Batman, the way theyre set up as taking place in the same night is way more kino and those games do a much better job of immersing you into feeling like the hero
Batman games because they're not woke gay shit yet.
Batman, the way theyre set up as taking place in the same night is way more kino and those games do a much better job of immersing you into feeling like the hero
I would put both Asylum and Knight before the first Insomniac SM game. The side content in SM1 is fricking abominably boring. I would rather collect every Riddler trophy without a guide than do any of Spiderman's shitty minigame side missions.
I'd put Spider-Man below everything, including Origins. The game got zero charm, zero atmosphere. Combat is alright but the finishers look bad and punches don't feel weighty, which is bad for a combat system that only has flashiness going for it. The side quests are terrible. Instead of fighting Spider-Man villains, you help homeless people or bird watchers, or your comatose friend, and fight generic mooks. It's snooze inducing. Story-wise I'd put Spider-Man at the top...if the game was only Peter and Doc Ock. But sadly Miles, MJ and Asian Slott OC exist, and everything that has to do with them (80% of the game) is terribly written and beyond boring.
Batman is the most juvenile superhero in existence. Even Iron Man is less of a pathetic self-insert for insecure losers because at least he's a barely functioning alcoholic with daddy issues who people shit on.
Still less juvenile than Batman because he's also a jobless loser everyman who constantly gets fricked over by life and is annoying to the people around him.
you're just saying that because he's black. No one really self-inserts on Miles. Meanwhile, every autistic loser in existence is like "Batman is literally me" or "I could totally be Batman" or "he's so relatable, I'm also a genius billionaire ninja whos better than everyone around him all the time"
Kek what the frick are you talking about schizo? Spiderman is THE self insert superhero, that was why he was originally created, so the kids reading comic books could identify as him instead of millionares or super powered aliens

Spider-Man is also a self-insert hero, don't get me wrong. And even though his self-insert was more intended as a "wow he goes through the same bullshit I have to go through", it's since crept up to "he's a genius who fricks supermodels and can beat everyone secretly". Still, there remains a kernel of put-upon loser who struggles that keeps him more grounded than Batman.
Batman was never really intended as a self-insert, but his "coolness" and obvious power fantasy elements (billionaire, handsome, jacked, smarter than everyone, prepared for everything, cool toys and gadgets, dark and edgy, mysterious and interesting, fricks gorgeous women, etc.) meant he crept to much steeper heights of self-insert wank than Spider-Man without the core principle of "this guy is a loser" to keep him rooted. Every now and then, you get a writer who remembers that Batman should be vulnerable and compelling and human, but most writers just take him and jerk him off all over everyone else to show what a cool guy he is
Stop the cope. It's unhealthy. 90% of super heroes are for self inserting. Peter Parker being an every day man (while also being a handsome super genius) only makes him more self-insert-able.

People always say that the lack of powers makes them more grounded when in reality the shit batman goes through now is way more moronic then anything spiderman has done lately.

99% of children out there are not born into billionaire families. For them, getting bitten by a radioactive spider is about as realistic and suddenly becoming one of the richest people on the planet. Superheroes as a concept are juvenile, and that's okay.

