Snes version has all the rom hacks. sega version is the same exact game but its got the side menu and its sound is slightly shittier. OH and you with the sega version you gotta have the six button remote
or you gotta do something like hold A and press B or C to switch items but it doesn't tell you this in any of the menus

The Mega Drive version because it has the map on-screen making it easier to navigate, and has less slowdown.

      >has less slowdown.
This game doesn't suffer from much slowdown. You can also turn on a transparent map in the SNES version. It also looks nicer and sounds better. It's no contest, anon.

wrong aspect ratio is kinda shit though, either way not a fan of the game.

        >It also looks nicer
No it doesn't, the screen is stretched out which causes the textures to appear blurred.

        Neither version has any slowdown.

Go watch a video of them playing side-by-side

I've played both versions extensively. Neither has any slowdown.

Correct, the game runs at a higher resolution on Genesis compared to the SNES and the developers used that extra space to display the HUD. Besides that each version of the game uses a somewhat different color palette and music but apart from this there are no other significant differences between both versions.

SNES gets a hidden flamethrower weapon.

always genesis when such choice exists because genesis easier to emulate

For any game with soul, genesis is always better.

The limited color palette and FM synth are condudive to SOUL. SNES is only good for graphicsprostitute j"""RPG"""s with muddy symphonic music.

Both are average, NES style top down shooter games. Out of date gameplay on release.
