> Oh no there's stupid scenes where you're eating together at the end of a mission
I think it's a meme, the story overall is way worse compared to handler's involvement
Yes the story was pretty dumb I'll give you that
Handler was the best attempt at girl next door in a game. If you used mods to clean up her face and get rid of her eye bags your brain has been rotted by porn.
I think the main issue with the handler is she looks ugly as sin without a mod, and she's straight up moronic. As in literally, she's a tard and hyper autistic.
I don't even need to argue that she's autistic and a moron. I just need to point to the Deviljho incident and call it good.
Even in her own game every other female character looks more attractive then her.
>Rise has >>good looking armor
Almost every single brand new armor design looks horrid in Rise. There's only about 2-3 new armor that I actually like but there's so much fricking garbage. World's new designs looked so much better.
As for weapons though, I am very glad that Rise brought back unique weapons. Of course the way the "progression" work 90% of them become worthless in the long run.
Eh. Disagree, I think Rise is overall harder given the huge amount of movement options you have and how much faster every monster is.
The only thing harder about World is Fatalis and other endgame content the likes of which they'll be dripping out over the course of the next year
I was watching a stream of rise and it seemed like they made the monsters a lot more spongey. Seemed like they compensated to much for the bad gimmick of riding monsters to fight
Anybody that still has knowledge on mh3u. It's my 1st MH. I don't understand how charms and decorations work but I know I should at least equip some already. What are the best one for a longblade user?
3u got absolutely glitched, look up charm tables to see what I'm talking about. For gameplay just use whatever you got that fills out your armor skills or puts you on track to better evasion or attack
World, better pacing, better challenge, and a better introduction to the series
Rise is easier and it's content can be blown through much faster, and it's also built around the gimmick of the wirebug.
I played 400 hours of World on PS4. I just started playing World on PC a couple weeks ago and it's active. Tons of people still playing.
Rise was good for about 15 hours. It's just built as a Switch game. World is like the adult version of the same game. Also FRICK the mandatory single player stuff in Rise. In World you can play every single mission multiplayer. I think it's only the Witcher idiot mission that is the only mandatory singleplayer content.
In World, you need to watch the cutscene or discover the monster, then you can shoot a flair to call in support. I recommend watching the cutscene, then quitting out and restarting the mission. This way you can shoot a flair at 0 minutes and you're pretty guaranteed to get someone responding when you do it that way. Don't shoot a flair when you're already 5+ minutes into a mission. Of course this is if you really want help on a tough mission. You can also join other people on the same mission, even when you haven't beat it, if you've watched the cutscene. You will get credit for beating it this way.
TL;DR World just has better design decisions. Rise has some dumb mandatory shit that you feel like you're being forced to do. World is a better game. Rise isn't awful, but World is better. Hunting Horn is way better in World.
Allowing people to get help with the single player quest line was a mistake. There needs to be something to filter you morons to force you to get good instead of you world new gays getting carried by us old players.
This shit made me fricking drop world on PS4, especially when every single quest would have shitters triple cart and waste my time. When trying to play online I'd maybe manage to get through one successful hunt every 2 hours. Ironic that the monhun on the most powerful hardware ever has by far the worst loading and framerate of any console monhun.
And sure you can play solo but if I'm doing that I'd rather just play an older monster hunter.
i mean, it's still fricking unbelievable
I tried world at a friend's house until anja and I could not believe the load times on a base ps4. Entering every hunt took like a fricking a minute
>Also FRICK the mandatory single player stuff in Rise.
The single player in Rise is the easiest fricking shit. You know how Rise has Low Rank, High Rank, and Master Rank? The Village (single player) is its own rank below that. Also you can literally ignore it. Rise's Master Rank expansion, Sunbreak, limits the single player content to Follower Quests where you're joined by NPCs. You can also ignore those. The rest of it is all multiplayer where the cutscenes don't even interfere with the gameplay (they play before and after a hunt).
World is cancer to go through the story missions in multiplayer, people can't even join you until you've watched all cutscenes so they gotta wait like morons in the hub for you to watch them all.
Rise's story is short then the other 80% of the game is in the gathering hub.
World's MP was only really bad because of the gay cutscene shit. Rise's MP is just bad despite being easier to deal with. Also thanks World for adding HP scaling and making multiplayer feel even more worthless, and thanks Rise for continuing that so I have more incentive to fight SOLO instead of MP.
They're literally more or less the same easy shit game. The only major difference is that Rise respects your time by not shoving a garbage story with unskippable cutscenes down your throat.
Whichever you choose, ignore the guardian armor and defender weapons. They will trivialise everything pre-expansion and prevent you from learning how to play. Its almost a literal god-mode for the first few hours
Both are good in different ways. Rise is more arcadey with shorter monster fights and ninja bug mechanics, World has more intricate maps, unskippable cutscenes, and looks much nicer.
world was cutscene shit for playstation players that wanted a """cinematic experience"""
enjoy your higher resolution textures at the cost of having to stare at the handler constantly as she tells you what a good job she's doing
He's right though. I have made multiple characters in every Monster Hunter to replay from low rank except World because of the cutscenes. They make the game a 5/10 for me, total lack of replayability.
World was the game that ruined the Monster Hunter fandom, because like most games that attract newbies they then join the established community’s and shit them up. No one I know who has played more than one game calls World the best. Most peoples favourites are MHFU and MHGen
unironically everything before World is unplayable now due to how shit the controls are in comparison
and this is from someone who's been playing since MH2
>Gathering hubs? Gutted in rise to 4 max. No fun allowed. >Housing? Gutted in Rise. Reduced to shitty toys, no furniture customization at all. >Fishing? Gutted in Rise. Just press a button to get fish. >Monster research? Removed in Rise. >Endemic life? Removed in Rise. >Felyne tribes? Removed in Rise. >Buddy gadgets? Removed in Rise. >Tailriders? Removed in Rise. >Pendants? Removed in Rise. >Treasure hunts? Removed in Rise. >Steamworks? Removed in Rise. >Guiding Lands? Removed in Rise. >Big collab events? Removed in Rise. >Poogie? Removed in Rise. >Food? Removed in Rise. Eat your candy balls for babies. >Monsters? It only has 17.
Now they're removing features from base Rise and putting in NOTHING to replace them. What were they even doing during development? Not adding more monsters than Iceborne, that's for sure. They've done nothing, just phoning in the most lazy cash grab ever.
