Even if you hate the new formula used in Eternal you can't deny that 2016 was just a half-assed in-between between the original games and what the series was going to become with Eternal.
Doom Eternal took me 35 minutes to play after getting past the Bethesda.net unskippable login account creation bullshit and the 26 unskippable pop-ups of DLC announcements. Then I play for 10 minutes… all tutorial. Got bored, turned it off and never went back. Frick that pozzed shit.
reminder to play brutal doom 64, it adds a bunch of new enemies and make it a lot more challenging and interesting.
also play on classic if you don't want all the bloat stuff from brutal
It's still Ancient Aliens. There are arguments to be made for Going Down and Sunlust, depending on taste. The authors of the first two just recently released Heartland and Overboard, not megawads but they are extremely good.
The base games with the x0-10 enemies addon. All mods I have tried do this gay thing of abusing teleporting monster to give you cheap gotchas, of have you switch hunting like an idiot when the point is just killing demons to unwind, not playing the fricking Talos Principle on an ancient engine.
If anyone knows any megawad that avoid those 2 homosexual things, please let me know.
2 with mods
fippy bippy
This.
For vanilla campaign, it's 1st for me tho.
Doom 64
This but with the sprites replaced with the originals
so expect for smaller sprites and no, ai upscaling doesn't count.
modern dooms are much better than the classics, but quake beats all of them
Doom 1 gets boring fast without the super shotgun or archvile
why isnt doom 3 on there
Not canon
DooM 1993.
Because zoomers don't know it exists.
Doom 64
>vanilla?
i probably like eternal the most
>but with mods like ancient aliens? (mods are in the DNA of DOOM)
DOOM2
boring, needed those heavy hitting enemies.
Moon_man
Plutonia
Doom 1993 > Doom2 > (Doom64) > Doom Eternal > Doom 2016 > (Doom 3)

Why the parentheses?

Brutal doom.

Eternal vanilla
Eternal is a cooldown simulator trash you have to mod heavily just to make it barely playable.
Will the voxel models in Doom 2 be able to be ported into other wads?
2 with mods > 1 + Sigil > 2 > Doom 2016
I haven't played 64 and Eternal yet
MetaDoom
Nobody asked you.
They're all great
3 > 2016 > 1 > Eternal > 2