I won't deny that most heroes are for self-insert power fantasies, I'm merely saying that Batman is far and away the worst culprit who attracts the worst morons who do and think the worst things about the character.
Thats nu batman, original batman was more grounded and human and got the shit beat out of him all the time, then he got popular and the writers started wanking the hell out of him ruining the character
The biggest mistake of Batman's character was trying to have him stand toe to toe with the likes of Superman and Wonder Woman. It just led to prep time wank and "humans are awesome!!!!" bullshit.
Arkham series has better story, darker tone with the combat feeling more crunching like they're all being put in the ICU, not woke like Spider-Man, Gotham is better than New York, better soundtrack, less cut scenes. Sony's spiderman is too onions
>story
Batman. >combat
Toss up. Spiderman's agility is fun but Batman's punches have a lot more impact. Spiderman probably has better bosses. >stealth
Batman. >puzzles
Batman. >level design
Batman. >art direction
Batman. >graphics
Toss up. Sure the new Spiderman games look good but Arkham Knight has aged like fine. wine.
>Spiderman probably has better bosses
Nah. Spider-Mans are QTE fests because Insomniac can't seem to design around Spider-Mans agility so it usually comes down to "Do this three times and pass a QTE". Even though bosses aren't Batman's strongest suit. Rocksteady at least mostly made boss fights knowledge checks of the combat and stealth. Arkham Origins has the best boss design in the series though because WB Montreal were smart about it and seemed to have a much better grasp of it than Rocksteady did. The only real time they use QTE's is during the Deathstroke fight but they use them masterfully there in making the fight hype as frick when Batman and Deathstroke are just pummeling the shit out of each other.
Where have you been? nu-Ganker is all about retreating into faux-nostalgia for things they shat on when they were contemporary in an attempt to escape from "white genocide"
Where have you been? nu-Ganker is all about retreating into faux-nostalgia for things they shat on when they were contemporary in an attempt to escape from "white genocide"
I like both, but Batman is better because he has actually interesting and threatening villains. The only good Spider-Man villain is Venom, but he was hardly even in Spider-Man 2. Spider-Man is always more light hearted, and I much prefer the darker, more sinister tone of Batman.
I've read plenty of Spider-Man comics, and there was never any real tension or threat. A guy dressed up like a goblin flying around on a glider or a dude in a suit of armor who aclls himself The Rhino just aren't intimidating, and it's only made worse by the light hearted tone the comics have overall.
Even just looking at basically 1-1 comparisons of characters, The Lizard is just goofy while Killer Croc is scary.
I ended up just ignoring Spider-Man comics and reading all the Venom ones instead a while ago since he's way cooler.
>there was never any real tension or threat. A guy dressed up like a goblin flying around on a glider or a dude in a suit of armor who aclls himself The Rhino
So you haven't read any Spider-Man comics then >The Lizard is just goofy
Imagine using Lizard of all characters to make this point
>but Batman is better because he has actually interesting and threatening villains
Spider-Man has one of the better rogues galleries in comics and Batman's rogues are so fricking overrated.
Spider-Man wins because it didn't feature one of the dominoes that ruined an entire generation of women while permanently ruining a fan favourite character
>Arkham features the first instance of "Nu-Harley" as a juggalo bawd >Nerd girls start cosplaying as her for easy attention >Comic-cons are plagued by her no matter where you turn >Eventually, the comics start mimicking this "juggalo bawd" design and latch onto her growing popularity, starting with the New 52 and the decision that she is now a female empowerment narrative who serves as DC's answer to Deadpool >Suicide Squad borrows from a combination of the Arkham City and New 52 designs to create the ultimate white girl power fantasy version of Harley >Naturally she's a roaring success and the character spreads like an epidemic
It's all connected, anon! Don't you see?
Wolverine is an angry overcompensating manlet weeb with a Japanese girl kink who spends his days drinking himself into a stupor and getting in pointless fights with random people, albeit physically.
By copying the comics. They'll include flashbacks where Logan fights on the "right" side of both WW2 and the civil war. Laura (who will be hideous, think MJ but 10 times uglier), who'll lecture him on empathy and overall just does everything he does but better, will make an appearance too, of course. Maybe they'll include him in a cuck love triangle as well.
Spider-Man is genuinely the kind of game I would describe as slop. It's quintessential AAA, open world, cinematic, ESG, whatever fricking buzzword slop. Batman isn't that great better but Asylum was genuinely a pretty bold game at the time of its release and they did a solid job expanding upon the formula as they went along. They also kept the game feeling very Batman rather than running to worship blacks and gays at the earliest opportunity. As we all know, we engage with Spider-Man media to be bombarded with our daily ritualistic worship of blacks and gays.
Batman games were all much better.
Spider-man might be nicer visually from a technical standpoint, but Batman has much better art directiion to make up for it.
batman is actually the hero of the game unlike spider-man who gets rescued ordered around or told what to do by women and blacks the entire game to push an woke agenda
Because Batman has a cape
>batmobile
no
>black spider man
no
Batman, the way theyre set up as taking place in the same night is way more kino and those games do a much better job of immersing you into feeling like the hero
Batman games because they're not woke gay shit yet.
Batman
batman is better in every way
Neither
>1610
Hey, good than 1048
Baste
Batman will always be better than Spider-Man at everything
Not anymore
For me it's Spider-Man, because of the traversal.

Spider-Man
All 3 games were actually fun
No amount of woke pandering will forgive all of the bullshit Arkham Knight did
bullshit like all the females being top model tier
so LAME
spiderman wins all day
Batman is mature for mature people like me
Batman, he's more relatable. He has like a gazillion dollars.
Batman's games take everything very serious. Spider-Man is more "so that just happened" type writing.
Asylum > City > SM > Knight > don't care about SM2
Origins >
The fight with deathstroke in origins was so fricking good. I love when the camera is close to the character, gives off that close and personal vibe.
City > Spider-Man > Asylum > Knight >= Spider-Man 2
Oh yeah, put Origins last I guess.
I would put both Asylum and Knight before the first Insomniac SM game. The side content in SM1 is fricking abominably boring. I would rather collect every Riddler trophy without a guide than do any of Spiderman's shitty minigame side missions.