Im (mostly) ok with how monster hunts are done in rise (never liked investigations) but man do i miss all the endemic and home stuff. Sometimes after a few hard battles i just wanna catch some rare bugs and fish for an hour
It's anime because the 3DS games introduced anime weapons, anime monsters, anime physics, and anime animations, moron.
Nobody gives a frick about graphics except worldbabies, which are no better than the 3DS zoomers.

Naw it just went a different direction for one title. There’s no word from Capcom if they’re going to stay this course of not. For all we know they go back to pre-world next.

They have been going off-rails for over a decade you moron.
3U was the last real MH game, everything afterwards have been animeshit and progressively worse with each game.
I want capcom to focus on just making MH remakes, so we can go back to MH Tri and FU.

3U is new to me, but you probably consider it old since you're a zoomer. Anything pots 2010 is new and modern.
world is easier and has slower punching bag monsters and forced tutorials to make a good babies first monster hunter game
rise makes everything faster and harder
World is very different from other MH games. It's way more focused on being a cinematic experience. It's a lot like a Sony first party game in that regard.
>which one should I get as my first?
Neither. Get MH4U, you can emulate that shit if you want. Play it to at least the end of high rank so you can understand what Monster Hunter plays like without going full boomer, then play Rise. I enjoyed World when it came out, but as much as I like the good things it did, the shitty things are REALLY fricking shitty and outright ruin the game. I'm not big on wirebugs, but they're a less offensive gimmick than goddamn clutch claw and slinger. World still has more content because it received all of its post-release content while Rise is still "ongoing", but with the sole exception of Fatalis and Nuclear Brachydios it's all fricking shit.
Anyone who disagrees with this is a shitposting homosexual and can safely be ignored.
That's fine, I only suggest 4U because it has a frickload of content while offering enough QoL to not make new players want to drop the game at Tigrex.
I really don’t understand what the thought process behind the clutch claw and tenderizing was. It adds absolutely nothing to the gameplay and is just arbitrary busy work.
Even Rise’s monster riding isn’t as egregious since at least you only ever really do it once or twice a hunt.
I think it's funny that there are people on here that believe they are the "TRUE MH FANS" while only liking FU and World and hating every other game in the series.
FU already had the worst fans pre-World and that game woke them up.
Anything running long enough is going to have a dedicated group of insufferable grognards who refuse to acknowledge any positive traits of the newer stuff, on the off-chance they do enjoy it the only praise they offer is groaning and saying that "it's not as good as OLD THING, but it's at least playable." World is absolute fricking trash though, and the only G-rank game I can think that's worse is MHXX.
Iceborne has only two fights, Fatalis and Alatreon, the rest is either better in other games
(the exception is Yian Garuga but he isn't enough to compare to Fatalis and Alatreon) or simply a bad addition to the series
I have a theory
hammer is supposed to be a multiplayer weapon, and your job is to stun/exhaust the monster as much as possible so your group can kill it fast
this explains why hammer solo does sucj poor damage, right?
The only “multiplayer weapon” is HH.
If hammer is doing bad damage that’s just because its shit. Other weapons can score consistent knockouts and still do good damage.
Except the multiplayer status limit is a thing and the entirety of a hammers contribution could be replicated by a couple of endemic toads. Or just literally any other weapon capable of KOs.
>play ultimate >miss cat chefs and normal food >play freedom unite >miss rise and how streamlined it is >play rise >miss ultimate and its atmosphere and high fps
Life is nothing but pain.
Honestly though. I love ultimate and I wish I had friends to play it.
I either wish ultimate was on xbox or that switch had Dirt Rally, Dark Souls Trilogy, Elden Ring, MGS5, Metro or Stalker series.
World. Even if Rise is more current it looks and plays like something from 2 gens ago. Not to mention World has a better co-op system and still frickton of people to play with.
World+Iceborne is a finished game. It has more content and the endgame grind has been normalized. By the time you are done with it Rise will still be getting updates. You're not gonna be late for Rise for at least one year. World also gets bigger discounts. I'd say if you don't really have personal preferences in style get World with Iceborne first. If you enjoy it, get Rise too since they're similar enough (demos are still available to check it out).

monhun games barely change, dont let people lie to you otherwise. literally japanese cod, those two games are when the series started to break out of its rut so pick whichever. id go with world personally because its cheaper and better from a graphical standpoint. then by the time you get through that and want more rise should be going on sale so you can get both discounted. if not wait for mh6 because it will probably be the biggest and best yet if its optimized for pc/ps5/xsx
MHW is the best option, especially if you're willing to use the ICE mod that fixes the shitclaw, mandatory cutscenes and makes it faster go play through the slogfest that the base game is.
world has more charming features i think, you can tell rise was stripped back for the switch. that being said rise is more streamlined and i think the gameplay is better in rise. if the next game was rise's gameplay and pacing but world's environment building and charm then it'll be perfect
World Pros: >wedge beetles >auto crafting making things easier >multi camp fast travel in quests >pleasant art style >big lobbies for 16 people
World Cons: >weak roster of newcomers >slinger >weapon design is bland >forces you to play 'online only' like a damn souls game so no pause button >slinger >big lobbies are pointless >borked quest structure due to having single player cutscenes in a multiplayer focused online experience >Zorah Magdaros >overall weak maps mechanically >slinger >decoration farming >end game is boring >characters don't shut the frick up about telling you to do story quests after every fricking hunt you return from >scoutflies remove the sense of tracking monsters down since they'll do that for you >the goddamn slinger
Rise Pros: >Dogs >better weapon and armor design >more diverse roster of monsters >all the good stuff World introduced like auto craft and mutli camp fast travel >pleasant art style >smaller lobbies again >extra player mobility so they're not locked down to corridor chasing like in World >pause button when you're hunting solo
Rise Cons: >short >an owl shows you where the monsters are all times >lighting doesn't look as pleasant as World's did >spiribirds >no 'end game' to speak of if you care about that shit >rampages >charm melding
Though really everything can be summarized like this: If you want to get a feel of what Monster Hunter as a franchise is like then start with World since it's technically a numbered installment then eventually upgrade into Iceborne. Rise is a side game and treats itself as such the same way Generations Ultimate did, so everything is as over the top or 'grounded' as you make it to be. Personally I say if you like one get the other; my pros and cons are subjective anyway, but I got 700+ hours out of World+Iceborne and I'm seeing similar time spent with Rise+Sunbreak. They're both a lot of fun.
