Dark Souls games include a ton of systems that can be used to make the game easier. Be it magic, jolly cooperation, long distance weapons, throwing items, NPC summons, etc. The only real challenge is decifering how to access said systems.

Soul sorcery is soul sorcery especially dark bead and the hidden broken spell aural decoy. Miracles are pretty strong especially the heals wrath of the gods and sunlight/moonlight blade. Havels armor exists but the havel ring and FaP ring allow for easy access to high poise the wolf ring too.
