I find it so funny how the PS2 has so many more first party 3D platformers (ratchet and clank 1-4, jak 1-3, ape escape 2-3, sly cooper 1-3) than the gamecube which only had mario sunshine while nowadays this is an extinct genre of games that only nintendo and indie developers make.

It may be the best futuristic racer ever, but it's far from the only one. You can say the Wipeout series is the PlayStation equivalent.

There are far more GameCube games worth playing today than PS2 games, even if it had far more releases at the time. It’s not really the PS2’s fault, it just had the definitive worst version of basically every multiplat, and most of its classics ended up ported to other things eventually.
PS2 has lightgun games so PS2 is better.

I miss when each console was completely different with their own unique games and genres and communities. Now Xbox and Playstation are just the same and inferior to PC, and Nintendo is just Nintendo. Like imagine being an idort with a Xbox, PS5, Switch, and a good PC, there's no point.