Anyone that plays World first becomes a shitposting gaylord that does nothing but ruin every thread. I would say to try one of the older games first. Give p3rd a try, theres an english patch and you can emulate it

Ignoring any argument of gameplay or whatever (since all MH games have their own issues,)
I can say that the removal or the slinger, carving knife and scoutfly container that was on every armour and ruined aesthetics and symmetry on a lot of them, makes Rise 100% better than World.
One person said that.
Also, buy a better monitor and computer if colour and fidelity is an issue. Not the graphics fault you're poor.
I have a Neo-g8 monitor and RTX 3080.
Rise still looks like crap.
I'm not saying Rise isn't FUN. Rise is FUN as frick.
I'm just being HONEST and saying Rise looks like CRAP
Gosh, discussing with Rise cultists is so tiresome cause they can't take a SINGLE loss.
Everything about Rise is perfect to you gays.
Admit the visuals are CRAP.
ADMIT IT.
It's also comparing Misty Peaks, a locale that's always been vibrant in color, to Flooded Forest which has had a muted color palette since 2009. The only time the bottom map looked remotely vibrant was Portable 3rd, and that's stretching it.
tbf, night-time on any map ruins the colour palette a lot of the time. Also, the red tint in the volcano is annoying too.

And saying you think the game is fun -while you obviously despise it,- doesn't make me hold your opinion in any higher regard, either.
It just makes you disingenuous and not worth my time.
>-while you obviously despise it,-
What. Where did you get that from? I love Rise. I just despise the visuals. The visuals are fricking shit but I'm used to trash visuals since I play garbage early access indie games all the time.
I got it from everything else you said. Regardless, if you're used to "bad" visuals, you certainly don't act like it. So, you know, another lie. As expected.

Did you figure me out from 2 posts with less than 100 words in them? Dude.
Unless you think I'm someone else.
Play World first because it's a great entry point. If you enjoyed World, then buy Iceborne. If you want more MonHun, then play the older titles starting with 4 Ultimate because it's also a great entry point. If you enjoyed 4U, then play Freedom Unite, Portable 3rd, and 3 Ultimate in any order. Then, and only then, will you truly enjoy Generations Ultimate because you'll get all the nods to the previous games.
Freedom and Rise are optional. Gen 1 is very outdated while Rise feels more like a spinoff than an actual Monster Hunter game.
World has endgame. Rise doesn't have endgame. If you want infinite fun content while progress through the game, play World. If you want a scarce experience, without any motivation to keep you going, play Rise. You will probably drop Rise after 30 hours or less.
Where did all these people who think monster hunter is supposed to be a live service mmo come from? The endgame of monster hunter has pretty much always been mantle and gem hunting to make cool armor.
>30 hours
250 hours in world, and 150 and counting in Rise for me. Just because you dropped the game after village Magnamalo doesn't mean everyone else does.
>World and Iceborne end game is repeating the same hunts over and over in the hopes you'll get a shiny new weapon or the random stone you actually need to augment your gear will appear >this is 'fun' to some people
That's the point where I stop playing. If I killed everything and RNG is all you have to offer as an end game reward then you're not really giving me anything to shoot for.
>World
The basis for every mainline MH game from here on. IB's Fatalis is the best fight in the entire series. Shitmons don't stand out particularly. Great zones. Clutch claw is gay. Best lineup of elder dragons. >Rise
Better variety of shitmoms but they're still shitmons. Wirebugs allow weapons more variety in playstyle. Mounting is still optimal in most cases via red or gold wirebug. You have to do a couple rampages to reach the good part. Get used to variants instead of new or returning mons.
Behemoth was a shit mmo fight with mmo mechanics that didn't belong in my single player experience. Didn't play iceborne BTW because World on ps4 was so dissapointing so I can't comment on fatalis
No, Behemoth was too weird. Fatalis is so much fun. I've never enjoyed getting my ass kicked as with Fatalis. Dude's a straight up test of true mettle.
No, Behemoth was too weird. Fatalis is so much fun. I've never enjoyed getting my ass kicked as with Fatalis. Dude's a straight up test of true mettle.
Iceborne for 40 of my hard earned neetbux or rise+sb for 70? I don't really care about multiplayer so concurrent player numbers are irrelevant to me, and yes I have a character ready for IB.
Who says you can't play World alone? Just set all your quests to one player and nobody will in your lobby will join you. Hell not like people in World communicate anyways in these 16 player lobbies they tout so much. People use their shitty mics on PS4 until they realized staying silent was better because NOBODY was listening, and on the PC side of things everybody that actually wants to hunt with one another uses outside means like Discord to converse with people they're actually going to be hunting with. By all means you can get Rise, but World is still playable to the end solo except a few quests that are built around multiplayer.
I can't speak for World, but base Rise has the Rampages, which are absolute misery solo. Worse still, the standard Apex hunts are behind them, and that sucks.
As for Sunbreak, the endgame Afflicted hunts are doable solo, but much more manageable with a party. Your enjoyment of fighting them solo will likely depend on how good your weapon is at hitting specific hitzones.
Outside of those two quest types, there's a ton of content to enjoy solo, especially the solo-only Follower Quests in SB.
World has fights that are obviously designed to be done in groups, though I think they made most of those TECHNICALLY possible in solo in the game's final update it's still pretty obvious.
Why are the Japs sooo bad at this game?!? Trying to farm Gaisnagorm armor set and they keep fricking triple carting in the first phase. He’s the worst final monster in any of previous title and is EASY. FFS.
Hey homosexual bing wienersucker. MH was always intertwined with online. Hell Fatalis was originally an ONLINE-ONLY monster. The initial MH games on PS2 had more sophisticated online than the handheld ones. World is continuing its console legacy.
The graphical seasonal events rotate all the time you wienersucker. It's more than obvious your bing shit covered hands have never even played the game.
ah yes I'm so glad people can't even fight fatalist anymore in the original games if they wanted to replay on original hardwre because the fricking servers went down
>PLEASE CAPCOM GATE THE CONTENT BEHIND A TIME FRAME FOR ME
you can eat shit all you want but don't expect people to want that as well kek
all of that shit should be on the game to begin with moron.
Both are flawed, especially the base games.
World + Iceborne is great but still has some flaws like guiding lands. many mediocre fights, tenderizing, piss easy until the endgame, lacks personality.
Even though that sounds like a lot it's still a really fun game with great gameplay.
