash guy, the only Spyro games I played were Enter the Dragon, Hero's Tail and A New Beginning.
Why did you only play the shovelware?
nta but enter the dragonfly was the first spyro that I owned that didnt belong to my brother.
Crash. I coulnd bother finishing spyro 2 or 3 on the trilogy release
spyro
crash is just a 2d platformer but forward and backwards instead of left to right
Not to nitpick but crash did both
I'm stunned that Elora is more popular than Bianca when it comes to lewding. Then again, not really. Spyro 2 is so much more memorable than 3. I had to look up Bianca's name.
It's because there wasn't a good Bianca animation.
Bunnies are overdone and overrated.
I'm stunned anyone makes art of shitty remake elora
Spyro.
I liked the open level design and larger focus on exploration.
Made it a much more comfy game.

neither, furgay
>enormous crotch floof
conceptualize the aroma
the one where spyro is going to town on her tit is hilarious and hot at the same time
Thanks, anon. I don't know what I was expecting, but lactation isn't my thing
Crash
I take both.
Spyro is a bit too chilled out and for little kids for me. Crash 1 was actually balls to the walls hard and fun.
Ratchet and clank was superior over jak and Daxter though. Weird how those two studios flipped roles
Even as a kid when I got my PS1, I realized crash is just a 2d platformer but you run into the level rather side scrolling. Was very dissapointed after playing Mario 64 at a friend's house. I'd rather just play an actual 2d side-scroller than a janky 3d perspective shift one.

janny janny janny, can't you see
I can't believe you do it for free
Spyrorange.
>literally just a bunch of basic minigames but with Spyro/Crash assets
even as a kid I hated this shit
It's a platformer that has minigames. An actual platformer instead of a shatformer.
I don't know why you think admitting to not liking games makes sense, but okay.
>i-i-i-it's a platformer!
an extremely basic one with really shitty physics that only exists to transport you in between all the minigames
shoo, contrarian moron
Pokemon did irreparable damage during this era due to the red/blue shit generating infinite $ for them. I feel so sorry for these other companies that thought they could get away with it and everyone fricking flopped hard lmao
What's the connection between Pokemon and Spyro Orange? They're completely different genres.
anon..
Yes?
Spyro, but that's mainly because of collection autism.
I guess OP should have specified which one you prefer to play, not which one you prefer to throw in the garbage.
N'Sanity Crash >>> Reignited Spyro
Classic Crash <<< Classic Spyro
But both are very good and highly recommend a playthrough.
Spyro, easily.
Crash is more fun in short bursts but Spyro is more fun overall in terms of relaxed exploration
spyro by far. crash's characters are hideous ON PURPOSE mind you except for sameface syndrome bandicoots, the world is completely uninteresting and lame, the "fanbase" (100 people in total and are the most autistic incels to ever exist) and the whole thing feels like a dollar store donkey kong.
