Maru's pretty mediocre even if modded to be white. All her scenes are about her dumb robot and she hits on you even after you marry her best friend Penny. Plus her dad is Demetrius, which is just terrible.
Maru's a 5/10 in a town with a few 10s. She even makes Emily and Leah look pretty damn good in comparison. She's not completely irredeemable, the glasses are cute, but there really isn't any reason to go with her when much better options exist.

How does one fix Clint, either via 1.6 or a mod? He's probably the most hated person in the game, even more so that Demetrius, which is really saying something. Would giving him an actual girlfriend help? Or is he beyond redemption?
First, make it so he has at least a fucking shred of dignity. Have him stop lurking in the shadows and pining after Emily if she gets married. Its pathetic and shows he doesnt respect her OR the player. A man with no respect his hardly a man at all.
Second, make him more masculine. He doesnt need to be a dudebro or anything like that, but he's a fucking blacksmith. That's cool as fuck! I don't even hate him. More pity than anything. Partly because I had a friend who acts just like him.
His events with the farmer should be farmer goading him to being more bold, or comfortable in his own skin. By the end, Clint would either be less of a simp towards his oneitis with more passion toward his craft, and maybe just have him dance with some npc lady at the bar.
To be fair, if you befriend Clint first he does ask out Emily with you only mildly threatening him and she says yes. But you are pretty much guarenteed to see Emily's 8 heart event before then and it won't play if that happens. The problem is that Clint had a whole arc where he gets over his shyness and hooks up with Emily but when Emily was made datable there was never a plan B for Clint.
I would have there be another mini-questline where he gets over Emily and goes on a date with Sandy or the Joja Mart girl or anyone really that isn't Emily.
He never really does show any passion for his work, even though he's supposedly pretty good at it.
That's why I mention to change the narrative to have him get over his oneitis.
I've said in other threads, half trolling, have seriously, that he should try and get with Abigail. In theory at least he would be able to keep her happy with a steady supply of weapons and gems. People... would not be happy with that though.
Honestly though, it's a little weird that Clint would want to be with Emily in the first place. They have very little in common with each other and totally opposite personalities. I know it's a small town and there are limited options, but still.

In this route you're going for the "never unearthed again in current human history" outcome. Obviously, remove any bedding or other parts stained with any blood to a safe remote place, and burn them before burying the ashes. And leave no trace of yourself in his shitty home, not a speck of DNA, cover yourself AND clean anywhere you've been with bleach or other strong agents. And of course, formulate and substantiate a full alibi for your whereabouts in all the days before and after his disappearance. All this should fix Clint just fine.

That's already in the game but most people think it doesn't work because people don't see the cutscene where he asks her out. Plus, people absolutely hate it, the Stardew Expanded devs hated it so much they added a cutscene that shows Emily rejecting Clint for a follow up date, which is another reason I don't really like that mod.

I liked frontier and oceans, though the latter gets shit on for barely being a farming sim. General consensus is 4 is the best, 5 is the worst, 1 and 2 are easy skips. I'm not a creative sort, but if you're interested in helping the mod, maybe something you'd like to see in it. A new outfit, a scene for one of the events, maybe an animation if you're up for it.

It's way more developed than that. It's basically a sprite and portrait overhaul with a lot more portraits, a shitload of additional dialogue including unique gift reactions and compatibility with a number of other mods that add functionality, with the biggest being npc adventure support, among other things. There's also the debug events that add a load of new events, many with lewd options, that a lot of anons seem to treat as the star of the show, but they are not done and frankly I don't think should be triggered by anyone until they are. Better to wait and experience it as intended than have them be old news when viewing them proper I think. There's also a lot more content planned like outfits and animated portraits so you may want to hold off outright for that.

If you want a more feature complete e-boi mod I highly recommend morgan. Her mod basically used jas as a template and added more stuff to it like quests and unique items and for the most part her events are all done and properly integrated. She does have a very different feel from jas, she's basically walking innuendo, but she's got soul and her mod is extremely impressive. Also highly recommend beebz mod while not as much content has heart and her events are particularly fun with cgs. And of course shino's mods, though while he's got a lot of girls, they're all somewhat light on content. Ashley's mod adds a spa that all the girls can go to where they get a bit of additional content though, which is pretty cool.

This is his site, he only posts here. A rentry was made to collect all the mods that have been made since which you can keep an eye on for updates. The modding has since slowed down a lot, but hopefully 1.6 changes that.