Rise on the other hand has:
+ Better fights than world, even shitmons that are much more enjoyable. Especially applies to sunbreak
+ Weapons are more fun in world
+ has more personality & charm imo, but that's very subjective
+ bearable NPCs
But it also has still a lot of flaws, even with sunbreak
- Piss easy, even more than world. Master rank is a bit more challenging, but not by a lot (didn't do afflicted monsters yet, so I don't know about these)
- Weapons lack oomph and weight compared to world. World hat such amazingly satisfying weight behind the attacks which felt really good. Rise still has this, but a lot worse. The weapons themselves play better imo, but feel worse.
- kinda ugly. Self explanatory, game looks as, no detail on the maps. The textures are fine, but it lacks detail and thus looks a bit shitty at times.
- Losing identity. Because of wirebugs, tons of counters and high mobilty it lost some of monster hunters identity. Gameplay focuses a lot less on positioning and commitment. It's still there, but not as important anymore and not as punishing if you frick up.
- maps suck ass. Exceptions are sandy plains and jungle
All in all I think world + iceborne is better, but sunbreak really improved rise a lot but i can't say yet which i prefer. Especially since it's again half finished and a lot of content updates are yet to come in addition to me not having played to endgame yet
I'd say both eventually. World and Iceborne are cheaper and the best looking MH games to date, and you can hold off on Rise until it and Sunbreak become dirt cheap like World and Iceborne.
You will never get a proper real discussion about these games because you have two sides of console-warring homosexuals. I personally liked World and Iceborne more overall, but I'd be lying if I said it was anywhere near my favorite MH game.
why are publishers so scared of numbering their games now? every sequel now just have a useless modifier attached to it instead of an orderly 2/3/4 etc
Because normies new to a franchise will be scared off. They assume they're all part of one story and will be confused by starting on a later entry. Tons of people were scared off from Final Fantasy this way even though most are completely different stories
Rise's armor sucks. Anything actually good is just updated old armor. The actually brand new armor designs are the ugliest shit imaginable, and part of that is the color choices.
Is there a blood-whatever gem that has the vampiric effect of the Malzeno armor? I don’t see it but maybe I haven’t unlocked it. If there is, is there also a hard version?
Why the frick did they remove the delicious food scenes and meals from World and replaced it with shitty candy for babies? It's literally my biggest complaint that's not gameplay related, even older title meals feel more satisfying given that it's actual fricking food.
This is a trend of the portable games to not have standard canteen food. Portable 3rd had hot springs, Generations had that cheese kabob thing, and now Rise has dangos.
both are westernized, dumbed down pigslop fit only for consumption by the below average iq american audience
it's not like the games were ever hard or overly complex, but now they're just braindead
>expect armor design on the level of previous games >get sanitized designs for children instead >when you complain the kids call you out for liking girls that can give you cooties
Rise catering to children had disastrous consequences.
>numbers:off >Hit effects: reduced 50% >Other player hit effects: reduced 75% >Wirebugs skills: dont use them >Stand still when drinking potions >Monster riding: OFF (optional, on but only wall slams. No monster attacks)
Ah yes, the Classic ™ Guild ™ play style.
If you don't play like this you literally haven't beaten the game.
World has a few shortcomings but it has quite possibly one of the most satisfying and best final bosses of any video game ever. Solo-ing the final boss feels fricking amazing. I haven't played Rise so I can't comment on it.
I had lots of fun with World, put 600 hours into it. I think you'd be stupid not to get it especially when its on sale for cheap. You can grab Rise at some point too, just play World at some point because its a lot of fun.
Fatty, I didn't want to spoil. Nerg and Shara were pretty fun too, the end game monsters are good in general but nothing hit quite like Fatalis. Like I don't play as many games as some people here do but soloing Fatalis was honestly one of the best feelings I've had playing any game ever. >finally figuring out all the attacks long enough to realize you are FRICKED because of the time limit and you have to go in and go ham, no pussies allowed >trying out different weapons and strategies; this is the boss that got me to switch to GS >making use of the stuff they give you in the terrain (ballistae, cannons, etc) >when that fricking theme of a hunter kicks in at the end
neither

This c**t. Frick I hate Nintendo homosexuals.
>Recommending a lesss cinematic game
what's the problem?
>recommending a boss rush game instead a monster hunting game
MH are glorified boss rush games, cretin
You clearly didnt play the classic games then.
You said "MH is a glorified boss rush game" not "MHW is a glorified rush game" homosexual.
>MH are glorified boss rush games, cretin
kys Risetard
world is more of a shart sniffer, bug following simulator
>world is classic
?
How can you hate handler?
She is hardly even around
>She is hardly even around
> Oh no there's stupid scenes where you're eating together at the end of a mission
Yes the story was pretty dumb I'll give you that
Handler was the best attempt at girl next door in a game. If you used mods to clean up her face and get rid of her eye bags your brain has been rotted by porn.
I think it's a meme, the story overall is way worse compared to handler's involvement
I think the main issue with the handler is she looks ugly as sin without a mod, and she's straight up moronic. As in literally, she's a tard and hyper autistic.
Mods make her boring looking, just typical weeb trash perfection
I'm sorry happy people give autistic vibes to you
I don't even need to argue that she's autistic and a moron. I just need to point to the Deviljho incident and call it good.
Even in her own game every other female character looks more attractive then her.
>Rise has
>>good looking armor
Almost every single brand new armor design looks horrid in Rise. There's only about 2-3 new armor that I actually like but there's so much fricking garbage. World's new designs looked so much better.
As for weapons though, I am very glad that Rise brought back unique weapons. Of course the way the "progression" work 90% of them become worthless in the long run.
rise is easier, world is better
both good
I think Rise is harder than World. I haven't touched Sunbreak so I don't know if it's harder than Iceborne.
Riding is a meme for noobs to fall for. The damage you by your weapons is almost 2 or 3x more during the same time period of a ride.
>get
do not, pirate both. play both. enjoy both and discuss with anons about both games
(you) me if you want more life advice
Always play the newest one. This is like FIFA or CoD.
Things getting steadily worse and worse until it gets good again suddenly?
It feels like World is right for the PC fan, but it's
already a dead game.
Rise has fricktons of players now, so I recommend Rise.
World with Iceborne is better than Sunbreak by a huge margin
World takes a huge dump on the bing bing shit spin-off.
play rise so you can shit post with us for the rest of the year and then after its finish if you enjoyed yourself then you can go play world.
Rise is the mainline entry, so that.
Both are fun, but World is probably better if it's your first time playing.
Peak MH is FU
Most fun is GU
Anybody that still has knowledge on mh3u. It's my 1st MH. I don't understand how charms and decorations work but I know I should at least equip some already. What are the best one for a longblade user?