Everything about the arkham knight was moronic, Jason is already an overrated emo edgelord frick and they somehow made him worse
Spider-Man in actuality, but Ganker is going to insist it's Batman because RAAAAARGH Black folk AND QUEERS
Batman games are just better
Arkham City is better, I think Spider-Man edges out the other two.
Ironic considering the VAs of the batman games are actually queers
Knight wasn't made by people who despise me and my interests, so that one.
Batman is the most juvenile superhero in existence. Even Iron Man is less of a pathetic self-insert for insecure losers because at least he's a barely functioning alcoholic with daddy issues who people shit on.
Did you forget the part where Peter Parker is an ace student super genius with a smoking hot super model GF?
Still less juvenile than Batman because he's also a jobless loser everyman who constantly gets fricked over by life and is annoying to the people around him.
Still less juvenile than Miles lol.
you're just saying that because he's black. No one really self-inserts on Miles. Meanwhile, every autistic loser in existence is like "Batman is literally me" or "I could totally be Batman" or "he's so relatable, I'm also a genius billionaire ninja whos better than everyone around him all the time"

The Sony Spiderman games are literally Arkham with a Spiderman skin. The games are pathetic when you compare them to the old Spidey games.
Arkham series has better story, darker tone with the combat feeling more crunching like they're all being put in the ICU, not woke like Spider-Man, Gotham is better than New York, better soundtrack, less cut scenes. Sony's spiderman is too onions

Spider-man because it isn't on xbox.
The Arkham series has pic related.
Next question.
>Ganker actually likes bam ham now
Where have you been? nu-Ganker is all about retreating into faux-nostalgia for things they shat on when they were contemporary in an attempt to escape from "white genocide"
The fact that Ganker is now defending Halo when people here have been shitting on it for years is proof that tbh
/vr/ realized both isn’t the best
I always liked the first one, never played the others
It was always good. Frick the contrarian haters.
>Bamham bad
Why?
>It just is okay!?
City on Hard, where you have no counter indicators, is genuinely challenging.
One is probably the best AAA franchise ever made the other is a cuckie wokie simulator
The girls in the arkham games are actually hot
pic unrelated?
>pretending catwoman is ugly now
It's not ok to be gay bro
I like both, but Batman is better because he has actually interesting and threatening villains. The only good Spider-Man villain is Venom, but he was hardly even in Spider-Man 2. Spider-Man is always more light hearted, and I much prefer the darker, more sinister tone of Batman.
>I like both, but Batman is better because he has actually interesting and threatening villains

I'm talking specifically about the games. Arkham and PS4/5 Spider-Man
I've read plenty of Spider-Man comics, and there was never any real tension or threat. A guy dressed up like a goblin flying around on a glider or a dude in a suit of armor who aclls himself The Rhino just aren't intimidating, and it's only made worse by the light hearted tone the comics have overall.

Spider-Man has one of the better rogues galleries in comics and Batman's rogues are so fricking overrated.
Green Goblin is the best Spide-Man villain. Venom is more like an anti-hero nowadays.
Meant to reply
Spider-man. Only because of CHADnom.
Spider-Man wins because it didn't feature one of the dominoes that ruined an entire generation of women while permanently ruining a fan favourite character
That was the Suicide Squad movie. No girl played Arkham.
Fool.
>Arkham features the first instance of "Nu-Harley" as a juggalo bawd

how will they make wolverine pozzed?
Wolverine is an angry overcompensating manlet weeb with a Japanese girl kink who spends his days drinking himself into a stupor and getting in pointless fights with random people, albeit physically.
He's basically Ganker incarnate.
that sounds beyond based, it will only be bad if the incessantly mock him for it
By copying the comics. They'll include flashbacks where Logan fights on the "right" side of both WW2 and the civil war. to be fair given that wolvie is an ugly manlet it's weird that his female clone is a beautiful tall woman
That's because she's not a full clone. She's got a biological mother.
Spiderman is consistently good but Batman's Arkham triology is better than any of spideys games
Obviously Batman because of the near total lack of Black folk.
Spider-Man is genuinely the kind of game I would describe as slop. It's quintessential AAA, open world, cinematic, ESG, whatever fricking buzzword slop. Batman is beat em up with batman in it. Spiderman game plays like a fricking spiderman game.
They're both beat em ups moron, and how exactly do you expect a Batman game to work
No moron. Batman is mid.
>Likes Sony's Black personman
>"mid"
Yeah, it's a zoomer
Batman Arkham Asylum is legit a top 10 game
Arkham Knight is pretty mid and City wasn't as as good as Asylum
Maybe it's just because I liked the sandbox elements and exploring Gotham, but I've always preferred City to Asylum.
