We have no reason to believe that Miquella has a passive power that makes people love him. The Bewitching Branch even notes that Miquella has learned how to compel affection, the opposite of something passive. Mohg kidnapped Miquella because he thinks he can be an Elden Lord if he turns Miquella into a god.
The branches are also sold by unsavory killers and not used by miquella or his faction.
The branches are only sold by stray merchants who want to be left alone, and Miquella himself is dead by the time the game starts while his faction is devastated and infested with the Scarlet Rot. The mist from the Bewitching Branches does resemble the pupils of the Nox's ants when they're controlled though, and those ants immediately try to kill the Nox when the spell breaks.

No, literally every demigod besides Miquella and Morgott (and Melina if she counts) is evil. Maybe Radahn reformed after his failed invasion of Leyendell but it's ambiguous.
radahn is literally one of the least evil demigods, and miquella is a trickster god who forces people to love him.
Radahn was well liked by his constituents but did wage war against Leyendell, costing countless lives in pursuit of personal glory. I'm willing to concede that we don't know what he was like after having been humbled by defeat, and I do LIKE the idea of him being or becoming a sort of reverse Godfrey, a noble and kind man wearing the costume of a barbarian warlord, but because we have no dialogue about him or much direct insight into his motivations, it's hard to say if he say, for example, fought the space aliens to try to save the planet, or because he was just dabbing on space Black folk to show off his gains.
Miquella is an unambiguous hero, and literally never did anything wrong. That's the point of his character, the total loss of his plans, which by and large appear to have been a perfect solution to bypassing Radagon's autism, is a tragedy, and an ironic one, as Mohg ultimately kidnapped Miquella (and thus doomed the Haligtree) because he was beguiled by Miquella's passive emotion powers (and Miquella himself was unconcious and couldn't do anything about it).
The Castle Sol ritual associated with Miquella seems to have involved torturing some Albinaurics, even though Miquella claimed he wanted to provide safe haven for the Albinaurics.
Castle Sol peeps are more like hired mercenaries, they would be given haven in the Haligtree IF they successfully completed the Eclipse ritual.
If they were working with Miquella, then Miquella would have likely visited the castle beforehand and seen what they were doing. As such, he'd have seen their Albinauric torture and rejected them.
The ghosts seem to serve Commander Niall, who even summons two of them in his boss fight, and Niall has apparently been up at Castle Sol with his army since before the Shattering.
Albinaurics are homunculi created by the Nox at some point, or created by mages on the surface trying to copy the Nox's Silver Tear experiments. The Albinaurics have no Grace and the make-up of their bodies seems to interfere with the healing aspects of Erdtree flasks (per the Albinauric Pots), so they can't benefit from the Erdtree and are viewed as a liability to the Erdtree, hence their persecution.

I think the current occupants of castle sol post-date the occupation of Miquella's followers there (indeed, they may have slaughtered Miquella's followers there, hence the presence of ghosts). If so, the tortured albinaurics were likely being tortured to try to get them to spill the beans about where Miquella was and what he was doing.

They are retrograde imitation mimics. The box made mimics and later Nightline, the carian are descended from the nox and use primitive versions. They dont have the knowledge to make real mimics anymore from being generations removed from the nox who are now extinct.

The frog-men supposedly were born from the ripples that spread when gold first arrived and created life. IMO this might be a reference to silver being a real-life by-product of the gold-refining process, something like 10-20% of naturally occuring gold is silver alloy.
The cripples are the ancestors of the nox experents that were done with the intention of creating a lord. This could have been successful, we don't know.
The albinaurics are a shitty chinese imitation of silver tears. The name literally means "silver gold", and this alludes to their origin: whoever made the albinaurics (probably the raya lucarians and maybe specifically the carians) found the mercury of Nox but couldn't animate it like the Nox did. So they tried mixing it with "gold" (normal organic matter), which did produce animated creatures. Gen one albinaurics were created by injecting mercury into corpses. These are the ones that appear human, and lose the use of their legs (interestingly, distal paralysis is a symptom of mercury poisoning, probably intentional). Given these defects, they tried making new albinaurics (gen 2) which resulted in the frog guys. This was probably done by mixing mercury with a much more homogenous mixture of living tissue (creating a sort of mimic of the primordial stew of life). It's worth noting that the second gen albinaurics have much more mercury than gen 1, causing them to be able to algamate to their surroundings more (such as the blood tainted ones in Mohgwyn palace).

Ranni's questline is really impressive from a gameplay/surprise/exploration aspect.
if you had no idea that her plotline existed (I didn't, I didn't look up a guide till I beat the game the first go) and sort of.. stumble upon it, which is a bit hard to do but not impossible... you get to see and do SO much.. and it simply is completely and easily missable.

Having no distinct physical body is a common trait among the "outer gods" (scarlet rot, formless mother, dark moon, fell flame, etc). This is why I suggest that "Godwyn" has or is in the process of becoming something akin to them, given how his presence has disseminated throughout the whole world.

The dark moon travels space and the stars (meteors) follow it. The meteor showers happen because a big gravity well is pulling them to the planet when it makes its pass like a planet x.
The dark moon is the cosmological equivalent of satan, not an alien interloper. It guides the "stars" to rebel against creation, and all of its followers focus on trying to emulate and form their own creation.

The blood star is treated like an actual star, not any random light in the sky. The Dark Moon literally manifests as a black hole devouring a moon, and the Moonlight Altar is mystically at night at all times, so the moons do appear to be outer gods. The Scarlet Rot outer god does have a physical body, the Scorpion's Dagger is made out of part of it.
There is a key difference in here that's being overlooked, which is that the game uses "kami" to refer to ALL the gods, including the Empyreans, the snake god, and the giant's god. The difference is that the outer gods also have the term "sotonaru" alongside, which identifies them as "gods outside", the outside of being the rules of the Golden Order.
Notably, the Greater Will is never referred to as "kami".
The outer gods seem to have control over Empyreans ascended to godhood though, hence why Malenia would be under the power of the Scarlet Rot outer god, Miquella would be beneath the Formless Mother regarding Mohg's plans, and so on. The Frenzied Flame might be similar to the Greater Will, considering that both have Fingers servants, and Miquella's Needle, an item for purging the influence of outer gods, is vital to curing someone of the Frenzied Flame. As such, the Greater Will appears to be an outer god as well, though apparently the most powerful of them.

Deathblight is clearly associated with a certain outer god since its death birds can induce it with their screeching and they predate Godwyn's death, but it seems that power is just a side gig and has little to do with the culture surrounding that god.
The Twinbird Kite Shield notes that the Twinbird is the mother of the Deathbirds and the envoy of an outer god, so it might have been the Elden Beast equivalent for whatever created the Death Blight.