3u got absolutely glitched, look up charm tables to see what I'm talking about. For gameplay just use whatever you got that fills out your armor skills or puts you on track to better evasion or attack
Man, I took the time to make sure I was on a God table for the weapons I use and I still never managed to get anything good after 700 hours.
World, better pacing, better challenge, and a better introduction to the series
Rise is easier and it's content can be blown through much faster, and it's also built around the gimmick of the wirebug.
>better pacing
>when walk and talk segments exist
>when zorah magdaros exists
>when unskippable cutscenes exist
Hunting Horn is way better in World.
>worldlet thinks his opinion matters
Allowing people to get help with the single player quest line was a mistake. There needs to be something to filter you morons to force you to get good instead of you world new gays getting carried by us old players.
>I played 400 hours of World on PS4
No, you played 350 hours of World and 50 hours of loading screens.
>50 hours of loading screens
that's a very conservative number
This shit made me fricking drop world on PS4, especially when every single quest would have shitters triple cart and waste my time. When trying to play online I'd maybe manage to get through one successful hunt every 2 hours. Ironic that the monhun on the most powerful hardware ever has by far the worst loading and framerate of any console monhun.
And sure you can play solo but if I'm doing that I'd rather just play an older monster hunter.
I dropped World on PS4 because of this webm. I had 350 hours played. You did this to me, I never even finished the game.
I remember this webm being a (You) farmer a while back it's still fricking absurd
i mean, it's still fricking unbelievable
I tried world at a friend's house until anja and I could not believe the load times on a base ps4. Entering every hunt took like a fricking a minute
Looking back World was probably the sole reason I was okay waiting near a year to pick up Rise on the PC
?t=597
>2 minutes to get into the GL
Worlds MP is dogshit and way over complicated. Rise MP is soooo much easier.
World will probably last you longer
They're literally more or less the same easy shit game. The only major difference is that Rise respects your time by not shoving a garbage story with unskippable cutscenes down your throat.
Rise if you like action/fighting games, world if you like adventure/walking sim games.
It's either release order, or getting whichever is the latest to jump into online while it's hot.
Whichever you choose, ignore the guardian armor and defender weapons. They will trivialise everything pre-expansion and prevent you from learning how to play. Its almost a literal god-mode for the first few hours
Rise is the greatest third person action game you'll ever play once you find a weapon that "clicks" with you
World is better but this is a Nintendo board so I'm gonna say Rise
Chad:World
Virgin: Rise
Rise takes a huge dump on the bing bing shit spin-off.
I miss IB Hammer.
ohnonono worldchads I thought risegays were the bings???
Emulate FU.
you're probably better playing the older ones first. I'd recommend playing them in launch order
Anyone's up for some World hunting on PC?
Both are good in different ways. Rise is more arcadey with shorter monster fights and ninja bug mechanics, World has more intricate maps, unskippable cutscenes, and looks much nicer.
>shorter monster fights
actually besides fatalist I'm pretty sure the times in world are the shortest in the series
I should have clarified I was talking about village HP. Hub HP they definitely do not die faster.
World
Rise is just a low effort B-team bing toddler pandering spin-off. You can't compare it to World which was made by the A-team and had huge backing.
world was cutscene shit for playstation players that wanted a """cinematic experience"""
enjoy your higher resolution textures at the cost of having to stare at the handler constantly as she tells you what a good job she's doing
the worst part is that you couldn't skip them. absolutely insane
Take your bing pills, troony.
>Autistically shit posting about fricking RAMPAGES
NOBODY PLAYS THOSE. THEY LITERALLY GAVE UP ON THAT MODE
what game do you think replaced blood for these awful flashes anon?
He's right though. I have made multiple characters in every Monster Hunter to replay from low rank except World because of the cutscenes. They make the game a 5/10 for me, total lack of replayability.
100% World. It's a better game. Doing Fatalis is something one of a kind and something Rise failed to recreate. The game is beautiful.
World was the game that ruined the Monster Hunter fandom, because like most games that attract newbies they then join the established community’s and shit them up. No one I know who has played more than one game calls World the best. Most peoples favourites are MHFU and MHGen
those are moronic tendies still suffering from the success of World, FU was the World for Dosgays, 3rd and 4th gen is the World for FUgays
world
rise. it improved the monsters they brought back and has good newcomers. most of the fights in the game are 8~10/10
There’re both great games. It doesn’t matter which you start, cause once you’re part of the community and franchise you’ll playing both anyway.
>Rise
Crabs
>World
No crabs
>Rise
Switch skills
>World
Crutch claw
The choice is obvious.
......Generations Ultimate then.
That wasn’t the question.
>Arts
No thanks, go one set of games back.
Everything post 4U is lame in comparison to everything pre GenU
unironically everything before World is unplayable now due to how shit the controls are in comparison
and this is from someone who's been playing since MH2
MH3U
Rise is completely empty compared to World.
>Gathering hubs? Gutted in rise to 4 max. No fun allowed.
>Housing? Gutted in Rise. Reduced to shitty toys, no furniture customization at all.
>Fishing? Gutted in Rise. Just press a button to get fish.
>Monster research? Removed in Rise.
>Endemic life? Removed in Rise.
>Felyne tribes? Removed in Rise.
>Buddy gadgets? Removed in Rise.
>Tailriders? Removed in Rise.
>Pendants? Removed in Rise.
>Treasure hunts? Removed in Rise.
>Steamworks? Removed in Rise.
>Guiding Lands? Removed in Rise.
>Big collab events? Removed in Rise.
>Poogie? Removed in Rise.
>Food? Removed in Rise. Eat your candy balls for babies.
>Monsters? It only has 17.
Now they're removing features from base Rise and putting in NOTHING to replace them. What were they even doing during development? Not adding more monsters than Iceborne, that's for sure. They've done nothing, just phoning in the most lazy cash grab ever.
I have no idea what literally any of that is so it's clear it was all garbage new shit added in the fake Western Monster Hunter trash that was World.
Thank God they reverted it all back to normal for the good modern game.
Im (mostly) ok with how monster hunts are done in rise (never liked investigations) but man do i miss all the endemic and home stuff. Sometimes after a few hard battles i just wanna catch some rare bugs and fish for an hour
Imagine fricking rise being your first MH lol
That's how the 3DS babies were made and how they destroyed the fanbase with endless anime related arguments regarding the "modern" gameplay
>it's not anime because of pretty graphics
It's anime because the 3DS games introduced anime weapons, anime monsters, anime physics, and anime animations, moron.
Nobody gives a frick about graphics except worldbabies, which are no better than the 3DS zoomers.
>anime weapons
It's so obvious you either haven't played much of MH or you started with World. Absolutely fricking embarrassing.
Nice projection moron. Your garbage generation ruined MH for good.
A gorilla isn't anime.
>A gorilla isn't anime.
show me a gorilla going super saiyan and throwing lasers you mongoloid. I genuinely can't fricking believe someone is calling a dragon ball reference not anime
>bro it's le tranime reference!
No one cares, the gameplay isn't anime. It's a gorilla that punches hard, like a real gorilla.
>the game play isn’t anime
What? I feel like I’m playing Attack on Titan again with the wire bugs and switch skills. What are you on about?
>What? I feel like I’m playing Attack on Titan again with the wire bugs and switch skills.
Yes? Rise and World were utter shit, that's my argument.
and jumps in the air descending spinning. and throw lasers. and powers up going super saiyan
?
>bro its a gorilla going forward that's le ebin TRANIME REFERENCE BROO
?t=91
Educate yourself, moron, stop watching tranime and watch real life documentaries instead, maybe then you wouldn't be such a fricking moron.
when does it turn yellow and shoot lightning?
After it touches an phone wire
>wow a gorilla can jump? that's the same as leaping in the air and and dropping rolling as a ball three times
I genuinely don't believe people deny that rajang is a db reference. reminder that you breaking his tail also severely depowers hin just like in db
>the gameplay isn't anime
Black person, he shoots a laser cannon out of his mouth.
Naw it just went a different direction for one title. There’s no word from Capcom if they’re going to stay this course of not. For all we know they go back to pre-world next.
>Naw it just went a different direction for one title.
They have been going off-rails for over a decade you moron.
3U was the last real MH game, everything afterwards have been animeshit and progressively worse with each game.
I want capcom to focus on just making MH remakes, so we can go back to MH Tri and FU.
>old good, new bad
You have to be 18 to post here, Jayden
3U is new to me, but you probably consider it old since you're a zoomer. Anything pots 2010 is new and modern.
>anti-anime worldgays
>anime monsters
Rise because World is so good. Doing World first and all the others will feel like downgrades. World is the perfect game.
World. It's a no-question.
Is there a way to cheat engine myself infinite character edit vouchers on rise? and if so how do I do it?
Rise PC crack when, I just want to play multiplayer with my bros who dont have switches.
can you even play online if you pirate it?
world is easier and has slower punching bag monsters and forced tutorials to make a good babies first monster hunter game
rise makes everything faster and harder
world is dead
rise isnt
They're single player games so it should be a problem
How is World dead when I can still easily go and do hoonts with random mad lads on GU? Pretty sure even MH3U is still active as well.
World is very different from other MH games. It's way more focused on being a cinematic experience. It's a lot like a Sony first party game in that regard.
My new thing is pulling monsters out of traps with the marionette spider to prevent capture when playing online. Very satisfying.
bros i literally cannot play without spiribird's call
it's too much of a fricking crutch i need intervention
>tfw spiribirds call, blood rite 3, defense boost 7, recovery up 3, ee2, spirit bird rampage deco
embrace maximum comfy
they will never know our power
>which one should I get as my first?
I don't agree with 4U but I agree on the playing the older versions first.
Watch someone doing their first hunt on both games and decide for yourself.
World is like 6 dollars after the capcom bundle
Iceborne has only two fights, Fatalis and Alatreon, the rest is either better in other games
(the exception is Yian Garuga but he isn't enough to compare to Fatalis and Alatreon) or simply a bad addition to the series
Frontier.
I love how OP has yet to get a straight answer at over 100 replies. That tells me both games are worth playing and you should get both
PLEASE READ THIS
I have a theory
hammer is supposed to be a multiplayer weapon, and your job is to stun/exhaust the monster as much as possible so your group can kill it fast
this explains why hammer solo does sucj poor damage, right?
The only “multiplayer weapon” is HH.
If hammer is doing bad damage that’s just because its shit. Other weapons can score consistent knockouts and still do good damage.
Except the multiplayer status limit is a thing and the entirety of a hammers contribution could be replicated by a couple of endemic toads. Or just literally any other weapon capable of KOs.
True in the old games, not true in the tendie games.
Skip World/Iceborne.
It's Dark Souls 2 of MH.
>play ultimate
>miss cat chefs and normal food
>play freedom unite
>miss rise and how streamlined it is
>play rise
>miss ultimate and its atmosphere and high fps
Play World first.
Buy Rise in like a year when all the updates are out and its on sale for dit cheap.
FU is the only acceptable start game
monhun games barely change, dont let people lie to you otherwise. literally japanese cod, those two games are when the series started to break out of its rut so pick whichever. id go with world personally because its cheaper and better from a graphical standpoint. then by the time you get through that and want more rise should be going on sale so you can get both discounted. if not wait for mh6 because it will probably be the biggest and best yet if its optimized for pc/ps5/xsx
Buy world and enable iceborne expansion through creamapi for free.
>capcom shoved new denuvo so you cant do it with sunbreak
woe is me
Great game. I don’t get why vee hates it so much.
morons probably
The styles suck and barely add anything of worth when you put them all together. It's just an outdated game at this point.
it's soulless apart from the final boss
The only MonHuns with soul are the original and Dos.
Base world is boring as frick and Iceborne introduced the mandatory shitclaw mechanic and made the game unfun to play. Go with Rise+ Sunbreak.
You can fix that using the ICE mod.
Let's see the pros and cons of each shall we?
World Pros:
>wedge beetles
>auto crafting making things easier
>multi camp fast travel in quests
>pleasant art style
>big lobbies for 16 people
World Cons:
>weak roster of newcomers
>slinger
>weapon design is bland
>forces you to play 'online only' like a damn souls game so no pause button
>slinger
>big lobbies are pointless
>borked quest structure due to having single player cutscenes in a multiplayer focused online experience
>Zorah Magdaros
>overall weak maps mechanically
>slinger
>decoration farming
>end game is boring
>characters don't shut the frick up about telling you to do story quests after every fricking hunt you return from
>scoutflies remove the sense of tracking monsters down since they'll do that for you
>the goddamn slinger
Rise Pros:
>Dogs
>better weapon and armor design
>more diverse roster of monsters
>all the good stuff World introduced like auto craft and mutli camp fast travel
>pleasant art style
>smaller lobbies again
>extra player mobility so they're not locked down to corridor chasing like in World
>pause button when you're hunting solo
Rise Cons:
>short
>an owl shows you where the monsters are all times
>lighting doesn't look as pleasant as World's did
>spiribirds
>no 'end game' to speak of if you care about that shit
>rampages
>charm melding
Though really everything can be summarized like this: If you want to get a feel of what Monster Hunter as a franchise is like then start with World since it's technically a numbered installment then eventually upgrade into Iceborne. Rise is a side game and treats itself as such the same way Generations Ultimate did, so everything is as over the top or 'grounded' as you make it to be. Personally I say if you like one get the other; my pros and cons are subjective anyway, but I got 700+ hours out of World+Iceborne and I'm seeing similar time spent with Rise+Sunbreak. They're both a lot of fun.
>World Pros:
>pleasant art style
This is a joke, right?
Anyone that plays World first becomes a shitposting gaylord that does nothing but ruin every thread. I would say to try one of the older games first. Give p3rd a try, theres an english patch and you can emulate it

Rise’s color palette really sucks.
Citadel is the only map in the game that isn’t an eyesore.
DELETE that screenshot
Ganker told me Rise looks great if you change Brightness to 49
Ignoring any argument of gameplay or whatever (since all MH games have their own issues,)
The only time the bottom map looked remotely vibrant was Portable 3rd, and that's stretching it.
nooo don't completely destroy his narrative
tbf, night-time on any map ruins the colour palette a lot of the time. Also, the red tint in the volcano is annoying too.
>I have a Neo-g8 monitor and RTX 3080.
Same, and it looks fine.
Not even a good troll post considering half or more of that shit is still in.
>NO PLEASE SIR I NEED TO EAT MORE RATHALOS SYHIT SO MY BUGS CAN TRACK HIM
imagine being this much of a shit eater
>every single point mentioned is something that sucked
thanks for reminding me how awful World was
Play neither.
World forever ruined the series.
World perfected it. Man the series was becoming really stale just rehashing MHFU endlessly.
More like it dumbed it down to the point even the mouthbreathing morons could play through it.
Ok but enough about Rise.
KINO!!!!!
Meanwhile have this MMO-shit cooldown skill that recharges in mere seconds and will always bail you out
Wirefalling requires 2 braincells instead of temporal mantle 1 braincell
>Wirefalling requires 2 braincells
haha no, and unlike mantle it recharges near instantly.
See
>wirefalling towards a slime ball
Negative IQ
Typical souls -player trying to abuse i-frames when there's almost none.
>and will out bail you ou- ACK
WOMBO COMBOOOO
>use skill
>get hit again
>die
Oh and i forgot
>not even need to use potions anymore or even waste skill slots lmao
Risebros, don't tell them we have on-hit regen in our game too now!
>all he had to do was post one picture
>you get so triggered you had to post WORDS WORDS WORDS webm
lel
>all he had to do was post one webm
>you get so triggered you had to post WORDS WORDS WORDS greentext
LMAO
World is the dark souls 2 of monster hunter for me.
I didn't hate it, but I didn't love it either.
Rise is newer. Play that.
I miss all the little animations they added in world. Probably the main reason rise feels so stiff for me.
Rise was a covid rush job. It exists 99% because MH6 was to valuable to test RE Engine on. Rise is the engine test run for MH6.
World has endgame. Rise doesn't have endgame. If you want infinite fun content while progress through the game, play World. If you want a scarce experience, without any motivation to keep you going, play Rise. You will probably drop Rise after 30 hours or less.
gacha as endgame is shit
Where did all these people who think monster hunter is supposed to be a live service mmo come from? The endgame of monster hunter has pretty much always been mantle and gem hunting to make cool armor.
>30 hours
250 hours in world, and 150 and counting in Rise for me. Just because you dropped the game after village Magnamalo doesn't mean everyone else does.
>World and Iceborne end game is repeating the same hunts over and over in the hopes you'll get a shiny new weapon or the random stone you actually need to augment your gear will appear
>this is 'fun' to some people
That's the point where I stop playing. If I killed everything and RNG is all you have to offer as an end game reward then you're not really giving me anything to shoot for.
Brainless use of wirefall is pretty much the only way to cart in this game
Where can I get Sunbreak DLC for cheap? Not spending $40 just to make Rise a finished game, Capcom.
>World
The basis for every mainline MH game from here on.
Shitmons don't stand out because the whole base roster is comprised of them
>IB's Fatalis is the best fight in the entire series.
Behemoth was better.
Behemoth was a shit mmo fight with mmo mechanics that didn't belong in my single player experience. Didn't play iceborne BTW because World on ps4 was so dissapointing so I can't comment on fatalis
Filtered. Extremoth is the best MH fight to date.
Don't know what extremoth is, it's probably shit though if it has mmo aggro mechanics and/or dps checks though
F I L T E R E D
No, Behemoth was too weird. Fatalis is so much fun. I've never enjoyed getting my ass kicked as with Fatalis. Dude's a straight up test of true mettle.
>Best lineup of elder dragons
>World Kushala
lmao
Namielle, Velkhana, and Shara are the only ones worth returning in future games
2h battery life.
Wrong thread, bing bing troony.
Iceborne for 40 of my hard earned neetbux or rise+sb for 70? I don't really care about multiplayer so concurrent player numbers are irrelevant to me, and yes I have a character ready for IB.
Iceborne is way cheaper than $40. And you should play that. It's one of the best games/DLCs ever made.
if you're willing to spend 70$ on rise then just get both IB and rise+SB on cdkeys, it's like 13$+17$+27$
captcha: JJ 2MH
even my captcha is telling you this
Should I get rise if I'm probably only going to play alone?
Rise is more fun alone, world has some dumb mechanics that were meant to appeal to mmo mouthbreathers
Yes much like World it's more fun alone but to be fair they did vastly improve the multiplayer experience as well.
Of course. People that play multiplayer didn't beat the game
Why are the Japs sooo bad at this game?!? Trying to farm Gaisnagorm armor set and they keep fricking triple carting in the first phase. He’s the worst final monster in any of previous title and is EASY. FFS.
>no festivals
>no hip swaying

Low IQ Black person.
Reported for racism
Can't handle the bantz, huh?
Typical wowtroon.
MMOs are shit homosexual. it's just that XIV for some reason flooded MH after world
Hey homosexual bing wienersucker. MH was always intertwined with online. Hell Fatalis was originally an ONLINE-ONLY monster. The initial MH games on PS2 had more sophisticated online than the handheld ones. World is continuing its console legacy.
>PLEASE CAPCOM GATE THE CONTENT BEHIND A TIME FRAME FOR ME
you can eat shit all you want but don't expect people to want that as well kek
The graphical seasonal events rotate all the time you wienersucker. It's more than obvious your bing shit covered hands have never even played the game.
all of that shit should be on the game to begin with moron.
homie the original console games had events, just because your handheld spinoff shit didnt doesnt mean its "MMO" shit
ah yes I'm so glad people can't even fight fatalist anymore in the original games if they wanted to replay on original hardwre because the fricking servers went down
This garbage is not MH.
MH is 4 guys in a tavern.
>getting filtered by wholesome LGBTQIA+ parade
touch grass, chud
Art from monster hunter 1.
Yeah, guys in a tavern.
No gayshit anywhere.
Neither. Monster Hunter is for pedophiles.
MH3U
Frick off with console war Black persontry play monster hunter
>play monster hunter
I might pirate sb, til then I won't play mh though.
why are publishers so scared of numbering their games now? every sequel now just have a useless modifier attached to it instead of an orderly 2/3/4 etc
Because normies new to a franchise will be scared off. They assume they're all part of one story and will be confused by starting on a later entry. Tons of people were scared off from Final Fantasy this way even though most are completely different stories
>mfw MH World 2 outsells even Elden Ring
I will be here to collect all the tears.
does rise has new bawdwear ?
It doesn't even have the old bawdwear.
not worth having to suffer through another game with Kirin in it
Kirin was fine in world, really satisfying part breaks.
How did he get his horn back after angry monkey broke it off and ate it?
SPOILERS!!! OMG
rise is horrible for huntress dressup, even the mods are shit
>seething coomer
Kys
ywnbaw
Rise's armor sucks. Anything actually good is just updated old armor. The actually brand new armor designs are the ugliest shit imaginable, and part of that is the color choices.
should I get sunbreak ? reviews are mixed
Wait for a sale
Just pirate it.
Has it been cracked?
>Just pirate it.
no, I'm too bad and only play multi
The mixed reviews seem to be from people whose saves it broke due to them being pirates/cheaters.
If you already own Rise, sure. I'd say wait for a sale if you can though.
It's the director, Ichinose. He just doesn't get MonHun. He did the same shit in Generations with that fondue garbage.
This is a trend of the portable games to not have standard canteen food. Portable 3rd had hot springs, Generations had that cheese kabob thing, and now Rise has dangos.
Both are shit, and a fall from grace
Just emulate the actual good monster hunter games, and don't bother with this casualized trash
both are westernized, dumbed down pigslop fit only for consumption by the below average iq american audience
it's not like the games were ever hard or overly complex, but now they're just braindead
the cope of pre-world gays is utterly insane
I'm sorry that your series finally got good and achieved widespread appeal
Why would you throw yourself under the bus like that?
Any Unga Bungas try full Malzeno vs full Gias? Thoughts?
dont even bother getting either of them on PC, because everyone cheats
>cheating in MH
Wut?
in rise, 9 out of 10 people simply cheat in perfect talismans
And? Does it matter? Its not a competitive game homosexual.
Still cheating, you didn't beat the game by any stretch of the imagination
I paid for the game I'm entitled to have my fun and these games are dogshit without cheats.
>you didn't beat the game
And why should I care what you think?
I didnt cheat. But it seems you care way too much about other people cheating in a single player / co-op game without any competitive content.
Yes and?
Ain't nobody got the time to grind.
Capcom made a shitty system, people fixed it.
The absolute state of snoys and their child-like vocabulary. Why do you write like that, homosexual motherfrickers? You are fricking disgusting.
>mh thread
>console homosexualry
>elden ring underage lingo

Damn I didn't know Khezu went hard. No cap needa bool with this homie sometime furu furu.
Have they explained why the sky is pink at night in the citadel?
If you want to play a Monster Hunter game then get World. If you want a generic weebshit action game then get Rise.
>worldsperm calling other mh games generic
world is the epitome of generic. That's why sonyggérs love it so much.
>hunt 5 MR Almudron
>3 golden orbs
>0 mantles
Frick off shit weasel
None, just play Generations Ultimate, the last good Monster Hunter.
rise has a better roster and in general better fights
You know they fricked up the armor designs in Rise when the only defence the Rise cultists can think of is calling you a coomer.
>ask for bawdwear
>why are people calling me a coomer
kek
>expect armor design on the level of previous games
>get sanitized designs for children instead
>when you complain the kids call you out for liking girls that can give you cooties
Rise catering to children had disastrous consequences.
>get sanitized designs for children instead
what does that even mean anon?
You'll understand when you get older
>plays a female character
>surprised that the armor looks bad
Sorry monster hunter is for men
If you want to play Rise might as well play God Eater 3 instead.
>numbers:off
>Hit effects: reduced 50%
>Other player hit effects: reduced 75%
>Wirebugs skills: dont use them
>Stand still when drinking potions
>Monster riding: OFF (optional, on but only wall slams. No monster attacks)
Ah yes, the Classic ™ Guild ™ play style.
If you don't play like this you literally haven't beaten the game.
Both are bad. MH is hilariously overrated here holy shit.
>le enlightened centrist
He's not wrong though.
Did they ever being back that one dragon from 3U? He was a fricker
>GU
>has mah homie Grimclaw
>has Akantor and Ukanlos
>World and Rise
>don't have mah homie Grimclaw
>no Akantor or Ukanlos
Idunno, the choice seems pretty easy.
You can grab Rise at some point too, just play World at some point because its a lot of fun.
>final bosses
Also just to be clear I mean get World+Iceborne, not just the base game
Xenojiva was not that good though
but it has quite possibly one of the most satisfying and best final bosses of any video game ever.
Xeno, AT Nerg, Shara, or Fatalis? All of them were great except Xeno.
Fatty, I didn't want to spoil. Nerg and Shara were pretty fun too, the end game monsters are good in general but nothing hit quite like Fatalis. Like I don't play as many games as some people here do but soloing Fatalis was honestly one of the best feelings I've had playing any game ever.
>finally figuring out all the attacks long enough to realize you are FRICKED because of the time limit and you have to go in and go ham, no pussies allowed
>trying out different weapons and strategies; this is the boss that got me to switch to GS
>making use of the stuff they give you in the terrain (ballistae, cannons, etc)
>when that fricking theme of a hunter kicks in at the end
why does the ui look like shit
